Chapter 14 - The Buster Call Is Still Activated — Leno Makes His Appearance

Robin felt a chill run down her spine under Leno's cold gaze.

But when she heard that he would spare Luffy and the others, she relaxed slightly.

As long as they didn't die… perhaps Leno just wanted to beat Luffy up to vent his anger.

After all, she could understand his issues with Garp.

Kalifa, meanwhile, stood obediently behind Leno.

Even after hearing that Luffy had stormed in, she didn't dare move without Leno's permission, afraid of suffering that humiliating punishment again.

Yet…

For some reason, a faint impulse rose in her heart—

An urge to provoke him again… to make him lay hands on her once more?

The moment that thought surfaced, Kalifa felt deeply ashamed.

How could someone as proud as her have such shameless thoughts?

Not long after,

They stepped outside and saw Luffy and his crew shouting Robin's name.

However, no matter how much Luffy yelled, Robin didn't appear.

The scene grew awkward.

In the end, Spandam stepped forward.

He shouted angrily at the Straw Hats:

"Get lost! Nico Robin has already been sent through the Gates of Justice to Marine Headquarters!"

"You're too late! Since I'm still in a decent mood, get off Enies Lobby right now!"

As he spoke, he kept nervously glancing at Franky on the ground, afraid the man would say something he shouldn't.

In that brief moment of distraction—

The heavily injured Franky gathered his last bit of strength.

Using his signature Coup de Vent, he burst forward and shouted toward the Straw Hats:

"Robin's still on Enies Lobby! She's—"

Before he could finish,

Spandam, furious and panicked, pounced on him.

He slammed a heavy punch into Franky's stomach, cutting him off mid-sentence!

Then came a storm of blows, beating the already gravely wounded Franky until he could no longer utter a single word.

Without cola, Franky was weaker than Spandam.

Now—

The Straw Hats' objective instantly shifted from rescuing Robin to prying Robin's whereabouts out of Franky.

That meant first saving Franky from Spandam.

Since they hadn't received confirmation that Robin was still on Enies Lobby, the World Government's flag still stood intact.

Luffy pointed at Spandam and shouted:

"Sogeking! Shoot through that guy!"

Seeing the sniper aim at him,

Spandam nearly lost his soul in terror.

He immediately grabbed the injured Franky as a hostage and shield, then fled frantically toward the Gates of Justice.

At the same time, he roared at CP9:

"Stop these pirates!"

Meanwhile,

Under Kokoro's control, the Sea Train smashed through the canyon and crashed straight through the wall of the Judicial Tower.

Soon after, as the Straw Hats chased Spandam, they clashed with the CP9 members.

Battle erupted across Enies Lobby.

Leno, accompanied by Domino, Robin, and Kalifa,

stood leisurely on high ground nearby, watching the fight.

His main focus was the intense duel between Luffy and Rob Lucci.

"You're not going down there?" Robin asked, puzzled as she watched the battle below.

"No." Leno shook his head.

Observing their fight up close wasn't a bad idea.

After all, everything he knew came from the original anime.

But this was reality.

There might be differences.

Better to stay cautious.

"Oh, right, Kalifa," Leno suddenly said.

"In a moment, you'll need to show yourself."

"Yes, Master."

Kalifa responded instantly, smoothly and respectfully.

Leno shot Kalifa a slightly surprised look.

"I don't remember conditioning you to be like this… but I like it."

"Master~~" Domino immediately blinked her big eyes and said sweetly, "I can call you that too!"

Leno chuckled and ruffled her hair.

"You don't need to copy her. Call me whatever you like."

It was about time he gave Domino some response. After all, her heart was completely his.

Domino's face lit up with pure joy.

Kalifa, seeing this, didn't feel jealous. She thought her current state was perfect.

If anything… being punished again might be even better.

A strange, tingling warmth crept up her spine.

Robin ignored their banter, her gaze fixed anxiously on the battle below.

"Relax. They won't die," Leno said mockingly.

"Even if the Marines catch them, that rubber idiot will get released for some ridiculous reason."

"After all, his grandfather is a Marine hero."

"In the Navy, everyone's either his uncle, aunt, grandpa, or grandma."

Robin heard the biting sarcasm in his voice and chose not to respond.

In the end, under the Straw Hats' relentless pressure—

Just like in the original timeline, Spandam fumbled in panic and grabbed the wrong Den Den Mushi.

He activated the golden one.

The Buster Call… was triggered.

Leno, who had been monitoring the situation with Observation Haki, finally curved his lips into a smile.

"Alright… the timing's perfect. Time to wrap things up."

He stood.

"Domino," he ordered calmly, "tie those two up. Make it look convincing."

He pointed at Robin and Kalifa.

"I want the Straw Hats and CP9 to know…"

"…that you two were taken by me."

He needed Luffy to grow stronger faster.

Only then would Garp feel the pain sooner.

As for CP9—he simply wanted to keep Blueno dangling.

Who knew? One day he might obtain a power that could extract Devil Fruit abilities.

The Door-Door Fruit…

He liked that one very much.

The moment the signal flare of the Buster Call was fired—

Marine officers and World Government personnel scattered in terror.

No one wanted to stay behind and die.

The Franky Family and the shipwrights also withdrew to avoid dragging the Straw Hats down.

In the blink of an eye,

The massive Enies Lobby was left with only CP9, the Straw Hat Pirates…

…and Leno's hidden group.

As Lucci and Luffy clashed fiercely—blows colliding with thunderous force—

A clear sound of clapping suddenly echoed across the battlefield, cutting through the intensity.

"Not bad, not bad. Quite the show. I've thoroughly enjoyed it."

Accompanied by the teasing voice,

Leno stepped out from the shadows, applauding leisurely.

Both Lucci and Luffy immediately stopped fighting and turned sharply toward the source of the voice.

Their reactions were completely different.

Lucci's face turned grim. His pupils shrank.

"Le—Leno?! What are you doing here?! Weren't you supposed to be locked in Impel Down's Level 6?!"

Luffy, meanwhile, looked utterly confused.

He even picked his nose, tilting his head.

"Leno? Dare (Who's that)? Who are you?"

The next second—

Three figures stepped out behind Leno.

Two of them caused simultaneous shockwaves in both Lucci and Luffy.

"Kalifa?!"

"Robin!!!"

Kalifa and Robin stood behind Leno, bound tightly with ropes, under Domino's supervision.

"Oh dear," Leno said, spreading his hands in mock regret. "Seems you accidentally caught sight of my new crewmates. My apologies."

Anyone could hear the blatant provocation in his tone.

Crewmates?

What kind of crewmates are tied up with ropes?!

Those are clearly hostages!
