Chapter 6 - 3. The Creepy Lie

Something helplessly crawls on his mind. He slowly & suspiciously gets out of bed. Beverly looks curiously and asks "What happened?" He grins at her and says stammeringly, "I don't think we have to do this. It's just that. I don't feel right. Are you experiencing any that way?'

Beverly widens her sharp eyebrows turning on him and asks bewildered,

"And, how do you know that? Are you a psychic? I mean there's nothing wrong in it - it's ... you could've told."

'What! No. Why? I'm not.'

'Because I had the totally same thing in mind.'

'This is wrong what we're doin'. It's just that... I feel different suddenly abouft my personality. This isn't who I am most often. This is like being a lusty charmer through the days."

Beverly feels thunderstruck after hearing him. It was like two minds blown in a parallel direction.

"Duke, I am here to solve. I care about your problems so I want you to know what's with these guys. I care about you one way or other," Beverly speaks in a deeply reliable voice that sounded trustworthy.

"Thank you," Duke says in a slow voice. Beverly holds his hand hard. She wanted him to believe she was here instead his hand feels weighed down.

Duke jumps on the bed and throws his shoes on the floor deliberately; he frees his pants on the bed and kicks them on the floor. Beverly humps on him like a lion capturing his prey and kisses his forehead consistently. Duke believed Beverly being as a skinny and underweight girl due to which his knees might start aching in a half second but it didn't.

She begins to remove her dress when a silver dazzling light slowly flashes in front of 'em beside the door. She looks at his grunting face. He can never catch a break, deeply thinking of someone ruining their precious moment by stepping into another someone's world without his control. The dazzling light goes away showing it's own precious symbols with fancy numbers dancing like it's a wiggling night eventually.

Their curious and anxious eyes try to seek if something's not right. The bedroom door opens up, two men come inside the bedroom. They looked like Ginell and the Lieutenant with their pink skin and dark extremities. But could be pink imposters with an unfamiliar dots on their heads and shimmering toenails.

"Oh my God, how did you come inside, and what's with this light & that weird pinkish skin?" Duke asks in a dreadful yet pretending to be confident voice while he jumps on his pants to wear them. His subconcern were that these moments sweat and you get washed up through the head, but Duke's mind was blown away to realize that his sweat was not up at all, and he never noticed since he moved on into his new apartment leaving his lovely mother alone. Anxiousness, stress, worry were to be felt but it was too late and they were dead until then his concerns which were somehow alive. Their skin had a sense of reckless nonchalance.

He slowly slides to his ice brown compactee, observing fixedly on both slowly walking & coming near Beverly so frighteningly attached to the adjacent wall like a possum. He opens it and puts his hands inside while seeing the men with a suspicious look. He feels terrified, & pushes his hand inside the cupboard to struggle for a weapon or gun or something damaging. A dozen questions probably were roaming around like a swirling vortex through his brain.

How his friends came inside the house?

Why does he still feel that they are his friends although they winked at Beverly?

Why does he feel that they did the right thing?

What's with their changed appearance?

"It was just magic, a little dust off," Ginell says smiling.

"Magic, huh. What's this witchcraft in the middle of the night! Huh? Let me just-"

"A... shorty, please allow me, will you? As I am to be expected as mighty in just my own speechy." Duke senses a sharp item in the cupboard. Takes it out. It was a long sky-blue knife.

"OH! That's a knife or what!"

"The bigger question is, what's a knife doing in your clothes."

"Be cool Dukey, I know something is troubling you, but we want you to know the truth. So slowly ... steadily ... keep rid of that." He made a few hand signs, with his veins drawing up turning blue and excreting a liquid through his arm's pinpoint. The liquid slowly thinned up and abated. Tiny and can't be percieved.

"YOU WINKED AT MY GIRLFRIEND!" Duke yells at them and makes aim to throw knife which maybe was required.

"I know what we did and there is a D-day coming and I WANT YOU TO GIVE IT YOUR RIDICULOUS LITTLE THOUGHT!"

Duke somehow knew that yell. His father, few years ago. But how could Ginell...

'D-day? What D-day?' Duke asks quickly.

'Death day of everyone,' Ginell replies bizarrely.

