This is a bonafide story that tells about a 12 year old girl, Minutes, whose intense desire was to be a singer. Her heart was so soft that she cried even on small things. People often asked her why she was so quiet? She was good in studies. She had three elder sisters, two younger sisters and a brother.
One must be thinking, "Wow! What a family. She must be living with all joy and happiness." But ,no, this was the most poignant thing of her life. Her father was a drunkard who sometimes fought with her mother. She remembered all the worst days of her life that she cod never forget.
One of her elder sisters, Vishal, tried to shoe that she cared for her a lot. But inside, she was just like an enemy. At times, she even slapped and beat her. Cinu never told anyone that her sister always tried to hurt her. The most shocking thing was that all the members of this family were mean and selfish except for Cinu.
One day, her younger sister, Bhivika fought with her. She said angrily, "Don't talk to me now!". Cinu did not say anything but stopped talking to her. The next day, Bhivika went to her elder sister, Ansu, and with a sad face said, "Didi, Cinu is not talking to me." Ansu asked Cinu, "Why aren't you talking to Bhivika? After a year, when she felt alone in life, she fell in love with a boy who had a fair complexion and was five years older than her. They loved each other. They used to meet secretly early in the mornings. Her family came to know about them except for her father who was very strict. Her mother told her maternal uncle and asked what could they do.
He suggested, "Give her poison if sh3 doesn't stop meeting the boy. And don't worry, I'll handle the situation." These words broke Cinu's heart.
But, at the same time, Cinu had a kind sister too. They were very close. She told Cinu, "My dear, our life has been written this way only. I know how you are feeling now. But, it's better to leave him." So, Cinu forced herself and decided to give up her boyfriend until the matter cools down.
After few months, she Began talking to him again and this continued for 3-4 years. Eventually, he left her and she felt extremely cheated.
It took some time for her to realise that life was not so simple as she had thought it to be. At times, she even thought of committing suicide. But, then she decided to go on with her life. To forget her sorrow and disappointment, she took up singing again with keen enthusiasm. She left the house to seek her fortune elsewhere.
Her dedication and passion for singing paid a rich dividend and she became a world famous singer in Mumbai thus proving her family and the world that no one can have unlimited tolerance. There is always a limit yo tolerance.
