Zabuza Momochi's face darkened as several veins bulged on his forehead.
A massive surge of Chakra burst from his body, forming violent airflow that blasted away nearby branches and dust.
His personality had always been arrogant and indifferent. He could even endure humiliation for the sake of a plan.
But even someone like him could not tolerate Renji's disdainful attitude and mockery.
At first, he had been wary of the three minutes Renji gave him, thinking it was some kind of trick.
But now he understood.
There was no trick at all.
Renji had given him three minutes purely out of arrogance and absolute confidence.
He finally realized that Renji was like someone praised by a hooligan.
Arrogant, willful, conceited, and completely confident in his strength.
"Don't regret this, you brat! I'll tear that smirking face of yours to shreds, and your head, with a bounty of a billion, will be mine!"
Zabuza Momochi quickly formed hand signs and slammed both hands onto the ground.
"Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique!"
The ground shook violently as a surging current rose like a massive wave from the earth, churning across the land.
Large sections of the forest collapsed in its path as the torrent rushed toward Renji with terrifying force.
This was an A-rank Water Release ninjutsu rarely seen even among ordinary ninjutsu.
Without Jonin-level Chakra, using the Great Waterfall Technique was impossible.
Because of the enormous amount of injected Chakra, the waterfall weighed at least tens of tons, enough to crush many ninja instantly.
"Is this guy weak?" Naruto Uzumaki's eyes widened as he stared at the massive incoming wave in disbelief.
What a terrifying technique.
"How is that possible?"
Sasuke Uchiha stared at the approaching torrent with his Two-Tomoed Sharingan as a drop of cold sweat appeared on his forehead.
From this technique alone, it was obvious that Zabuza Momochi's strength was terrifying.
Being able to use such an A-rank Water Release technique in a place with no natural water source was incredible.
Teacher Renji actually called someone like this weak.
That was unbelievable.
Even Chunin or some Jonin would be crushed if swallowed by that waterfall.
"Wh-what should we do?" Sakura Haruno's legs gave out and she dropped to the ground.
She had no way to resist the Great Waterfall and no speed to escape it.
Is this the power of an A-rank rogue ninja?
What a terrifying enemy.
"Great Waterfall, huh? Among ordinary ninja, it really is quite powerful."
Renji calmly watched the massive wave rushing toward him and slammed his hands onto the ground.
"Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall."
The ground trembled violently as cracks spread across the surface.
A massive block of earth as hard as steel rose upward, lifting Team 7 and Tazuna high into the air.
Naruto Uzumaki was suddenly launched skyward by the rising earth block. He instinctively shut his eyes and shouted, "Waaah!"
"To be able to use Earth Release without hand signs, he really is a terrifying man."
Sasuke Uchiha let out a breath of relief as he glanced at the earth platform beneath his feet and then looked toward Renji in the distance.
He had clearly seen that Renji simply slammed his hands onto the ground before activating the technique.
Ridiculous.
Completely ridiculous.
Extremely ridiculous.
"Phew, we're saved."
Sakura Haruno collapsed into a sitting position on the earth block and looked gratefully toward Renji in the distance.
If Teacher Renji had not acted, they would already have been swallowed by the waterfall.
She leaned over the edge and looked down at the raging torrent below.
Her face turned pale as lingering fear filled her eyes, and she swallowed nervously.
Still terrifying.
Wait.
After saving them, what about Teacher Renji himself?
"Teacher Renji, be careful!"
Sakura suddenly turned toward him. At that moment, the massive wave had already reached him and was only a ruler's distance away.
At that distance, dodging or defending was impossible.
"Teacher Renji!"
Team 7 watched anxiously as Renji was swallowed by the giant wave.
"Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation."
Renji removed the lollipop from his mouth and exhaled blazing flames that transformed into a vast sea of fire.
The scorching flames instantly evaporated the entire waterfall. Hot steam spread everywhere like thick mist.
The sea of fire did not stop.
It continued forward and surged toward Zabuza.
"This guy can use Earth Release and Fire Release without hand signs. What a terrifying man."
Zabuza Momochi's face turned grim as he stared at the incoming flames and quickly formed hand signs again.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"
Three massive water dragons rose behind him and lunged toward the approaching sea of fire.
"Water Release: Water Wall!"
The ground around him shook as a high-pressure wall of water rose and protected him like a shield.
Fire and water collided violently, producing massive clouds of steam.
The flames gradually weakened, but the remaining fire spread through the forest and ignited the surrounding trees.
Soon, the forest burned fiercely.
"Phew."
Zabuza Momochi knelt on one knee while clutching his burnt left arm and stared at Renji in the distance.
This guy is ridiculous.
Even with elemental advantage, I still needed three Water Release techniques just to barely block his Fire Release.
He had never seen such an absurd Fire Release technique before.
The gap between them was too large.
No wonder Renji acted so arrogant.
If he had that level of strength, he would be even more arrogant himself.
At the top of the earth platform, Naruto Uzumaki stared at Zabuza's burnt arm in confusion and muttered, "Does fire overcome water?"
"Idiot, how is that possible?" Sasuke Uchiha kept his hands in his pockets as he spoke coldly.
"Water Release overcomes Fire Release. Even an idiot knows that."
He already knew Renji's Fire Release was strong, but he never expected it to be this strong.
Even with elemental disadvantage, Renji still had overwhelming superiority.
Maybe what Renji said earlier about being stronger than Uchiha Itachi was actually true.
"Sasuke, why are you being so snotty? Of course I know that!"
A # symbol appeared on Naruto Uzumaki's forehead as he pointed at Zabuza in the distance and said.
"What I'm asking is why that guy still got burned if the elements cancel each other out!"
"You idiot, I knew you weren't listening properly to Teacher Renji earlier."
Sakura Haruno rubbed her forehead and sighed, "Teacher Renji said the power of a technique increases depending on how much Chakra is injected."
"When there is a huge difference in Chakra volume, elemental counters become meaningless."
She had listened carefully to Renji's explanation earlier, though she ignored the hooligan-style comments.
Naruto Uzumaki crossed his arms and nodded seriously, "Oh, oh, I know, Chadra, right?"
"Chakra!" Sakura Haruno glared at him.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield below, Renji kept the lollipop in his mouth and spoke with a fake apologetic expression.
"Sorry, sorry. I really hate getting wet. The feeling of being drenched is annoying, so I couldn't help using Fire Release."
He was telling the truth. He genuinely disliked getting wet.
Renji slightly raised his chin and looked at Zabuza with detached arrogance as he said, "But I didn't expect you to be so weak."
That was also the truth.
He had only casually used Fire Release to evaporate the waterfall so his clothes would not get soaked.
But he never expected that Zabuza would need three Water Release techniques just to barely block it.
Was it because of the beginner's gift pack reward earlier?
After his Chakra doubled, the power of all his techniques had doubled as well.
