The air on the battlefield was still thick with the bloody scent left behind after Nappa's destruction.
The smell acted like adrenaline, sharpening everyone's nerves.
Krillin hid behind a rock while wiping chocolate stains from Trunks' mouth and opening the System panel to check Goku's current data.
[Target: Goku]
[Race: Saiyan]
[Base combat power: 8,000]
[Skills: Kaioken (current mastery limit 4x), Spirit Bomb, Kamehameha]
[Status: High battle intent, excitement MAX]
"Eight thousand against eighteen thousand. Without Kaioken, Goku would be completely dominated in his base form."
Krillin spat out a sunflower seed shell and calculated quietly.
"But that's the charm of Dragon Ball. Without fighting back from disadvantage, where's the passion?"
In the center of the battlefield, Vegeta clearly did not take Goku seriously.
He floated in the air with his arms crossed, staring at Goku like he was looking at an insect that did not understand death.
"A low-class warrior should act like a low-class warrior. Kakarot, don't think you can stand on the same level as me. I could crush you with one finger."
Vegeta's voice was cold and arrogant.
Goku said nothing. He lowered his stance and focused completely on Vegeta's movements.
"Since you won't attack, I'll send you to Hell myself!"
Before his words even finished, Vegeta vanished.
He was incredibly fast.
Other than Krillin, only Piccolo, who had completed special training in the afterlife, could barely follow his movement.
In the next instant, Vegeta appeared above Goku and smashed both fists downward like a hammer.
Boom!
Goku reacted instantly and raised both arms to block.
The ground beneath his feet shattered as his legs sank deep into the rock.
"Oh? You actually blocked it?" Vegeta looked surprised for a moment, then launched another attack like a storm.
Punches.
Kicks.
Knees.
Elbows.
Every move was precise and deadly.
Each strike tore through the air with incredible speed, leaving afterimages everywhere.
At first, Goku barely managed to keep up, but as Vegeta's speed increased, he gradually fell behind.
Bang!
A heavy kick struck Goku's abdomen.
He groaned and flew backward like a cannonball, crashing through three stone mountains before being buried under rubble.
"Hmph. Pathetic," Vegeta floated in the air and brushed dust from his hands.
"This is the strength you wanted to test? Disappointing."
Behind the distant rocks, Trunks grabbed Krillin's sleeve nervously.
"Dad, Uncle Goku can't beat that weird uncle with the high hairline! Should we help?"
"What's the rush? Your Uncle Goku is just warming up."
Sure enough, the rubble exploded apart.
Goku jumped out looking slightly messy, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and smiled even more excitedly.
"Incredible! Truly incredible! As expected of Vegeta. I'm definitely no match for this speed and power in my base form."
He stretched his neck, producing several crisp cracking sounds.
"In that case, I can't keep holding back."
Goku took a deep breath and bent his knees slightly as every muscle in his body tightened.
His energy began circulating rapidly according to a special method he learned after intense training with King Kai.
"Kaioken!"
Boom!
His white aura instantly turned bright red.
A layer of red energy flames surrounded his body, created by the intense strain of the technique.
His combat power surged instantly.
[System Monitoring: Goku's combat power has risen to 16,000]
"What?!" Vegeta's expression finally changed.
He could clearly feel that Goku, who had just been suppressed moments ago, was now releasing an aura strong enough to threaten him.
"What kind of technique is that? His energy turned red, and his combat power increased so much in an instant?"
Before Vegeta could understand what happened, Goku vanished.
This time, Vegeta could not see clearly.
"Over here!" Goku's voice sounded from behind him.
Vegeta turned instantly but was already too late.
Bang!
A punch surrounded by red aura struck his cheek directly.
Vegeta flew sideways through the air, spinning several times before stabilizing himself.
He touched his swollen cheek as anger exploded in his eyes.
"You low-class warrior! How dare you hit me?!"
"Hehe, I'm not finished yet!" Goku pressed forward again.
The two began fighting fiercely in the sky.
Red and golden auras clashed repeatedly, and every collision created powerful sonic booms.
The sky flickered between light and shadow while the earth shook continuously.
Piccolo and the others stared in shock.
"Is this really Goku's strength now?" Yamcha said quietly.
"That red energy is Kaioken. It feels like he's burning his life force to increase his power."
"Exactly," Piccolo said seriously. "Kaioken puts tremendous strain on the body. Goku can't maintain it for long. He has to finish this quickly."
High above them, Vegeta grew more shocked and more furious as the battle continued.
He could not accept this.
He was the Prince of all Saiyans.
A genius warrior with elite blood.
While Kakarot had been born with a combat power of only 2.
Why? Why could this low-class warrior keep up with his speed?
Why were his punches so heavy?
"I won't accept this! I absolutely won't accept this!" Vegeta roared as his energy exploded to its maximum.
"I am the strongest Saiyan warrior in the universe! I cannot lose to someone like you!"
Boom!
Vegeta released his full strength.
His combat power reached 18,000.
Now every strike targeted Goku's vital points.
Goku immediately felt the pressure increase.
Even Kaioken x2 was no longer enough, and the strain on his body became obvious.
"No choice..." Goku gritted his teeth as veins bulged on his forehead.
"I have to risk it. My body has to hold on!"
"Three-fold Kaioken!"
A massive red aura erupted into the sky like a volcano, staining the surrounding clouds red.
Goku's body expanded slightly, his skin flushed bright red, and his eyes burned with intense energy.
Combat power: 24,000.
He had completely surpassed Vegeta.
"What?!"
For the first time, fear appeared in Vegeta's eyes.
"His combat power is still increasing?! That's impossible! How can his body handle that much energy?!"
"Take this, Vegeta!" Goku roared as he charged forward.
