The Hope slowly approached the spaceship that had sent the distress signal.
It was a medium-sized cargo vessel covered in impact craters, with sparks flickering across several damaged sections.
It truly looked like a ship that had barely survived a meteor storm.
"They responded to our communication request and agreed to let us approach," Bulma reported.
"Open the main screen," Krillin said.
An octopus-headed alien appeared on the display, wearing a torn captain's uniform and looking extremely grateful.
"Thank you! Kind travelers! Your arrival is a blessing from the Great God of the Universe!"
"No problem. Just helping out," Krillin replied with a smile.
However, his eyes looked like he was watching a bad stage performance.
As the Hope moved within five hundred meters of the cargo ship, everything suddenly changed.
The damaged outer shell peeled away.
The fake impact craters disappeared.
Dozens of laser turrets extended from the hull and locked onto the Hope instantly.
The octopus captain's grateful expression disappeared.
He burst into loud laughter.
"Hahaha! Another group of fools! Hand over everything you have, or we'll blast you into space dust!"
[Ding! Hostile target detected. Side quest triggered: Cleaning Up Trash]
[Objective: Eliminate the space pirate group]
[Reward: Ki density +1%, random skill fragment ×1]
"Oh my. We were tricked," Krillin said calmly.
"Damn it! It's a pirate ship!" Bulma shouted angrily.
Goku immediately stepped forward.
"Are they attacking?"
"No rush," Krillin said while relaxing on the sofa like nothing was happening.
"Let them come. I want to see what kind of equipment space pirates carry these days."
A mechanical arm from the pirate ship extended and grabbed the Hope.
At the same time, their cutting device began slicing open the docking hatch.
"Prepare to board! Capture that blue-haired woman alive!" the octopus captain ordered.
Boom.
The hatch opened.
A group of strange-looking space pirates rushed inside carrying energy weapons.
Then they froze.
Instead of frightened victims, they saw—
A bald man casually eating chips.
A green warrior staring at them coldly.
A black-haired fighter cracking his knuckles excitedly.
And two children standing at the front.
Trunks crossed his arms and looked at them like they were idiots.
Gohan peeked from behind him curiously.
"Boss... something feels wrong," one pirate whispered.
"What's wrong about it? They're just humans and kids! Take those two brats down first!" the captain shouted.
"Hey, Gohan," Trunks said as he cracked his neck.
"Dad said these guys are toys delivered to our door. Half each. No cheating."
"Okay!" Gohan replied seriously.
A Minotaur-like pirate swung a massive energy axe at Trunks.
Krillin didn't even stop eating.
"Trunks, step left, duck, then uppercut."
Trunks disappeared instantly.
The axe hit nothing.
His fist struck the Minotaur's chin.
Bang.
The giant pirate flew into the ceiling and lost consciousness.
"Gohan, the one with the laser gun. Use the Afterimage Technique and get behind him."
Gohan split into multiple afterimages.
Before the pirate could react, Gohan appeared behind him and struck his neck.
He collapsed immediately.
What followed looked less like a battle and more like a training exercise directed by Krillin.
"Nice roundhouse kick, Trunks! Send him flying!"
"Gohan, don't just dodge. Use Ki Blasts like Piccolo taught you!"
"Trunks, the slug-looking one. Use Dodon Ray. Aim lower."
Energy blasts filled the hall.
Pirates screamed everywhere.
Not a single attack damaged the ship's equipment.
Goku and Piccolo stood watching in silence.
They had no chance to join the fight.
Within five minutes, every pirate inside the ship was unconscious or unable to move.
Inside the pirate command room—
The octopus captain trembled while watching the surveillance screen.
"Monsters... those kids are monsters!"
He tried to activate escape mode.
Too late.
Krillin appeared behind him silently.
"Hello, Captain."
"How did you get here?!"
The captain sprayed ink in panic.
Krillin ignored him and walked toward the console.
He studied a flashing button labeled STEALTH MODE.
"Optical camouflage? Or curvature-based stealth technology? Interesting."
He lifted the captain easily by the collar.
"Tell me where you got this technology."
Half an hour later—
Inside the Hope's main hall—
Bulma happily dismantled the pirate ship's stealth device with several small engineering robots assisting her.
"This is amazing! It's phase-deflection optical camouflage!"
"It hides visual detection and most energy scanning signals too!"
"Give me some time and I can install it onto the Hope!"
Krillin leaned back on the sofa and checked the System panel.
[Side quest: Cleaning Up Trash — Completed]
[Evaluation: S]
[Reward: Ki density +1%, skill fragment "Absolute Domain" ×1]
A warm surge flowed through his body.
His energy became noticeably denser.
[Name: Krillin]

Krillin smiled slightly.
His base combat power had passed twenty-five thousand already.
This trip was turning out very profitable.
One day later, Bulma successfully installed the stealth system.
With a press of a button, the Hope vanished completely from sight.
"Done! Now we can approach Planet Namek without being detected by the Frieza Force!"
The ship continued forward in stealth mode.
Five more days passed.
"Captain, we are approaching our destination," the AI assistant reported.
Krillin left the gravity chamber and gathered everyone near the observation window.
Ahead of them floated a beautiful green planet surrounded by three suns.
Planet Namek.
Piccolo stared at it silently.
It was the home he had never seen.
Then everyone noticed something else.
A massive disk-shaped spaceship floated in orbit above the planet like a predator watching its prey.
"That's Frieza's ship," Goku said quietly.
They had arrived.
But they were already too late.
