Chapter 223 - Chapter 223: Vados, Restore His Magic

Hit let out a soft sigh, a trace of helplessness flashing in his dark eyes as he thought to himself. Son Goku is truly wicked. He knows Moro is arrogant and conceited, yet he deliberately brought him before Champa. This was a blatant setup, showing no mercy whatsoever.

Piccolo quietly clenched his fists, his palms slick with sweat.

"Who is he?" Champa turned to ask Cabba.

"Lord Champa, his name is Moro. He was a prisoner in the Galactic Prison, likely an escapee," Cabba explained. "Later, he went to New Namek in Universe 7 to cause trouble... Hit and I were traveling in our spaceship through a wormhole and accidentally crossed into Universe 7, where we ran into him, and then..." Cabba went on to explain the events in detail.

"Since you already know why I'm here, hurry up and gather the seven Super Dragon Balls for me. I, Moro, have a wish to make!" Moro snorted coldly. "If you perform well, I might consider taking you in as my subordinate."

Everyone present wiped their sweat in unison, their movements perfectly synchronized. Moro, oh Moro, you really dare to say anything. You actually want to take Lord Champa as your subordinate? You probably don't even know how you're going to die.

Champa's face turned as black as coal. No mortal had ever dared to speak to him like that. At this moment, Champa felt like swatting Moro to death, but he suddenly felt that destroying him so easily would be too good for him.

"What is your wish?" Champa asked with a smile.

"I'm glad you're sensible. I don't mind telling you," Moro snorted. "I've lived for ten million years, and my lifespan is nearing its limit. My magic is almost depleted. My wish is to restore my magic to its peak. If you help me achieve this, I might consider taking you in as my subordinate."

"Were you just secretly absorbing my energy?" Champa asked with a cold face.

"Oh? Your perception isn't bad," Moro snorted with a laugh.

"Do you want to restore your magic to its peak?" Champa asked again, narrowing his eyes.

"I said, if you help me grant my wish, I'll take you as my subordinate!" A smile appeared on Moro's face.

"Vados, satisfy him!" Champa issued the order to Vados.

"Oh my, Lord Champa, are you really planning to recognize him as your boss and follow him?" Vados chuckled, her tone full of mockery, but a flash of understanding in her eyes showed she clearly understood Champa's intentions.

Champa: "..."

Champa's face instantly turned even blacker, and he glared fiercely at Vados.

"Apologies, apologies, I was just joking. How rude of me." Vados laughed so hard her shoulders shook. Then she composed herself and stepped toward Moro, her staff swaying gently, the crystal ball at the top flickering with a soft white light, as if containing the stars of the entire universe.

Moro was slightly stunned and instinctively took half a step back, staring alertly at Vados. This woman gave him an extremely dangerous feeling. When he had tried to absorb her energy earlier, it was like hitting an insurmountable high wall; not even a trace of magic could penetrate.

"Mr. Moro, since you want to restore your magic to its peak so badly, I'll give you a hand. Consider it a gesture of hospitality," Vados said, stopping three steps away from Moro with a gentle smile. She raised her staff slightly, and the crystal ball emitted an invisible wave of energy that enveloped Moro like a spring rain.

Instantly, a surge of warm Angel power flooded into Moro's body, gentle yet powerful. Wherever it passed, Moro's depleted magic was like a dried-up riverbed being nourished by rain, rapidly regaining vitality. Simultaneously, Moro's aging body began to grow younger under the nourishment of this power. The deep wrinkles on his face vanished at a visible rate, his white hair and beard turned jet black and shiny again, and his hunched back slowly straightened.

Furthermore, the black magic around Moro exploded several times over, reaching an unprecedented peak state, even stronger than the magic of his youth!

Goku and the others stood to the side, silently watching this scene with expressions of surprise. The power of an Angel was truly miraculous, able to reverse time in an instant and restore someone's peak strength. This ability was simply beyond common sense.

"I... my magic has really returned! No, it's stronger than before!" Moro stared blankly at his hands, feeling the surging power within him. His shock gradually turned into ecstasy, and he couldn't help but clench his fists, feeling that familiar yet strange power, his voice trembling with excitement. "You... how did you do it? This power is incredible!"

"Oh my, it's actually quite simple, but explaining it would be a hassle, so I won't say much. Just knowing the result is enough." Vados giggled, deliberately being mysterious, her gaze full of playfulness.

