Chapter 1: The New Room
Rohan and his family moved into a new apartment in the city. The house was big and beautiful. Rohan was very happy because he got his own room for the first time.
His room had a large window, blue walls, and a brand-new air conditioner. His father said, "This AC is very powerful. It will keep your room cool even in the hottest summer."
That night, Rohan turned on the AC. Cold air filled the room. At first, everything was normal.
But around midnight, Rohan woke up.
He heard a soft whisper.
"Rohan…"
He sat up quickly. The room was dark and cold. The whisper seemed to come from the AC.
He thought it was just his imagination and went back to sleep.
But the whisper came again.
"Rohan… look at me…"
