Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Treasure Chest

"Gu Yue Liu Chen."

When Liu Chen heard these four words, his heart rate suddenly quickened; it was finally his turn for Aperture opening! He took a deep breath, composed himself, then responded without hesitation and stepped into the mysterious underground Yuan Spring.

As soon as Liu Chen entered the Yuan Spring, he immediately felt a powerful pressure surge towards him. This pressure felt as if it wanted to crush his body, making it difficult for him to breathe. But he gritted his teeth and pushed forward.

His heart was filled with apprehension and unease, because he did not know if he truly possessed the Aptitude of a Gu Master. If he did not, then all his efforts would be in vain, and he would only become an ordinary, insignificant person.

However, despite his numerous doubts, Liu Chen did not stop. He moved forward with great difficulty, step by step, each step requiring immense effort. And as he advanced, Gu of hope, each emitting a faint glow, flew out from the Moon Orchid Sea, streaked across the night sky like meteors, and gently attached themselves to his body.

"Eleven!" When Liu Chen took his eleventh step, a huge weight in his heart finally lifted. At least, he had proven that he possessed the Aptitude of a Gu Master, and would not be mercilessly abandoned by fate like those without Aptitude.

"Twenty-one!" As he took his twenty-first step, the excitement in his heart grew even stronger. This meant that his path as a Gu Master had taken a solid step, and perhaps more possibilities awaited him in the future.

"Thirty!" Finally, Liu Chen reached the thirtieth step. Just then, the Gu of hope on his body seemed to respond to a certain call, suddenly drilling into his body.

The Gu of hope transformed into a warm current, rapidly drilling three inches below his navel, where his Dantian was located.

At this instant, Liu Chen's mind felt as if it had been struck by a powerful shockwave, emitting a loud "boom."

The warm current formed by the Gu of hope directly burst open, transforming into a light membrane. This light membrane rapidly expanded, forming a circular Aperture.

Within the Aperture, there seemed to be a huge vortex, greedily absorbing the Origin Qi overflowing from the Yuan Spring. These Origin Qi, upon entering the Aperture, rapidly transformed into light green Bronze True Essence, gathering drop by drop to form a verdant True Essence Sea.

This True Essence Sea continuously expanded until it occupied fifty percent of the entire Aperture before it stopped.

"What is that?" Liu Chen's gaze was suddenly drawn, and he focused his eyes, only to see two treasure chests appear out of thin air in his sight! These two treasure chests swayed in the air, as if supported by a mysterious force.

One treasure chest emitted a seven-colored rainbow glow, as brilliant and dazzling as a rainbow, its entirety appearing to be cast from sparkling crystal, not far in front of him; while the other treasure chest emitted a soft white light, appearing to be carved from a single piece of white jade, this treasure chest was at his feet, located within the Yuan Spring.

Liu Chen couldn't help but widen his eyes, looking at the two suddenly appearing treasure chests with a face full of astonishment. He subconsciously reached out his hand, wanting to touch these two mysterious treasure chests to see if they were truly real, or just his own illusion.

The moment his fingertip touched the treasure chest, two electronic synthesized voices, clear and loud, suddenly echoed in his mind:

"Obtained Novice Treasure Chest x1, do you wish to open it?"

"Obtained White Jade Treasure Chest × 1, do you wish to open it?"

This sudden sound startled Liu Chen, but he quickly realized that this must be the legendary Transmigration Golden Finger!

Liu Chen's face immediately showed an expression of wild joy, and his heart was already blooming with happiness.

However, he was not in a hurry to fiddle with the System's abilities, as there were too many people here, and it was certainly not a suitable place for experimentation. He took a deep breath, tried to calm himself down, and then silently chose "No" in his mind, temporarily not opening these two treasure chests.

However, even though the underground cave was dimly lit, his expression did not escape the eyes of the other Gu Masters, which drew a lot of ridicule and sarcasm.

"Look at that kid, he's only C-grade Aptitude, what's there to be so happy about?" Someone said disdainfully.

"Exactly," another person echoed.

"What do you know! B-grade Aptitude is already as rare as a Phoenix feather. I think it's good enough if this kid can be self-sufficient, and maybe he can even achieve Minor Achievement in the future. What's your Aptitude?" Some also expressed a certain degree of recognition for Liu Chen.

As Liu Chen turned to walk back, he was astonished to find that among the clan members on the shore, there were not only the Clan Chief and several Elders, but also several teenagers his age, and they all had an extra treasure chest on them, these treasure chests emitted a silver light, as if cast from silver.

Liu Chen's gaze fell on two of the treasure chests, one belonging to Gu Yue Moyan, and the other to Gu Yue Chishan, the treasure chests on both of them were red, as if cast from crimson iron.

Although he was not clear what exactly these treasure chests contained, he had secretly made up his mind that no matter what, his future would definitely depend on these treasure chests.

After all, with his C-grade Aptitude, without these extra resources and opportunities, he would probably find it difficult to Breakthrough the Third Rank Bottleneck in this lifetime.

"Gu Yue Liu Chen, thirty steps, C-grade Aptitude." As the slightly low and solemn voice of School Elder Gu Yue Zhi sounded, Liu Chen slowly walked back from the center of the lake to the shore, and came to the side of the School Elder.

Liu Chen's steps seemed somewhat relaxed, as if he was satisfied with the result. However, when he walked to the School Elder's side, he casually took a treasure chest from the School Elder's body into his hand.

"Obtained Silver Treasure Chest × 1."

Although this action seemed casual, it did not escape the School Elder's eyes.

However, since the School Elder could not see the treasure chest, he did not have too many doubts about Liu Chen's behavior, he just wrote a "Good" next to Liu Chen's name, and then continued to read out the next person's name.

The treasure chest on the School Elder's body showed a faint silver color, and its entirety appeared to be cast from silver.

Liu Chen returned to the group of successful Aperture-opened young men and women, and did not sit down immediately, but looked around. His gaze swept over everyone, noticing the treasure chests on their bodies. The colors of these treasure chests varied, some were silver, some crimson, and some were light green.

Liu Chen found that most people's treasure chests were silver or crimson, which seemed to be more common colors.