'What's wrong with you?' Duke's looks at him weirdly.

'How can I believe you? How can I believe anything you spit from your mouth after the way you behaved? Probably you're tricking me into some weird night?'

'First, let us find your dad,' Ginell says and starts looking here and there.

'This is not a murder mystery party! MY DAD's DEAD SINCE CHILDHOOD. They roam through and enter the hallway to search.

'Get out of my house, now! Excuse me, My dad's dead.

'Why do you need him?'

'Long story. Please let us find him, he is dead but not his dorse soul.'

'What? How do you know his soul is here?'

Duke felt like a lunatic after asking that question.

Duke sighs and feels very unusual to see his friends which looked different from every side. '

'Who finds the souls of people in the middle of night?' He felt they were raised in a mental asylum where someone might help them in astral travel. Ginell begins holding every object he sees for five seconds and keeps them back in place. Duke comes out hurriedly.

'We'll tell you everything you want Duke, but please let us find him first, huh?' Lieutenant says in a satisfactory voice. They feel disappointed after holding every single object.

'I believe there is no such object with the morse on the lower deck, gonna check the upper deck,' Ginell says to the Lieutenant.

'Ok cadet, let's go up.' The Lieutenant shows him the storeroom on the first floor.

"Oh, this place is terrible. Filled with dirt particles.... things are dirty than I believed. I feel it's like a suffocating leaky gutter." The Lieutenant runs downstairs with Ginell and gets him to green masks to the room. It was an exceptionally dark room except for a single shine hidden beside the tapestry. The place felt suffocating. It was filled with scrapped metal and looked like a dark junkyard. The shine coming from a surface hanging on the wall adjacent to the door attracts them. The tapestry suddenly moved.

'What's that?' Ginell asks.

'Nothing. Just a clean mirror." Duke says in a faltering voice.

'Jus' a clean mirr' huh? Why is it the only one clean? I mean all other things are pathetic,' Ginell asks eying Duke suspiciously.

'I like glass.'

'Really?'

'Ok. You two. For the last time. Get out!'

'I feel something fishy now.'

'I want you guys to tell me the reason. right now.'

Duke hurriedly pushes Ginell aside and comes in front of the fallen tapestry.

"Duke, MOVE AWAY FROM THE MIRROR, NOW!" Ginell yells loudly.

"No. I won't," Duke says folding his arms.

'Why are you caring for it so much?' The Lieutenant asked him with a strange face.

They push Duke aside & come in front of the surface and take off the fallen tapestry. The mirror was covered with a long microfiber cloth. They pull it and give shine more than ever.

A voice from the edges says, "It's late, what the-"

"What are you guys doing here? the voice says is not at all astonished.

"Wha-, You know them?

"No, I mean who – wh - are these people?" the voice replies in a sarcastic tone.

"I can't believe you are lying to me. What about the Mirrorium? Framistry Primes? That was a lie?"

"Yes. I know it will be very hurting and boom. I'll tell you the truth or I can also show you. I'm the mirror with the existence of your father's soul or your father's soul residing in me."

Tears filled Duke's eyes, though the tear movement was made up or maybe it looked modified or naked creation. It puzzled him as if the mirror was not created or made. It maybe expected that 'his father' was reborn as a mirror.

"Son. I am sorry for leaving you, your brothers, and Amelia. Just hate & curse myself for that every single day."

"Father, can you please tell me what is happening?"

"I'll straight away show you. As my memory is still sharp as a knife."

The mirror elongates its dimensions. It pushes with loud cracks moving forward. The brown wall's iron hook is forced inside the wall. It widens horizontally pushing the other objects left and right. The two opposite corners open slowly with two small blowers. One inhaled & other exhaled. It showed the mirror awfully great. The shine fades into a red vertical tornado with a tint of blue color. The shining goes off.

The Display that Faked

A house opposite a road was nearly visible on a foggy weather night. The area was utterly deserted. No sign or landmark was visible in it. On the door, green bushes were drawn with a 'For Sale sign below with a name. Martinhos. A stranger rushes hard, arrives on the road, and consciously pushes the doorbell with a rectangular shabby box. He wore shorts with a linen shirt and a cotton T-shirt. Became transparent in a similar white light that Duke had observed a few moments ago. A man with a blue jacket and a grey sweater combined with sweatpants opens the door.

