Chapter 195 - Chapter 195: The attack begins

"So? Are there any guards around?" asked Tyel as he looked over Lily who had just kneeled down in front of the wall and sent a root directly outside, to see if any robots was walking nearby in that moment.

"We're safe… the one walking nearby just went away" said her after a few seconds, as she returned on her feet she opened the hole the group had created and waved at the group to enter there, "Let's go, we don't know when the next robot will arrive" ordered Orechin, the whole group nodded with their head and Vane who was ready to crawl outside, was the first one to go and hide in the bushes in the front.

Soon enough everyone crawled outside and Lily, who was the last one, closed the entrance behind her, "Oke, we're ready to go…" said Orechin as he started to walk really slowly, so that if a guard would be nearby they would not be discovered.

"Still it's strange…" whispered Liro, Darian next to him hearing these words got curious, "What are you saying Liro?" asked him, hearing these words Liro shaked his head.

"Nothing… I was just wondering why the robots can't come here… like what's the reason they can't check further" asked Liro, Darian next to him began to think when he suddenly remembered about the antenna on top of the prison.

"I remember that there was an antenna on top of the prison… maybe the signal just isn't strong enough to spread much outside?" pointed out Darian.

"Signal? Oh the one you've told us about when you explained how Rusty could send you texts?" asked Liro, Darian nodded with his head, "The signal emitted by Rusty is stronger… and I believe that the one made by the antenna on top of the prison is simply weak and doesn't spread much around"

"Oh then if I would let me see here they would not be able to reach me as we're outside their range?"

Both Darian and Liro turned around just to see Vane with one of his strange joke, "Hypotethically yeah… but they can shoot you, send the signal at the guards that someone is outside and… with what you told us, Catripple saw that these robots can explode too… so it would just be a dumb idea" answered Syrmax as he currently didn't have a shirt as his body was becoming bigger.

"Don't make these dumb jokes… we've arrived" said Orechin as he breathed heavely slightly annoyed, as the others behind realized it, in front of them there was the small river dividing the desert with the main land.

"Oh, then if I would let myself be seen here, they would not be able to reach me as we're outside their range?"

Both Darian and Liro turned around just to see Vane making one of his strange jokes. "Hypothetically, yeah… but they can shoot you, send a signal to the guards that someone is outside, and… with what you told us, Catripple saw that these robots can explode too… so it would just be a dumb idea," answered Syrmax, as he currently didn't have a shirt because his body was becoming bigger.

"Don't make these dumb jokes… we've arrived," said Orechin as he breathed heavily, slightly annoyed. As the others behind realized it, in front of them was the small river dividing the desert from the mainland.

"Stop… we can't come out yet." Before everyone was about to get up, Lily signaled the group to stop. "There are some guards nearby," she warned. As the group turned around, they noticed some robotic guards at Ardoris' entrance.

"Tch… what do we do?" asked Orechin, annoyed.

"Let's just wait… I'm sure they will go away by themselves…" said Tyel. "Have you ever heard anything about guards outside the city and how long it takes them to go away?" asked Darian. Tyel shook his head.

"Never heard about it… let's just wait," answered Tyel. The group noticed that the guards were looking directly towards the desert. We can't even take a longer route and go that way… they're still going to spot us. With this thought, Tyel remained looking at the guards.

Different hours passed, around two of them, when finally the guards at the entrance started to move. "Everyone, it's our time!" called out Tyel, waking the others who were half-asleep after these hours.

"Have they found us?" said Vane as he opened his eyes, already ready to attack.

"We're safe to go… they're going back into the city," answered Liro, noticing the door opening behind the robots, and once they entered, the group could return towards the desert.

"Let's go before someone else arrives," said Orechin, who had fallen asleep too, but after Tyel called everyone, he got up without any problem.

"Damn, and I completely forgot where the entrance was located… it's all debris," said Vane, annoyed, as the group arrived at Karyuz's ruins.

