Dominic stood there, his eyes cold and dangerous as he watched Leonard and Bianca disappear from sight.
Mila came closer from behind.
"What did you tell him?" she asked. "He looked terrified."
Dominic's expression softened the moment he turned toward her.
"Nothing," he said innocently. "I simply warned him to stay away from you."
He reached out and gently caressed her cheek.
"You are not angry with me, are you?"
Mila laughed softly.
"Why would I be angry with you? You were only protecting me."
A grin spread across Dominic's face.
"Then let's go home."
He leaned closer and whispered against her ear, "I can't wait to make love to my beautiful wife."
Mila's entire body tensed.
Heat rushed to her cheeks.
"Stop it," she whispered, a bashful smile tugging at her lips. "You're injured. How can you even think about that right now?"
Dominic slipped his arm around her waist.
"It's not my fault. When my wife is this tempting, how am I supposed to restrain myself?"