"Who's there?" the man says. His eyes fall on that shabby box. There was a corpse of a newborn baby. Opening the box and keeping the baby on his dining couch. He rolled the box out to look for something if at all there was anything along. Nothing. He held the baby for a few seconds to check if some message on its body.

When he kept the baby down, the man's hand accidentally went through the baby's nose. This triggered some attractive energy & instant hearing aroused inside. The cuts, bandages, and bruises filled up and started vanishing in a swish and the body looked healthier than ever. He concerned that baby's breath was powerful and long. He held the baby in his arms longer than he thought of, as the baby slowly opened his dim, uncomprehending eyes. The weight of the baby later was normal and its body wasn't cold like before five minutes ago was freezing cold. A woman running through the road slammed the door open and closed the door from inside.

"Hey...sorry...what did I miss?" the woman asked while recovering her breath.

"I found the body of this kid, Amelia -," the man replied.

"Step aside, step aside. Let me!" the woman replied. The man took the baby in arms and gave the soft body to her. She felt enchanted holding the baby in his hands.

"Please let me put this straight. Some stranger, at midnight, kept this shabby box in front of the door, in which I find his body-"

"Why are you saying "body of the baby" again?"

"I am just ... nothing. As you opened the door, his magnificent eyes "opened" to 'observe'."

"Ok, buddy. Enough. Let's name him."

"Let's name him Guiradet after my great grandfather who also had a powerful physique just like him.' the woman replied in a cheered voice.

"Sure." the man replied in a low voice. Thought no one observed that baby hasn't cried once. The baby passed his first year with not a single cry. The Martinho's consulted every doctor they heard of but the doctors got intimidated & frightened by their medical degrees after examining that kid.

Doctors had never seen a kid like him before & maybe were sure that the kid landed from the moon or somewhere. His physique wasn't the only reason in his tests. His intelligent quotient was off the charts.

'I don't understand … if this kid is so rough & tough, why'd someone just leave him at the door?

Time is the largest & fastest element. The infamous Duke passed his tenth grade at the age of 6 with flying colors. His teachers were thrilled with his performance at the 'Fare thee Well' riveting but his classmates hated him. It was maybe because his arrangement and organization of being alone were superb. He alone managed to entertain the guests. Different, not like his mates. Maybe it was they felt something off, in his behaviour.

Last day at school. He took all his certificates and skateboarding inside his yellow school bus.

The classmates also understood him in the 10th grade that he's still our friend after being the ultimate kid or an ultimate weirdo.

Embracing home, Mrs. Martinho kissed his cheek being half happy that she probably made un-notice.

Went to change.

Looking at a hanging mirror, he took his shirts. Some green pimples squirted out on his forehead. They slowly grew larger than ever and started bursting. A squishy and filthy white fluid came out like a tsunami. He flashed to the kitchen but his body was splashed and halfsies. It was some sort of light-headedness and

"Mom, what's this? Duke asks.

"What? Mrs. Martinho asks him anxiously.

"You can't see the green bruises? Duke inquired anxiously as his head turned to fade his silvery black hair into shiny black.

'No. I see none, dear.' Mrs. Martinho replied. The mirror started whispering things no one managed to comprehend. It started feeling unconscious. No one could tell.

An eight-year-old Duke comes running out of the house and looks at the display intentionally which the old Duke was looking. The view vanishes. They observed.

The mirror collapses the show with a sigh of relief that didn't take any longer turning into a sigh of exasperation.

'I don't remember any of that.' Duke says in distress.

'That's because he's a Ganyime born.' The mirror replies.

'He's what?

'Ganyimes are the creatures born on Jupiter's moon known as Ganymede which shows up it's parallel moon once in a life time & when it shows up, some fed up creatures jump through some green bubbly creatures which blast up in space releasing a thousand white substances. Basically, it's a ritual which they do every 459 years. Their consciousness is controlled by an unknown area that they explore when they have opened these areas after passing these many years. After they get brainwashed by defeating the harmful parasite that was the ventriloquist. These substances earn a conscious push in themselves and try to gain acceptance from other planets which suites their overall diffused body.