Moro: "..."

Moro's face instantly darkened, his mouth twitching. This is even worse than just saying 'I won't tell you.' It's deliberately teasing!

"Not bad, not bad. You're quite sensible, knowing to help me restore my magic." Moro quickly suppressed his dissatisfaction, a cocky smile reappearing on his face as he spoke to Vados. "Since you're so well-behaved, I've decided to take you as my little sister. Follow me from now on, and I guarantee you'll live the high life. It's much better than following this fat cat!"

Then, Moro turned to Champa, his chin held even higher, his tone more arrogant: "And you, fat cat, you're my subordinate now. Be a good boy and listen to me from now on. No more being lazy, do you hear? If you dare to be disobedient, I'll throw you into the depths of the universe to feed the monsters!"

Slap!

Champa could no longer endure Moro's arrogance. His figure flashed like a ghost, his movements too fast for anyone to see. Only a crisp slapping sound was heard as Moro, like a sandbag hit by a heavy hammer, flew out like a kite with a broken string. He slid dozens of meters across the smooth marble floor before finally stopping, spitting out a large mouthful of blood. Several teeth mixed with blood fell to the ground, and a clear, swollen handprint appeared on his face.

Champa walked leisurely toward Moro, raised a plump paw, and stepped on Moro's head, his tone as cold as ice: "Now, do you still want to take me as your subordinate? I'd like to hear how you plan to throw me into the depths of the universe to feed the monsters."

Moro was pinned to the ground, a sharp pain in his head, his vision turning black. He was completely stunned. How can this round, fat cat be so strong? I've clearly restored my peak magic, even stronger than my peak, yet I couldn't even see his movements. I don't even have a trace of ability to resist, like an ant being stepped on by an elephant!

"Ah... ah... it hurts! Let go of me! My head is going to shatter! Move your foot!" Moro let out a pig-like shriek, his hands futilely grabbing Champa's ankle, trying to move the paw stepping on his head. However, Champa's foot was like it was welded to his head, motionless.

Cabba winked at Hit, a smile he couldn't suppress on his lips. Just as Cabba had expected, Moro was asking for it. Without them even having to lift a finger, Champa had him completely under control.

Hit silently raised a hand to wipe the cold sweat from his forehead, a trace of relief flashing in his dark eyes as he thought to himself. This Moro truly doesn't know the heights of the heavens or the depths of the earth, actually daring to be so insolent before a God of Destruction.

"I... I wasn't ready just now! Your sneak attack doesn't count!" Moro was unwilling to admit defeat, squeezing out words through his teeth, trying to save some face. "Let go of me, let's have a rematch! This time I'll definitely defeat you!"

"Oh? You weren't ready?" Champa's eyes lit up, a playful smile appearing on his face. He clearly felt this game was getting interesting. He slowly moved his foot from Moro's head, his tone full of mockery. "That's great. I thought it was over, and my anger hasn't subsided yet. Perfect timing to play with you."

Moro struggled to climb up from the ground, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his gaze full of resentment and unwillingness. Magic surged wildly around him again, like rolling dark clouds enveloping his body, looking menacing as if to swallow the entire palace. "Fat cat, I won't show mercy this time! I'll let you know how miserable the consequences of offending me, Moro, are!"

Moro let out a roar and turned into a streak of light, charging toward Champa like an arrow from a bow. His fist condensed all his magic, carrying world-shattering power, aimed straight at Champa's chest. This punch was Moro's strongest attack.

Looking at the charging Moro, Champa didn't even bother to dodge, taking Moro's fist head-on.

"I hit you! Hahaha! It must hurt, right?" Moro laughed maniacally, increasing his energy output as his fists rained down on Champa's body.

Champa simply turned around.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Moro's fists all landed on Champa's back.

"Use some strength!" Champa snorted. "Haven't you eaten?"

Moro trembled with rage, his knuckles turning white, the veins on the back of his hands bulging. His face turned from iron-blue to a deep purple. Moro could never have imagined that after finally restoring his peak magic, he couldn't even put up a decent resistance before Champa. What made Moro even more frustrated was that the phrase "haven't you eaten" hit his sore spot precisely. He couldn't absorb even a trace of energy from these people; it truly was like fighting on an empty stomach.

