Chapter 1 - The Forgotten Echoes

Chapter 1: A Simple Act of Kindness

The narrow alley smelled of damp earth and distant street food. A fifteen-year-old boy walked lazily, a bag of snacks swinging in his hand. The city was alive with the hum of people, yet this alley was eerily quiet. He had always liked this spot—a place where time seemed to slow, where he could enjoy the gentle whispers of the wind without the chaos of the outside world.

A soft whimper caught his attention. He turned to see a stray dog, its fur matted and unkempt, sniffing around for food. Something about its eyes—calm yet piercing—made the boy pause. Without much thought, he reached into his bag and tossed a piece of his snack toward the dog.

"Here, buddy. You look hungry," he said, crouching down and giving the dog a quick pat on the head.

The dog blinked, almost as if surprised. Then, without hesitation, it ate the offering. The boy smiled, oblivious to the fact that this simple gesture would change the course of his life forever.

Little did he know, the dog was no ordinary stray. It was God.

Chapter 2: Unseen Eyes

Across the city, in a place hidden from the eyes of mortals, a meeting was taking place. Hooded figures surrounded a long table, their faces barely visible under dim candlelight. In the center of the table lay an ancient book, its worn pages pulsating with a dark aura.

"There has been a disturbance," one of the figures spoke, his voice heavy with concern. "A boy has unknowingly recreated our sacred sigil."

Silence followed. Then a chuckle.

"Just a coincidence?" another asked.

"We do not believe in coincidences." The leader's fingers drummed against the table. "Investigate him. If he poses a threat... erase him."

The decision was made. Shadows stretched unnaturally across the walls, as if moving on their own. And so, the cult began watching.

Chapter 3: The Observers

Heaven's Angel and Hell's Devil were not meant to work together, yet here they were, both ordered by God Himself to investigate the growing anomaly. The angel, pristine and calm, stood beside the devil, who stretched lazily against a rooftop, watching the mortal world below.

"So, we're watching over a kid? Sounds boring," the devil yawned.

"This isn't just any child," the angel responded. "God gave us no further instructions, only that we must observe and act if necessary."

The devil scoffed. "Act? Against what? Some scribbles on a test paper?"

The angel didn't answer. Instead, they both watched as the boy continued his day, unaware that his every step was being recorded by not just celestial beings—but something much darker.

Chapter 4: The First Ripple

The boy had never been particularly superstitious, but recently, something felt... off. The feeling of being watched, the strange way people seemed to glance at him and look away. Even his friends acted a little distant.

Then, one day, as he walked home from school, he heard hurried footsteps behind him. A man, dressed in plain clothes, brushed past him in an alleyway, eyes darting around in panic.

"Hey, are you—"

The man barely had time to turn before the sound of screeching tires filled the air. A truck came out of nowhere, crashing into the man with bone-shattering force. The boy stumbled back, shock numbing his senses as blood spread across the pavement.

It was an accident. Or at least... it should have been.

Chapter 5: A Mark of Fate

In another place, far from mortal eyes, a council of cult members gathered once again.

"He was one of ours," one of them growled. "An investigator looking into the boy."

"And now he's dead," another responded. "Was it an accident? Or was something else at play?"

The leader remained silent, flipping through the cult's ancient book. On one of the pages, a sigil began to glow—a symbol only the highest members of the cult were meant to see. And yet, a fifteen-year-old child had unknowingly drawn it perfectly.

"We must act before it's too late."

Chapter 6: An Unwanted Power

The angel and devil were not the only ones who sensed something strange about the boy. When they finally approached him, they were stunned to find a faint trace of divine energy lingering around him.

"What… what is this?" the angel whispered. "God's presence... in a mortal?"

The devil burst into laughter. "No way! Did God seriously choose this clueless kid?"

The boy blinked, completely lost. "Huh? What are you guys talking about? And why do you have weird costumes?"

The angel shot the devil a glare. "You talk too much."

"Oh, come on, it's not like he can do anything with that power. It's useless to a human!"

And yet, that 'useless' power would soon become the key to their survival in the final battle against the cult's summoned deity.

Final Chapter: The Unseen Guardian

The battle had been fierce. The cult had sacrificed countless souls to summon their dark king, a towering god-like figure who threatened to consume everything. The angel and devil fought with all they had, but they were losing.

Until the boy, standing in the middle of the battlefield, unknowingly touched them both.

A surge of divine power erupted.

The angel and devil, now overflowing with strength, launched their final attack—one that shattered the false god into oblivion. The battle ended, the cult was no more, and peace returned. But the boy? He never even realized he had been the reason they won.

Years passed. The angel and devil still visited him, disguised as normal humans. They told his son fairy tales—stories of battles, of gods and demons, of a clueless boy who unknowingly changed fate itself.

And as the father walked through a familiar alley, a stray dog followed at his side. He had no idea that God Himself was still watching over him, silently wandering the world, just as He always had.

The End.
