Falling Blossom Emotion is a secret art passed down in the Big Three families as a countermeasure to domains. Falling Blossom Emotion shrouds the user in cursed energy that counter-attacks the moment a domain's guaranteed hit makes contact. The cursed energy defends the user automatically, countering any attack with equal force to nullify it.
Being a Zenin, I, of course, learned it. It's a skill that can be learned with sufficient hard work.
When Sukuna unleashed his Domain Expansion, his guaranteed-hit, guaranteed-kill effect began relentlessly shredding everything within its reach until only dust remained. Desperate to survive the onslaught, I instantly activated Falling Blossom Emotion.
"You have so many tricks up your sleeve," Sukuna remarked, wearing a mock smile. "You must be popular with the children."
While he said that my thoughts were in a different place, with how thing are going my curse energy will collapse and I will die.
When fighting with Jogo, I awoke my domain expansion as well as used too much curse energy to run here. My binding vow will only multiply the curse energy output of the reserve I have when I activate it. When I awaken my binding vow now, in Sukuna's presence, my base curse energy is very little.
It seems I need to be a punching bag a bit. My feedback mechanism of binding vow will only activate when I experience damage, and since the fight with Jogo, I haven't received any damage, but since my curse energy is hitting the limit, there are no other ways. I really hate it; it makes me feel like a masochist.
With that in mind, I deactivated Falling Blossom Emotion. Instead of the secret art, I coated my body with a much thinner layer of cursed energy. Just enough reinforcement to prevent catastrophic injuries. Just enough protection to keep my limbs attached and allow the Reverse Cursed Technique to function.
Just as I did that, cut started to apper in my body
SLASH!
A cut opened across my shoulder, then another across my ribs, then my thigh. Blood splattered onto the shattered ground and Pain exploded throughout my body but all that was instantly healed by RCT.
"Holy shit, that hurts." Yeah, the pain didn't heal, but I have a high pain tolerance. Is it a curse or a blessing? I don't know. What I do know is that today, Sukuna's ass is about to get whopped.
Sukuna chuckled, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. "I see, is that your binding vow?"
Before he could react, I reactivated Falling Blossom Emotion. The cursed energy surged, and utilizing Projection Sorcery, I bypassed his perception to appear directly behind him. I coiled my remaining energy into my fist and lunged forward, delivering a blow that bypassed his physical defenses to strike directly at his essence.
"The result was a soul-piercing punch," I murmured, my voice barely audible over the chaotic roar of the crumbling domain. Against any ordinary jujutsu sorcerer, the sheer density of that impact would have been instantly fatal or caused irreparable, permanent disability, as their soul would have been shattered beyond recognition.
However, Sukuna was a different beast entirely. He kept his soul under constant, vigilant guard, and his essence had been tempered over centuries to such chilling perfection that my strike—calculated and desperate as it was—did little more than rattle his entire being. It was a tremor that vibrated through the very foundation of his cursed presence, a resonance so profound that even Yuji, trapped in the depths of their shared consciousness, would finally feel the violent upheaval from within.
And that was my goal, as long as Yuji and Sukuna shared the same body, I can't kill him so this is the only way to wake Yuji with a jolt.
"I see. You are more than just a bug," Sukuna said as his domain deactivated as the black markings that covered Yuji's body slowly began to recede. Sukuna's malicious grin lingered for a fraction of a second before fading entirely, replaced by confusion. Then came the familiar pink-haired teenager, blinking as though he had just awakened from a terrible dream.
"Yuji." My voice broke the silence.
He looked toward me immediately. His expression was blank at first, then his eyes wandered across the destruction surrounding us. The collapsed buildings, the torn pavement, The bloodstains and finally, the bodies. Two small bodies lay motionless near the remains of the kindergarten entrance.
The moment Yuji saw them, he remembered that he was unable to protect them; if he had been a moment earlier, then he would have saved them. One of those children was half-alive when he, Megumi and Nobara arrived, but he couldn't save that child.
A tiny drop of water formed in Yuji's eyes as he thought of what he couldn't save. The Guilt was eating him inside as he looked at eyes of children, which have yet to lose there innocence and playfulness.
And regardless of whose fault it truly was, Yuji would blame himself.
I walked forward without speaking and stopped beside one of the bodies. The child's face was peaceful, almost as though they had merely fallen asleep, even though they didn't get a peaceful death.
Carefully, I crouched down and lifted the small body into my arms. The child weighed almost nothing, but the body was heavy to carry; it was as though someone were pressing me down. Once again, my hands have been dyed with the blood of a child. Why do I once again live my life as a murderer? Why can't I have a peaceful life? If I am this cursed, why did I get a second chance?
Those were the thoughts that were pressuring me, and then I turned toward Yuji. He still stood there motionless, staring into one of the bodies.
Drowning in guilt before it had even fully formed. "Yuji."
He didn't respond at first, so I called him once again. "Yuji."
This time his head slowly turned toward me His eyes were unfocused, but I did mind that as I nodded toward the second child. "Pick him up."
The words seemed to shock him. "W-What?"
"Pick him up."
His lips trembled. "I..."
"Pick him up, Yuji." I once again repeated. For several seconds, he simply stood there, and then he slowly walked forward. Each step looked heavier than the last. When he finally reached the second child, his hands hesitated.
I adjusted the child in my own arms and turned toward the road leading out of the ruined area. "Come on."
Yuji remained silent.
"We're taking them home." I said, "They deserve at least that much."
