Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – The Broken Sky

Chapter 1 – The Broken Sky

The sky split that morning—not with thunder, but with a silence heavier than any storm. Clouds swirled unnaturally, black and violet streaked with the failing light of a sun struggling to burn through the chaos.

Below, the streets were chaos incarnate. People fled in panic, their footsteps echoing over cracked concrete as rivers that had once been calm surged through avenues. Fires devoured abandoned buildings, and the wind carried screams and smoke in equal measure.

Amid this turmoil, a figure appeared. Standing atop the jagged remains of a collapsed overpass, he did not run, shout, or fight. He merely observed. A coat brushing against the ruined concrete, his presence was a calm contrast to the madness around him.

A tremor shook the ground, spreading outward like ripples in water. Soldiers raised their rifles, aiming at him, but the bullets never reached their target. Walls shifted, lampposts bent, and debris floated midair, as if reality itself hesitated.

He remained unmoved, silent, watching. The air around him throbbed, not with sound, but with possibility bending under his presence. People screamed. Soldiers staggered. Even minor gods, observing from beyond human sight, paused in astonishment.

From a ruined plaza, a few awakened humans whispered among themselves, fearful and awed. "Do you see that?" one asked. "He… he doesn't even move, yet everything bends."

The wind tore across the city but slowed as it passed near him. Fires faltered mid-flame. Birds vanished without a trace. Even the sun seemed to struggle, its light fractured by the violet storm.

The figure finally took a single step forward. Concrete fragments drifted downward, rivers subtly altered their courses, and the chaos reorganized itself without a hand guiding it. No one knew who he was. No one dared name him. Only whispers spread: the Silent Chaos Sovereign.

He did not act for victory, for war, or for glory. He simply existed, and the world obeyed.

The Broken Sky had arrived, and beneath it, the first step of silent chaos began.
