It was 2:00 AM. The city streets were silent and empty. A cold wind moved slowly through the trees, making the night feel even darker.
Ali stood beside the window of his small room, staring at the old diary in his hands. He had found it earlier that day in his grandfather's abandoned house. The diary looked ancient, its pages yellow and fragile.
With a deep breath, he opened the first page.
Written in shaky handwriting were the words:
"If you are reading this, the truth is closer than you think. But be careful… someone is watching you."
Ali felt a chill run down his spine.
"Watching me?" he whispered to himself.
Suddenly, the lights in his room flickered.
Ali quickly looked around. Everything seemed normal, but the feeling of being watched did not disappear. His heart started beating faster.
He turned the page of the diary.
On the next page there was only one sentence:
"The key is hidden where the shadows never leave."
Before Ali could think about what it meant, he heard a soft knock on the door.
Knock… Knock…
Ali froze.
It was 2 AM. Nobody should be at his door.
The knocking came again.
Slowly… he walked toward the door.
His hand reached the handle.
For a moment he hesitated… then he opened it.
But when the door creaked open…
No one was there.
Only darkness.
And on the floor… there was a small black envelope with his name written on it.
Ali picked it up with shaking hands.
Inside the envelope was a single piece of paper.
It had only three words written on it:
"You found it."
Ali suddenly realized something terrifying.
The diary was not just telling a story…
It was about him.
And whoever wrote it… was still watching.
