Cid looked away from the system screen to see the Elite Mob become one of his companions. He was genuinely excited. He wanted to look at the summoned undead as an ally.
The corpse starts moving.
Slowly.
A dark shadow of the defeated monster emerged, noting that it had turned into Cid's ally.
Even after looking at the process multiple times, he was still amazed at the process.
But unsurprisingly, another system message rose.
[ Elite Mob 'Goblin Warrior' Has Successfully Been Raised ]
The new ally suddenly opened its eyes and looked at the ceiling. Previously, its eyes were as red as blood, but now, they are light blue. It became bigger and even more bulky. But one thing was clear. It was not as strong as the one they killed before.
Realising its birth, it quickly stood up and bowed to Cid, who was barely standing up due to his injury.
"What! It even knows how to bow..." Cid said in amazement while gripping his ribs to feel better. "Ouch!" Cid quietly mumbled in pain.
"Wait... Why are some of my rib bones back together?" Cid thought. "Does the system heal injuries too?"
Waiting to find out, Cid immediately checked his system screen.

"WHAT!!! HE RAISED THAT THING!" A few kids watching screamed after looking at the Elite Mob getting raised as Cid's ally. Some had doubts, and some were scared. "Wait... What if it comes and kills us?"
"Hah, trust me, it won't." Someone from the back replied with a light smirk. "I doubt it could kill a fly. There's no way it could even come close to its strength from befo-"
Just as he was finishing his sentence, the Goblin Warrior looked at him with its icy blue eyes.
A suffocating pressure drifted towards his body as his legs gave out.
He dropped to the floor like he was kneeling.
After the fall of the guy who said that the Goblin warrior was weak, some people started doubting everything. "HEY, THIS HAS TO BE FAKE! NO WAY SOMEONE COULD DO THAT FROM JUST A LOOK!"
Cid didn't react.
It had been a while since he'd stopped caring about what other people thought of him.
As Cid looked away from the crowd, his Elite Summon pointed its fingers at something. It was pointed directly at the Goblin Warrior's dead body, more specifically, near its heart. As Cid turned to see what his summon had told him, the crowd began to approach him and his friend.
" They killed it! I don't know how he summoned it at the end, but it must be his skill." One of the people approaching him said in amazement. "Yeah! They killed the impossible monster." Someone else replied.
"Yeah, did you hear that in Class Z, instead of the normal goblins, they got attacked by one of these." A man at the back of the crowd stated. "Apparently, the whole class got wiped out... Rest in peace, Class Z."
Everyone immediately nodded in sadness.
Someone in the front started to cry. No one made fun of her for that; they understood.
But this moment might've been the first time after the apocalypse that they had been somewhat happy.
They finally knew.
They knew that they actually had a chance if they fought back.
Slowly but surely, the crowd started calming down. They started heading towards what looked like the entrance of the university.
"Hmmm... Why are they all heading towards the entrance?" Cid told himself. "Wait... Are all the people alive gathered there? Ah, I'll just go later when I'm fully healed." As Cid was about to do something else, he got a strange feeling. "Wait... Class Z. It sounds familiar for some reason, although my memory is somewhat fuzzy.
"Anyways, Shuren, are you okay?" Cid asked. "Huh. Yeah." Shuren said, completely off-guard.
After Shuren's answer, Cid turned towards his summon. As soon as it saw Cid looking at it. The Elite summon immediately turned his finger towards the dead Goblin Warrior's heart.
"Hmmm... What could be there?"
" How would I know?"
"It's a rhetorical question, smart guy."
"Huff." Cid sighed. "We have to check; there might be something of use there." "I guess the world has changed this much in just a few hours, huh..." Shuren replied.
Cid knelt beside the cold corpse and began digging through it with his bare hands.
Finally, he saw a bright yellow light emitting from near the heart of the Elite Goblin Warrior.
Cid reached into the dead Goblin Warrior's chest.
Cid slowly pulled out two bright objects.
One emitted a bright yellow glow.
The other one glowed red, like fresh blood.