Pretty rare creatures, they are. These creatures are born from white soil which generates a chemical when they die, their residue is either taken into another form of a creature or they are reborn as a humanade. It looks like a person who grows and shrinks at a certain age. With their memory.'

'Ok. So according to that, I believe now I'd be also decreasing or shrinking ... whatever at this age'.

'Yeah, that's like it. But let's not talk about that. I... never wanted to leave you, son. It's these dumb rules which have abashed my life and threatened me internally so much. But I don't know how a humanade was born on Earth.'

'What d-you mean by that?' Duke asks.

'Ganyimes are not permitted to enter the lives of others because their masters have taught them about that. They believe that entering a new world may ruin the shine of that world which only the creatures living there can see. Until one of the families threw that big ball of gas containing white fluids.'

'Then I believe I'm not a Ganyime,' Duke says satisfying himself with an unknown emotion.

'Maybe. There is a rare chance that you are a humanade. As there is also no aroma of fruit . A Humanade also exerts a very pleasant smell.'

'How does it matter?' Duke shrugged his shoulders.

'Son. Listen to me. Luigies are behind you. You have very little time to save yourself and other Hs.'

'But who are these Luigies...why are they behind me?'

'Because they need the source. The Power Source, which only works with all the fragrances of the fruits.'

'Dad, I am just a regular human and I don't believe some shit. Dad believes in beauty; nature has provided us with so many alternatives to enjoy it. I don't know what nonsense you are talking about.'

'Son, it is difficult to believe. It has been more difficult for me. I'm your father. I'm not regularly ongoing inside a mirror. This is the first time, I finally achieved to talk to you successfully with the help of your friends.

'But... still we dunno if I'm a humanade. And, who are these Luigi's?

The mirror echoes and gives a dramatic effect of sighing.

'I'll tell you but first I need you inside this viewport. I also work as a cam on Xydum. Do you have anaglyph 3-D glasses?'

'Uh… yeah. They're here somewhere.'

'Great. Bring some binoculars too. Put those on and I'll show you the clearest you need to see further.'

'But what about the Clearance, if they suspect Duke on the cams, you know they can straight-away find Duke?' Ginell says.

'And hey I'm also gonna need more context here, Okay.' Duke widens his eyebrows on Ginell.

'Okay.' Ginell replies. 'He won't be seen, trust me.' The mirror replies.

Duke walks to his dirty lobby and opens his wooden compartment. As Duke touches the surface, the compartment starts decaying and it burns into flames. Duke panics and gets his binoculars and 3-d glasses.

'Okay, I got 'em. Listen, dad-'

'Okay, get ready for the tinging. Ginell make the figurines.'

Ginell sees the backs of Duke and approaches him. His fingers burn when he touches his back.

'What just happened? Duke! Remove your shirt. Fast.'

'Okay.' Duke takes out his shirt. 'What's that sign?'

See.'

The mirror shows Duke's back. There was a small dot that was changing. Square, Rectangle, then to a Prism.

'Oh, holy Gawd!'

'What, dad?'

'Son, you are a mixed creature. You are a humanade, a Luigie, and a regular human according to the rotating figurines.' The mirror echoes.

'But dad, why is this happening now?' Duke asked scaredly.

'The rectangle is a humanade, the square is the human & the prism which is 3D is the sign of a Luigie. It's dark black for most. But, yours has skin coloured.'

'What's happening?' Duke screams in fear.

'Dad, when I went to get my binoculars and my glasses, I glanced at the cupboard and tried to open it. But it got burned instantly and I was just going to tell you but before I know it, you screamed.

I dunno, some tingling.'

'That son, is a portal machine. Like me. I can help you transfer to the Xydum planet.

When a creature enters a portal machine, the machine tingles, and... it gives so hard noises because it tries to destroy that creature. Because that leads to an invasion on the planet. Depends on how much pressure you can hold.'

'Who are these Lugus?

'I'm so glad you finally asked, son', The mirror echoes a big sigh.

'Why?' Duke asks blankly.
