Chapter 8 - 8.

er 9 — The Park Incident

It had been a week since we got here, and to be honest, the only interesting thing so far was watching Sona, Tsubaki, Rias, and Akeno walk around, flaunting those gorgeous bodies. If I'm not wrong, next Sunday is Issei's date. I should be able to show up… and finally see that Rias Gremory in action.

Should I hide my strength? Nah. If I'm correct, my power is ultimate class—I should be fine.

Sunday came, and I told the group I was heading to the park. They didn't care, glued to the TV, but that's fine. I don't need them to care—I know I'm strong.

Around seven, I arrived. The first thing I saw was Yumma—no, Reynare—about to kill Issei. Perfect timing.

I stepped forward, hand coated with Haki, and stopped her spear in its tracks. Sparks flew where the metal met my reinforced fist. Reynare blinked, clearly surprised.

I smirked. "Well, this should be fun."

Launching forward, I drove a brutal uppercut into her stomach. She staggered backward, winded, eyes wide. I was about to hit her again when a sharp presence reached me.

I glanced back and saw… Rias Gremory, teleporting in mid-fight, crimson aura blazing, her gaze piercing.

Perfect. That's exactly why I came.

I stepped forward again, letting my strength show fully. Each movement precise, overwhelming, leaving Reynare struggling to keep up. She hissed, realizing she had no chance—and finally, with a frustrated roar, she retreated into the shadows, leaving the park quiet again.

I turned to face Rias, smirk still in place. "You're late," I said casually, as if we'd been expecting each other. "Missed the show?"

Rias' eyes narrowed slightly, studying me, curiosity flickering across her face. "Who… are you?" she asked, voice calm but commanding.

"León D Nemea," I replied smoothly, letting my presence fill the space. "And I've been looking forward to meeting you."

Her lips curved slightly, intrigued. "You're… different."

I grinned faintly, a teasing glint in my eyes. "Of course. Not everyone gets the privilege of seeing me fight. Consider yourself lucky."

I watched Rias carefully as Reynare fled into the shadows. Her crimson aura, the way she moved, the power radiating from her… she wasn't human. Of course I knew that. I've seen enough in this world already to recognize strength when I see it.

That's why I stepped in. Not to save Issei—he's not my concern—but to have a reason to talk to her. To see her in action, up close. Everything else was just… scenery.

"You're late," I said again, smirking, letting my gaze run over her carefully. "Missed the show?"

Rias blinked at me, her expression sharp and curious. "Who… are you?"

"León D Nemea," I replied, calm, confident, letting my presence fill the park. "And I've been waiting for an excuse to meet you."

Her eyes narrowed slightly, clearly intrigued and suspicious. "Waiting… for me?"

I chuckled faintly, stepping closer, casual but proud. "Not just you. I knew you weren't human. Figured a little chaos in the park would be a perfect excuse to make your acquaintance."

Her lips curved slightly, a mix of curiosity and cautious amusement. "You're… bold."

"Pride goes hand in hand with strength," I said smoothly, letting the teasing glint show in my eyes. "And I'm not one to waste opportunities. Consider this… my first impression."

Rias studied me silently, obviously assessing just how dangerous—or interesting—I was. I let the pause linger. That's the advantage of knowing exactly who she was. I didn't have to hide anything.

I let her study me for a moment, eyes narrowing slightly, clearly trying to gauge just how much she could trust—or underestimate—me.

I leaned back casually against a nearby tree, smirk tugging at my lips. "You know," I began, voice low and teasing, "we've only just met… but I think this is the perfect chance to get to know each other better."

Rias tilted her head, a faint smile appearing as she raised an eyebrow. "And how do you suggest we do that?"

I chuckled softly, eyes glinting with mischief. "Simple. A date. You, me… somewhere away from all this chaos. I promise I won't hold back this time."

Her lips curved into a small, amused smile, though her eyes remained sharp. "A bold proposition, considering we've just met."

"And boldness comes naturally to me," I said smoothly, shrugging. "Think of it as… an opportunity. You get to see what I'm really like, and I get a reason to keep following you around."

She studied me silently for a few seconds, then finally nodded, her crimson hair brushing over her shoulders. "Very well. We'll see how this goes… León D Nemea."

I smirked, straightening up, chest proud. "Good. I'll make sure you won't regret it."

As Rias turned to leave, I watched her go, satisfaction curling in my chest. Mission accomplished. I hadn't saved anyone out of heroism—far from it—but I had everything I wanted: a reason to meet Rias Gremory, and now… a reason to see her again.
