Hello, to anyone still expecting a chapter on this here budding story.
First things first, the story ain't dead. That's a fact. Thing is, I finally got a job, at last...
Not the job I was interviewing for that I mentioned in the earlier chap, but a job nonetheless. And it pays well, but since it's customer service one might even say it's hazard pay... IYKYK.
Anyway, that being said and because everything moved so fast, as in I got a lighting quick interview over the phone followed by sending the required docs followed by a video call followed by signing the contract digitally, all in the span of twenty fucking minutes on a Friday because I'd start the next Monday, I've been running all over the place trying to get my shit together and making sure I don't get axed by the bank because, and this might come as a surprise, without a job you can't pay shit like mortgage or credit cards and the bank can only wait for so long before they take action, I didn't have the energy to finish my incomplete chapter.
But fear not, my unexpected hiatus gave me time to reconsider how I want to approach the story and the direction I want it to take beyond "another Isekai/reincarnated MC" so I'm positively overflowing with ideas. And also have a rough draft of a plotline instead of throwing random shit together and see what sticks.
If the world doesn't end, I should be posting the next chapter either Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.
Sorry for those that were kept waiting for over a month, sadly life waits for no one, but we're not quitting this project any time soon.
