Chapter 2 - 2.

Found lying in a bed, a baby could be seen. Though the bed was a bit too large for such a child, it wasn't exactly odd to see him, Gastou there.

Opening his eyes, Gastou was beginning to wake up.

Noticing that the sun was shining through the window, he couldn't help but squint as he tried to not look too much as the shining sun that pierced him awake with both it's visual and warmth.

Truthfully speaking, Gastou had no idea what had happened to him. One day he was struggling at night being killed under the assault of multiple people, and next thing he knows, he finds himself as an infant and waking up to the sun.

If he had to say, this wasn't exactly the most odd thing waking up to, but it was definitely not the situation he expected.

Not sure of what to do, he simply called out in hopes of finding some clues of anyone nearby, to others, that cry was just a simple baby cry.

Soon, footsteps could be heard briskly heading his direction, not knowing what was going on, Gastou can only assume that there was multiple people inside of this house.

As if on cue, a couple could be seen entering, as well as a few house servants.

They were saying something but Gastou had no idea what they were saying. It seemed that he was born into another country of some sort, being a different language from what he had spoken.

At best, Gastou could only cooperate with the people before him and try to make gestures, but the gestures he were making just seemed to be an excited baby, happy to see his parents. And so the communication of both ends had failed him in his attempt to send his message across.

Giving up, Gastou could only relent as he was carried away, not knowing his fate or future that he was given, as a child of this house, and an alien of this world.

*********************************************************************************************************

It's been a few years.

Yes, a few years, Gastou's life has been nothing but being cared for as a baby, and being taken care of.

Truthfully speaking, Gastou had attempted many things since he had entered this new life of his. He crawled, walked, read books, and even tried to talk to the house servants a couple of times.

Throughout all of these actions, he was declared as a prodigy. Not sure how or why such a conclusion came about, he had assumed that everyone in the world was able to do what he had done, let alone at the age of four.

Maybe the circumstances in this place were lenient, or maybe he just didn't quite understand how people in this house thought baby development worked.

Either way, there were quite a few things he had understood.

First, his name was just like his old name, Gastou. Luckily, he didn't need to memorize a new name for himself.

Second, this world, was not his home world. He had ended up in some sort of fantasy trope where things exist but it's not really explained in any of the books he had read.

It seemed that the knowledge in this world was more or less locked up, or people in this world were inferior to his other one, though that was a large doubt in his mind.

Third, his parents are a newly wed couple that had generational wealth but simply chose to not spend luxuriously. Being born with rich parents was a plus for some, but for Gastou, it felt like something that came with troublesome burden.

Coming from a world with technological advances and the internet, where the world's information was connected, being known for having rich parents only placed expectations and false implications that weren't good regardless of how you painted it.

Luckily for him, Gastou's parents weren't overly demanding or excessively strict with him. At most, they only told him to learn general knowledge of the world so he can enter an elementary educational institution.

Of course, this was just elementary school in his language, this world's language had more flair and elegance than his previous one, where they seemed to like adding words to sentences to make them seem educated.

Without beating the bush, this world's language was basically yapping in his old world.

Well, at least Gastou didn't really need to re-learn anything, but just needed to get accustom to the overly redundant way of speaking.

His daily life didn't really consist of anything too important, he'd run around the house, read books, and talk with the people nearby.

No special training, no special family with super powers or any of the such, just a normal family with more money.

And this felt comfortable to him.

Though the new parents were a thing that was hard to adapt to, it wasn't exactly something he couldn't accept. After all, the dead don't have any reason to go back.

Once you've died, you've lost any rights that belong to those who are alive, those who interact with each other, those who are able to linger in the world, he had lost those privileges.

Though he now became alive in another world, nothing to regret about his other life than the fact that he had died young.

He would just simply try to live longer this time around.
