Chapter 1 – Not the End, A Beginning
It was 1 a.m.
Maya sat quietly, staring at her phone. One short message on the screen:
"Our relationship ends here… Take care."
Seconds passed. Then minutes.
Maya couldn't understand how her whole world broke so suddenly.
For him, she had changed her dreams.
For him, she had ignored her own wishes.
And today, he said,
"You are not my future."
Tears rolled down her cheeks.
But something hurt even more—her family's words.
A few days ago, her father said,
"You want to study abroad? Girls don't need to go that far."
Her mother said,
"Keep your dreams small. Life will be easier."
Maya said nothing that day.
But tonight, heartbreak and family pressure crushed her together.
She stood in front of the mirror.
Red eyes. Messy hair. A tired face.
She whispered to herself,
"Am I really this weak?"