"I remember it being somewhere here…" Syrmax started to walk, followed by the others. His body was extremely big, as he had charged it up for at least thirty minutes; more would have meant too much use of his soul.

Syrmax kicked the trapdoor in front of him and revealed once again the entrance to the sanctuary. "Here we are," said he.

As the group headed down, they arrived in the same room where they had fled from the Seamstress some days before, and while it was full of roots when they left, currently it had returned clean.

"So? Have you decided where Liro and I should position ourselves?" asked Lily while yawning. Knowing that she was on the Revealist Team, she had to remain still in a place with Liro and place all of her seeds.

"We're going now…" said Darian as he started to lead the way. "You'll remain there, Syrmax, alright?" asked Orechin as he turned back. Syrmax, who had already sat down nearby the stairs, raised his thumb. "I'll be ready to help y'all escape if there is going to be the need," answered Syrmax as he looked at the group going away and disappearing into the countless yellow paths ahead.

"Let's hope we will not find the Seamstress on our way to this place, eheh…" said Vane, joking. Everyone turned their faces towards him with a look saying: don't even joke about this.

"And you'll remain here. Once we bring the Seamstress, Lily, you'll have to block her with your spells." The group had finally arrived in a big room; unlike the others, this one had only two entrances, but it had multiple corners in which Lily would be able to hide the seeds that would block the Seamstress once she got there.

"And you just have to remain in that simple corner. Thanks to Liro's power, you'll be practically invisible, and once she arrives," added Darian as he looked Lily directly in her eyes while smirking.

"I'll just have to block her!" answered she while raising her voice and smirking too. Hearing that, Darian nodded his head and turned back.

"Okay everyone, I don't think the Seamstress has realized that we're here yet… let's go and search for her." With that, Darian pointed his hands towards the path in front of him, and soon enough, Vane, Orechin, and Tyel began to follow him.

"Good luck everyone… please be alright…" whispered Liro as he watched the group disappear too.

"Okay, let me place each seed so that we will be ready." Once the group got away, there was a small silence that was broken by Lily. Liro nodded his head and began to help Lily find the places for her power.

"And I wonder where we need to arrive to find this Seamstress… ahhh, it's so annoying," said Vane while stretching out. "Remember that we're still in enemy territory, we don't know where she's hiding," answered Darian, with Snowy on top of his shoulder, who was ready to fuse with Darian if an enemy were to attack them.

As the group turned a corner, in front of them was a small black plushie. "Oh, it surprised me…" said Orechin while breathing heavily.

"At least they can't move; they're the plushies the Seamstress has left around for no reason at all…" pointed out Vane.

"Do you think we should reach the Seamstress's room like last time?" asked Darian. "Tyel, does your power say something?" added he. Tyel closed his eyes for a moment and began to use his power.

Without anyone noticing, the plushie behind them suddenly rotated its head 180 degrees and looked at the group standing still, waiting for Tyel's reply. As the plushie realized they hadn't spotted it yet, its body rotated too, and it began to walk towards the group.

"Yeah, we're going well, let's kee—" Tyel opened his eyes and began to tell the group that this route was the right one to reach the Seamstress, when he was interrupted by a weird scream. As the group turned around, they noticed the plushie they had seen before, jumping with its mouth open, about to hit Tyel directly on his head.

"Ember core!" shouted Orechin. A small red crystal appeared in his hands, and as he threw it towards the creature, it ended up exactly between its teeth right before it was about to bite Tyel, who was pulled away by Darian. "Attention!" shouted Darian. As the plushie destroyed the red crystal with its teeth, a small explosion appeared in front of the group.

Right after Darian pulled Tyel away, Snowy jumped into his arms and fused with his body, while the body of the plushie fell to the ground as flames came out of it.

"It has never happened before..." pointed out Vane.

"Yeah, ever since we arrived here, the plushies around were always still…" said Tyel while breathing heavily, still caught by the sudden attack. "…maybe she knows about our attack?" asked Tyel. The group remained still for a moment, thinking about this, when suddenly countless other plushies appeared from one of the paths.

