Chapter 1 - To The New One

The cry of a baby: it is seen as a blessing, a burden, or a responsibility. But in this case, the cry of a baby was a mistake.

Born to the royal family of a distant, prestigious kingdom was a boy so fair he radiated light like the sun. His hair was so white he was thought to be an angel, and his eyes were as bright and colorful as a rainbow. This boy was called Lucien Luka, meaning "Light Has Come."

As the son of House Adrek, Lucien Luka Adrek was riddled with responsibilities from a young age. Immediately after he was born, all who knew of his existence naturally had high expectations. However, not all supported his birth. To some, it was as though he was a mistake-- a blunder committed by the universe itself. The universe was not supposed to permit his birth, and they drew a conclusion: this child must cease to exist.

This is the story of the son of a king, and a rule-breaker who sought to have fun.

Let me introduce you to the Kingdom of Adrek, ruled by King Adrian Adenca Adrek and his wife, Luna Solaris Adrek. The Kingdom of Adrek is known for its inventions and technological breakthroughs.

Author Note: The Continent is based in medieval Europe, yet they possessed technology never seen before. End Author Note.

This kingdom was truly one of a kind. In the Continent of Dinatis, there is a specific event at the end of every decade where the kingdoms come together to rank each other based on their achievements. These rankings are taken to the Order which oversees the Continent and screened for authentication before the official rankings are distributed to the people. Adrek has ranked first for one hundred decades, remaining undisputed for a thousand years now.

With all this in mind, imagine if a tragedy were to occur. Truly, the entire continent would be thrown into chaos.

It was a sunny day. Lucien was walking down a hallway, the sound of his footsteps echoing loudly because of the awkward silence. The hallway belonged to an academy: Brownton Academy. Immediately after he stepped into class, the entire room filled with silence.

"My first day at school... an awkward silence," Lucien thought to himself.

But then, the entire classroom erupted in murmurs. And who was the subject? Lucien Luka Adrek, the Prince.

Under normal circumstances, an eight-year-old would be nervous and incredibly anxious. But "normal circumstances"? Lucien has never been a "normal circumstance."

The silence returned like a wave in the middle of the sea, sweeping the entire room. The cause?

"What the hell is wrong with him?" a boy in the back of the class said.

All eyes turned to him as if trying to shut him up-- because Lucien was, after all, the Prince. "Why ask that question?" is what you're thinking.

Well, the expression on Lucien's face wasn't one of anxiety, but of pure, unfiltered joy. He wore a smile so wide it made him look beautiful... This kid was crazy.

And he sensed chaos. How was there chaos? Well, he didn't smile because of what the kids in the class said. No, no. He smiled because he had seen chaos find its way-- or rather, should I say, FREEDOM.
