The Honest Woodcutter
Once upon a time, a poor woodcutter was cutting wood near a river. Suddenly, his iron axe fell into the deep water. He started crying because he had no money to buy a new one. The river goddess appeared and heard his story. She dived and brought a golden axe, but the woodcutter said, "This is not mine." She then brought a silver axe, and he again said, "No, this is not mine." Finally, she brought his iron axe. The woodcutter happily accepted it. The goddess was pleased with his honesty and rewarded