Moro immediately stopped his attack and kicked off the ground, jumping ten meters back amidst flying debris to pull a safe distance from Champa. His chest heaved violently as he gasped for air, cold sweat sliding down his cheeks and forming a small wet patch on the ground.

"Hahaha! Lord Champa's strength is just too top-tier, Moro can't handle it at all!" Goku stood to the side with his hands on his hips, laughing clearly, looking like he was enjoying the show, his eyes full of excitement.

Piccolo stood to the side, his mouth twitching uncontrollably, his gaze full of understanding. A God of Destruction truly lived up to the name, easily suppressing a peak-restored Moro with just physical strength. This level of power gap was simply not something magic could bridge.

Hit stood silently in place, his hands still in his pockets, a trace of solemnity flashing in his dark pupils. He had long known the power of a God of Destruction. Before Champa, Moro was like an unweaned child.

Cabba smiled so much his eyes narrowed into slits, and he secretly gave Son Goku a thumbs-up. You really know how to pick a place! Bringing Moro to Lord Champa is much easier than us exerting ourselves. You're the truly amazing one!

"Huff... huff... you're right, I... I really haven't eaten!" Moro held his knees, his voice still trembling, forced to follow Champa's lead. After all, he currently had no confidence to argue.

"Oh? So weak because you haven't eaten?" Champa playfully shook his plump paw, his tone full of mockery, but a hint of playfulness in his eyes. "Then I'll be generous today and let you eat your fill!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Champa's figure suddenly vanished, leaving only a faint afterimage. The next second, he appeared directly in front of Moro. Moro's pupils shrank violently, and he instinctively crossed his arms in front of his chest, trying to resist the coming attack. But it was all in vain. Champa reached out a plump paw, grabbed the back of Moro's head, applied a bit of force, and slammed it down hard!

Bang!

A dull impact echoed across the plain. Moro's face slammed heavily into the hard rock ground, which instantly cracked with spiderweb-like patterns, debris falling away. Moro's head was ringing, his vision blurred with flashing stars, and his body swayed, almost falling over.

That wasn't all. Champa didn't let go; he kept pressing Moro's head down and ran forward, dragging it across the ground. Moro's cheek was ground into a bloody mess by the rough surface, his screams echoing across the plains of the God of Destruction's realm. A long trench was carved into the ground, filled with debris and blood.

"Eh? Lord Champa, where are you taking him?" Son Goku stood on his tiptoes and leaned forward, asking curiously.

Goku took off but noticed Vados was still standing there, her slender fingers pinching her nose, her brow furrowed into a tight knot. Even the crystal ball atop her staff seemed to have lost its usual luster.

"Aren't you going to watch?" Goku stopped in mid-air, looking at Vados in confusion. It's one thing not to join the fun, but why pinch your nose? This behavior is too strange.

"I won't be going," Vados shook her head slightly, her tone full of obvious disgust. She deliberately held her breath as she spoke, as if there were something foul in the air.

Goku scratched his head and didn't think much more of it. He fanned the air around him and sped up to catch up. Piccolo, Hit, and Cabba followed closely behind. Their figures carved several fast-moving afterimages across the plains, keeping close behind Champa.

...

Champa dragged Moro for a full ten kilometers before slowly slowing down. Along the way, Moro's screams had faded from shrill to weak. He had even fainted three times, but each time he lost consciousness, he was jolted awake by the friction of the ground and Champa's force. Moro's cheeks were already ground into a bloody mess, and even his beard was covered in dust and debris.

As soon as they arrived at the destination, Goku smelled a pungent stench hitting him. The smell was like rotting swamp mud mixed with fermented fishiness, so strong it was suffocating. Goku quickly covered his nose with both hands, his eyes stinging from the fumes, tears welling up. "It stinks!"

"Yeah... what is this thing? Why does it smell so bad? Could it be dog poop?" Cabba also pinched his nose, his voice as thin as a mosquito's, full of disgust, and he instinctively took a small step back.

Champa's face instantly turned black, as if dyed with ink, and he glared fiercely at Cabba. Does this kid know how to talk? Actually comparing this God of Destruction to dog poop!

Champa let go of Moro's head and beckoned to Cabba with his paw, his tone ice-cold: "You, come here."

"Lord Champa, are you calling me?" Cabba's heart skipped a beat, a bad premonition rising. He pointed to his nose and cautiously flew in front of Champa, his breathing becoming exceptionally careful.