"They're a lot!!" shouted Orechin. As he created a huge blue crystal between the group and the plushies that was able to slow them down, the group started to run in the other direction.

"Can you see the Seamstress?" shouted Darian. Everyone else shook their heads. "She's not there… they are only plushies," answered Vane.

Soon enough, while reaching the blue crystal, the plushies all fused together and formed a huge plushie in the shape of a rocket, and it flew at extreme speed towards the crystal, destroying it immediately upon impact.

"Her plushies can fly too?!" shouted Vane, not expecting that. Right before the rocket was about to reach them, he turned into an eagle, and with his wing, he deflected the rocket, which was simply sent flying away.

"I'll take care of him, you three go away!" ordered Vane as he hardened his body once again and leapt towards the plushie rocket. As the group arrived in the path they were taking before, another huge plushie was rushing towards them from where they were heading; this one had the shape of a bear.

"I'll take care of this other one, you two go and search for the Seamstress!" shouted Orechin, as he created a huge blue crystal to slow down the bear just enough to give time to Darian and Tyel to get away, who just remained still.

"Go, you two! We'll take care of these two!" shouted Vane as he returned to human form and ended up back-to-back with Orechin, who nodded his head. Near them, the bear still had to reach the blue crystal, and the rocket, which had received another hit from Vane, was still confused.

"Remember that other path?" asked Orechin. Tyel nodded his head.

"If you find the Seamstress, bring her from there! We chose that room for a reason!" added Orechin. Behind him, the bear had just reached the crystal, and as it smashed it with its powerful claws, the hidden red crystal exploded, not setting the body of the bear in flames, but charring one of its paws a bit.

"Let's go, Tyel!" Before escaping, Darian launched an ice shard towards the rocket, which was charging again towards Vane. Because of the recoil, the rocket lost its stance again, and Vane didn't lose any time. "Thanks!" he shouted while turning into a polar bear, and with all his strength, he rushed towards the plushie.

Tyel and Darian ran non-stop. "We need to find the Seamstress! Before we kill her, before the others will be safe!" shouted Darian. Both he and Tyel were breathing heavily.

"Let's reach the room like you said, I'm sure the Seamstress is still there!" shouted Darian. Tyel nodded his head, and after some minutes, they finally reached it. Each room was extremely empty; not even a single plushie around a corner was waiting for them.

"Strange… these rooms were unnaturally empty," pointed out Darian. Tyel, next to him, nodded his head. "I agree… it surely was strange…" Tyel suddenly stopped walking. Darian, who was looking at him, remained confused.

"It—it's…" said Tyel as he pointed with his finger at what lay in front of him. "What's the—it's the Seamstress!!" shouted Darian. The Seamstress, who was playing with some plushies, turned back and looked at the group directly in their eyes.

A weird scream came out of her mouth, and without any hesitation, she began to run towards Darian and Tyel, who did the same. The Seamstress, followed by her plushies, began to run towards Darian and Tyel, who simply exchanged a look and nodded their heads, knowing exactly which path they must take.

"Ahhh… it's always so annoying waiting for the group to arrive." Syrmax hadn't charged up more; he simply remained nearby the ladder, while his body was the same size as last time. Until Syrmax released the energy, his body would always remain like that.

Suddenly, he began to hear some footsteps. It's not an ally… it's not even a human, thought Syrmax as he got to his feet. As he turned towards the sound, he noticed a plushie in the shape of a turtle going directly towards him, really slow.

"Oh c'mon… it's only you?" Syrmax, annoyed, removed his hands from his pockets and used a bit of his energy to create an attack on the enemy. His body became smaller, though not back to its original size, and a huge crater appeared under the plushie while the walls nearby were slightly ruined.

"At least send someone stronger…" As he turned around to sit again, he heard other footsteps once more. As he turned back, he realized that the plushie was still alive. "How did it survive that?!"
