As the sun began to set, Alistair listened intently as her mother spoke about Aura Manifestation and the history of the Theory of Aura Manipulation, which originated in the early years of 100. This theory was established by a group of martial artists who sought to transcend human limits and worshipped an unknown goddess they referred to as the Goddess of Martial Arts, the Goddess of Aura, and the Goddess of Honor. These three goddesses of the Two Arbiter Continents of Freedom and Neutrality were not real deities; rather, they were fictional figures. However, the fervent belief of the martial artists and the subsequent spread of their faith across both continents transformed these concepts into real goddesses in the minds of their followers. Over the course of 1,500 years, the number of believers and worshippers grew to an astounding 100 million people.
Mother explained the existence of three Goddesses who manifested in the Two Arbiter Continents of Freedom and Neutrality.
Goddess of Martial Arts: A sovereign deity who oversees discipline, physical mastery, and the perfection of combat techniques. She embodies more than just the concept of violence; her focus is on refinement through struggle. Under her doctrine, combat serves as a crucible that tempers character and reveals truth through movement.
Martial Combat God Sovereign Isidore C. Brightmoor was the leader of the Martial Artist Group that roamed the Two Arbiter Continents of Freedom and Neutrality. He was the only one who sought to break human limits and transcend them into a newfound power capable of transforming the entire continent. Due to his deep belief in and understanding of Martial Arts, he worshipped the Goddess of Martial Arts. Eventually, this goddess manifested as a divine being, spreading her influence across the Two Continents.
Goddess of Aura: The primordial architect of internal energy systems, she governs the metaphysical mechanics of aura, including its flow, density, polarity, resonance, and projection. While others may view it as a mystical force, she defines it through principles and structures.
Martial God Sovereign Edmund V. Ashvale was the founder of the Theory of Aura Manipulation. His teachings and the establishment of Aura Manipulation made it possible for the Goddess of Aura to manifest within the Two Arbiter Continents of Freedom and Neutrality.
Goddess of Honor: The divine arbiter of combat ethics. She governs the sanctity of the duel, ensuring that battle remains a contract of mutual risk and acknowledged stakes.
Martial God of Justice Bramwell H. Kingswell is the sole individual who brought the Goddess of Honor to life in the Two Arbiter Continents of Freedom and Neutrality when the Arbiter Calendar reached the 750th year. Recognizing the unfairness of duels and the dishonor they often brought upon others, he established the Justice System under the divine name of the Goddess of Honor. As a result, duels and the concept of honor began to influence many warriors, encouraging them to fight fairly and equitably. Those who fell in battle did so with honor, embodying courage, bravery, and sacrifice. This movement spread from the year 750 to 1250, during which the Goddess of Honor fully manifested in the Two Continents.
"What an amazing history, Mother. Where did you all learn this?" My curiosity about the history of Aura filled me with excitement as my mother replied, "I visited the Capital of Valor, where I studied when I was your age." Alistair was surprised by his mother's past because she didn't talk about it much. "But Mother, isn't going to the capital expensive? I'm really curious about your past," he said. My mother patted my head and responded, "Sorry, but maybe next time, once you grow up like your older sister, I might tell you more about my past, okay, son?" I nodded as she continued to explain more about the history. Once the sun had set and night had fallen, Alistair's two older sisters returned from their hunt missions.
Alistair's two older sisters rushed into the living room and gave him a huge hug, congratulating their little brother on awakening his Aura Manifestation. "Alistair, you're finally a man now! You can join us in our hunt missions to help increase our village's reputation and merits," said his second older sister, Lyra. The eldest sister, Ismeria, was quieter; she patted Alistair gently with a smile and said in a soft voice, "Congratulations, little brother." Despite her shyness, Ismeria was known in their village as the most ruthless wielder of sword aura manipulation, taking down her enemies without mercy. There is a saying: don't judge a book by its cover.
Mother Astrid prepared a lovely dinner for the family as we celebrated the moment when Alistair finally manifested his Aura Powers. As we sat down to eat, the eldest daughter, Ismeria, explained the power levels within Aura Manipulation.
"Brother Alistair, listen carefully," she began. "Aura Manifestation is the very first level in the field of Aura Manipulation Arts. It determines whether a user can release their aura, and this identification is essential to confirm that it's real and not fake."
Alistair then interrupted his older sister, asking, "Big Sister Ismeria, what happens if someone tries to fake their aura?"
Ismeria replied, "If a user fakes their aura, they will be punished by the Aura Watchers. One of the many Aura Watchers is our village chieftess, Selene Brightlance. They have the ability to see through a user's body to determine whether they truly possess an aura. If someone is caught using a fake aura, they will be punished and exiled to the Island of Banishment, which is where those who commit the crime of faking their aura are sent."
Alistair was shocked and amazed at how strict the rules and laws surrounding Aura Manipulation were.
Ismeria continued the power leveling of Aura Manipulation Arts. "First, there's Aura Manifestation. The second level is known as Aura Materialization, where users develop their unique styles of using their aura, referred to as Aura Colors. There are only four types of Aura Colors: Red for Physical Attacks, Orange for Emotions, Yellow for Willpower, and Green for Healing."
Ismeria demonstrated her Aura Color, which was Red, indicating her focus on Physical Attacks. Meanwhile, Lyra revealed her Aura Color, which was Green, signifying her emphasis on Healing. She added, "Little brother, my style is a bit different. I need to attack my target in order to heal myself. Isn't it nice that I don't always have to stay in the rear? I can fight alongside Big Sis Ismeria."
Alistair felt a surge of excitement as the lessons about Aura came to an end, looking forward to the early training with Village Chieftess Selene the next day.