"Take this guy named Moro over there to eat. He must eat his fill, not a single bit left. Do you understand?" Champa pointed to a huge white sandy area ahead, his tone unquestionable, but a flash of cunning in his eyes.

Cabba looked in the direction Champa pointed and was instantly stunned. That white sandy area was as large as the King of Sadala's palace, covered with fine white granules. No matter how you looked at it, it looked like cat litter! Even more ridiculous, the sandy area was surrounded by a ten-meter-high transparent glass wall, with several buzzing exhaust fans installed at the top. The pungent stench was wafting out from the gaps in the exhaust fans.

"Lord Champa... is there really food in there?" Cabba swallowed, his unease growing stronger, as he asked cautiously.

"Of course there is," Champa nodded, his face expressionless, but a malicious smile hidden in his eyes.

Cabba curled his lip, thinking to himself. The God of Destruction's hobbies are too unique, actually making a toilet this big. Can you really eat while using the toilet?

Although full of doubt, Cabba didn't dare disobey Champa's order. He could only steel himself, grab the slumped Moro, and push open the glass door. As soon as he stepped inside, a more intense stench hit him. Cabba felt like his mouth and nose were being covered, almost passing out from the fumes. Tears flowed uncontrollably, and he could barely keep his eyes open.

"Moro, hurry up and find food! Lord Champa said you must eat your fill!" Cabba shouted through his covered nose, his voice muffled. But after a turn inside, he found that besides the white cat litter and some indescribable waste, there was absolutely nothing edible.

Moro was also about to be overcome by the fumes, covering his nose with his sleeve, his eyes red and coughing incessantly. "I won't eat this kind of thing! I absorb energy!"

Cabba had no choice but to go to a window, push open a crack, and stick his head out to shout to Champa outside: "Lord Champa, besides that... that stuff, there's no food in here at all!"

"That stuff isn't edible?" Champa's smile grew even more brilliant, his tone full of mockery. "Have him eat all of it clean. It'll also help me clean the toilet—two birds with one stone."

Cabba instantly froze in place, his mouth hanging open wide enough to fit a fist, his face full of astonishment. Moro clearly heard Champa's words too. He couldn't help but shudder, his face turning deathly pale, his body starting to shake uncontrollably. Make me, Moro, eat that kind of thing? You might as well just kill me!

Whoosh!

Champa pointed a finger at Moro's body from a distance. An invisible wave of energy passed through the transparent glass and quickly covered Moro. Moro suddenly felt his body was firmly fixed in place. Forget resisting; even moving a finger was as hard as climbing to the heavens.

"Cabba, hurry up and make him eat. Remember, it must be eaten clean! No coming out until it's all gone!" Champa snorted, his tone carrying an unquestionable command.

Cabba's mouth twitched, covering his face, feeling like crying but having no tears. He finally realized that when he said "dog poop" earlier, Lord Champa must have heard him! Cats hate dogs most; he had clearly unintentionally offended Lord Champa. This is punishing me!

Cabba slapped himself several times, cursing himself in his heart. My big mouth! Why did I have to mention dog poop! Lord Champa not destroying me on the spot is already giving me a lot of face.

Helplessly, Cabba could only step forward, pressing Moro's head with both hands and slowly pushing it into the cat litter.

...

Son Goku really couldn't stand the pungent stench. He quietly turned around, preparing to sneak away. The smell was just too stinging to the eyes. Even with both hands tightly pinching his nose, he could still smell that nauseating odor. If he stayed any longer, Goku feared he would actually vomit.

Piccolo also followed Goku, backing away quietly, his footsteps as light as a cat's. He clearly couldn't stand the stench either, even holding his breath to minimize inhaling the odor.

Hit stood in place, seeing Goku and Piccolo both leaving quietly, and the thought of retreating also sprouted in his heart. Since you two are leaving, there's no point in me staying. Better sneak away too.

However, just as Hit was about to activate his energy and turn to leave, Champa's voice suddenly came: "Hey, you three, where are you going? Trying to run?"

"Uh... Lord Champa, the smell here is just too stinging. I'll wait for you over there, I won't bother you," Goku pointed to an open area in the distance, his tone full of pleading, hoping Champa would agree.

"No leaving! Did I say you could go?" Champa narrowed his eyes, his gaze turning cold as he watched Goku. A faint aura of Destruction energy even emanated from him, and the surrounding air became thick, as if suppressed by an invisible force.
