The helicopter took Blake, Quinlan and Valentine to the hospital to be admitted.
The family members were in a hall. The watched Vladimir making different calls and Valentine was also present connected to an IV while giving instruction through a walkie-talkie.
"Just start we're listening." Vladimir sighed pinching his brow "Gabriel really screwed us over."
Humphrey asked, "Can you tell us what's going on?"
"Val, try." Vladimir said with slight smile
Valentine frowned, "Why me? I'm on an IV, hiding from my nurse to slip in to do work and help you."
Vladimir answered honestly, "You're already at the bottom, condition wise. How could you get any worse?"
"And they say he's my brother." The younger teen sighed
Valentine opened his mouth to say something, his throat closed up and coughed up blood. He rushed to one of his bags of health potions and drunk it quickly.
Vladimir sighed, "That's a no, I suppose"
Everyone's eyes widen in shock and the visual of what happens when they try to reveal whatever secrets their hiding.
Elsbeth frowned, "We didn't need a demonstration."
"Anyway, we need to move to Starside City and meet up with Stephan. Then head over to Skull Island." Valentine shrugged
Jerome spoke, "Should we request for all family members to return, better safe than sorry."
Vladimir nodded that it was a good idea.
Elsbeth asked in a worried tone, "Does this include those without the Nox surname?"
"Sure, why not." the brothers answered
She was surprised by their reaction since relatives without the Nox surname were usually treated worse since they believed they were weaklings or cowards who couldn't drip their fingers in the family business.
Leo asked, "What exactly in the second Skull Island?"
"Ah? There are four island which look like a skull when scene on a aerial view. Each Island is used for various reasons: The first one is where we house some of our animals, the second one that is in trouble has the herbs I used and my roses, third one has Vlad's minerals and metals while the last one is filled with Vlad's elemental spirits." he informed
Jerome nodded in understanding, "Things are going to be hectic. Are you going to be okay?"
"No." Valentine sighed "We suffered a huge blow giving up the second Skull, I haven't felt so bad in ages and this is where it gets worse."
Vladimir agreed, "We just need to survive somehow and stay afloat."
"From what I understand, something similar to the descent of rifts is going to occur. I know a bit about King class that the government was researching about since their use is unknown and only start appear in the last decade. Unlike normal class that are rare and boost tremendously. King class had to complete are test to prove their qualification yet had zero boosts except suppressing weaker people." Humphrey spoke
The brothers remained silent and showed to sign of saying anything related to the subject.
Humphrey added, "The survival rate for the qualification test is 83 percent yet I saw so many today. Makes you wonder. Is there something more to the class we just haven't figured out?"
"I hate smart people." Valentine told him honestly
Vladimir disagreed, "Smart people are quite good."
Elsbeth cursed which attracted everyone attention.
"What's up?" Leo asked
Elsbeth told, "My kids have parent-teacher day but I have some work assigned to me and my husband will be stuck in a meeting. He tried to ask for a way around it but his boss said it was impossible if he didn't want any risk to his chance of promotion."
"I can go." Vladimir offered
They say when you here something shocking too suddenly your brain stops working for a moment. The room was in utter silence and Vladimir let them properly dissect what he just said. Valentine hid under the table as the door opened revealing a woman in blue scrubs
She asked, "Have you scene Head Valentine."
"No." Vladimir said with a calm tone
She left the door and Vladimir pushed down his brother who was about to rise. The nurse hid by the door persistently looking in after a while she finally went away and Valentine threw himself onto his chair.
"She's a menace." he grumbled
Elsbeth spoke, "What about everything that going on?! Aren't we in a terrible time right now?!"
"We are." Vladimir agreed "But I can work anywhere since I'm technically all your Bosses. I don't mind at all so its settled then. I'll need to start packing."
Elsbeth was baffled but grateful, she was about to request to have her work pulled back but from some reason she trust Vladimir. She wanted her family to get closer to the Nox side so wasn't this the perfect opportunity!
Vladimir stood up gathered his things and exited the room. Valentine said that they'll continue the meeting without him.
"We'll take about the resources Stephan offered to give, could offer and cross-examine what we actually need." Valentine began
Kilian nodded, "Let's add in some items we'll slipped into our pockets as well."
"I like that idea. Also I brief you on the monsters we'll fight, the environment pf the second Skull Island and brain storm a rapid recovery plan for all the possible losses will back after both. As well as start a mass capture of territories with the timeline forcefully cut in half as another penalty action." Valentine continued
Jerome spoke to his secretary, "We'll be here for a long time. Inform the kitchen to prepare snacks and we'll be having dinner in the meeting hall."
Valentine looked at the papers in front of him each packed with written and sighed, "If we pull this off we'll be able to manage when it all hits the fan so hang in there for a little longer."
Everyone nodded firmly and the returned to active discussion that may determine the fate of the entire family. They didn't notice the time go by and Vladimir was waken up by Dmitri. He was in the city where Elsbeth family lived and children schooled
He walked toward a kindergarten in his most presentable black suit with a white trench coat paired with a white tie.
"Don't you think you're overdressed?" Donovan asked
Vladimir responded, "Who knows but first impression toward the teacher are important. Some more reluctant teachers may be inclined to help Elsbeth child in sticky moments because they remember who I am."
He arrived and walked toward a small bot with black hair and gray eyes. He held the scent similar to Elsbeth but he didn't have one of someone who's been to the main house in a long time. It prickled Vladimir a bit.
"Good thing he'll be returning to Nightfall soon." He thought considering making a play room "We'll need to see if we can return him to where he belongs on the Nox family registry."
"Elliot?" Dmitri called
The boy looked looked up at him with bright eyes while parents nearby pulled their children away in fear. Several police cars rolled in and a woman held a megaphone.
She shouted, "Release the child, Vladimir Nox!!"
Silence followed waiting for his response while Vladimir looked at Elliot about to say something when the child flung himself into his embrace.
"GRANDPA!!" Elliot's voice echoed
Vladimir caught him and held the child carefully with a look of satisfaction and pride.
Vladimir smirked slightly, "Now what officer? Permission to enter for parent-teacher conference, Ma'am?"
