Chapter 3 - Identical Marks and the Heartbeat of the Forest

The forest, shrouded in blue mist, was silent. But within that silence, thousands of secrets lay hidden. A young woman—her name was Seely—walked slowly, as if floating among the trees. Her sky-blue cloak blended seamlessly with the mist.

Her mind was elsewhere. "Who was that young man? Why did he call out to me like that?" she asked herself. She did not know him. She had never seen him before. Yet, the moment she saw that golden star mark on his sword back in the village, she had been struck with fear.

She gently lifted her sleeve. Near her wrist was a finely etched mark of a golden star. It was identical to the mark on Li Hua's sword. She, too, had no memory of her past; the only thing she knew was this mystical connection to nature and this strange mark on her body.

A faint whimpering sound from a distance caught her attention. She immediately changed her direction. Seely could hear what every tree and every animal in the forest had to say. To her, it was a blessing—either from birth or inherited from a forgotten past.

Peering through the mist, she saw a small "Snow Deer" lying near a bush. Its hind leg was severely injured. It wasn't an ordinary wound; it bore a dark, black stain—the venomous bite of the 'Black Mist Wolves.'

"Don't be afraid, little friend... I am here," Seely whispered in a very soft voice.

The deer trembled in fear, but the moment Seely placed her hands on its head, it grew calm. She closed her eyes. Faint green streams of light began to flow from the surrounding trees and vines toward her hands. She drew energy from nature and transformed it into a healing remedy.

Seely was a masterful healer. She could talk to plants and extract their secret medicines. Her only goal was to protect this natural world. But unfortunately, she possessed no strength for combat. If a dying plant stood before her, she could heal it, but if a fierce enemy appeared, she would be helpless.

"This forest is growing darker day by day," she sighed. "I can heal these wounds, but I lack the strength to stop the dark forces that cause them."

Watching the healed deer stand up and run away, Seely began to think about the young man again. "His sword bore the exact same 'Celestial Mark' as the one on my hand. Is he also someone who has lost his past, just like me? Why did he call out to me?"

Seely stood up from where she was. She didn't even know why she had intentionally left a blue flower in front of him. Perhaps her subconscious was telling her that these two individuals, bearing the same mark, must unite to change this dark world.

"Will you come looking for me?" she whispered to the wind and vanished into the mist. Though her movements were free and graceful, her heart was heavy with questions about the mysterious mark.
