Sasuke observed both carefully with his Two-Tomoed Sharingan before speaking calmly.
"I want to learn Rasengan."
He believed Rasengan had more development potential.
Also, Chidori made too much noise.
It would alert enemies easily.
Naruto looked back and forth between the two techniques before laughing.
"I want to learn Chidori. It looks cooler!"
Rasengan was strong.
But Chidori looked stronger.
More importantly, it looked impressive.
"Idiot. Rasengan uses less Chakra. Chidori consumes more," Sasuke scoffed.
"Why are you always so arrogant?" Naruto complained.
"Hmph." Sasuke turned away.
"Tch." Naruto also turned away.
"That makes sense. Showing off is important."
Renji nodded.
"Since you both have opinions, I'll make the decision."
"Naruto, you learn Rasengan."
"Sasuke, you learn Chidori."
"Who wants to learn Rasengan? Chidori is cooler!" Naruto protested loudly.
"Why?" Sasuke asked calmly.
"This is advice from an excellent ninja."
Naruto frowned, "What kind of answer is that?"
"Fox brat, blow some balloons," Renji tossed a bag of balloons toward Naruto.
"What are balloons for?" Naruto asked while blowing one up.
"Inject Chakra into the balloon and make it burst."
Renji demonstrated by injecting Chakra into one balloon until it popped.
Naruto tried immediately.
Nothing happened.
He tried harder.
Still nothing.
His face turned bright red.
Still nothing.
"Damn it! Pop already!" He glared at the balloon angrily.
"Are you constipated?" Renji looked speechless.
"Idiot." Sasuke picked up a balloon and released Chakra into it.
The balloon changed shape slightly but didn't burst.
"Tch. You couldn't do it either!" Naruto laughed proudly.
Sasuke threw the balloon away and turned aside with a flushed face.
"Hmph. Boring."
"It's already impressive that you can release Chakra."
Renji praised Sasuke before looking down at Naruto.
"But you are quite foolish."
Naruto clenched his teeth, "How dare you look down on me? I'll pop the balloon in one day!"
He refused to lose to Sasuke.
"I'll teach you a useful method."
"What method?" Naruto asked immediately.
"Practice together with Shadow Clones."
"Shadow Clones?"
Before Naruto could think further, Renji picked him up and tossed him toward a grassy area.
"Ahh, you bastard!"
Naruto landed roughly on the grass holding the balloon.
Then he suddenly realized something.
"I get it! As expected of Teacher Renji!"
He formed a hand seal.
"Multiple Shadow Clone Technique!"
Dozens of Shadow Clones appeared instantly.
"You understand quickly," Renji smiled slightly.
Naruto scratched his head proudly, "You guys train. I'm going to nap. Wake me when the balloon pops."
Using Shadow Clones meant he could rest.
What a genius idea.
Suddenly the Shadow Clones started arguing.
"I should rest!"
"No, you train!"
"You hit me!"
"I'll kill you!"
"I want ramen!"
"I want ramen too!"
Soon they all fought each other and disappeared.
Leaving behind one bruised Naruto.
Renji covered his mouth and laughed quietly.
"Fighting himself is quite amusing."
Then he turned toward Sasuke.
"You can already release some Chakra. Try infusing Lightning Nature into it. Use it the same way you use Fire Release."
"Understood."
Sasuke sat beneath a tree and focused on infusing Lightning Nature into his Chakra.
But he failed repeatedly.
"The feeling of Fire Release..."
Sakura tugged Renji's sleeve nervously, "What about me? What should I learn?"
"You're suited for close combat."
Sakura stared at him blankly.
Close combat? Was he serious?
She was supposed to punch a Jonin?
That was suicide.
"You're suited for close combat," Renji repeated calmly.
"I heard you the first time!"
Sakura complained.
"We're fighting a rogue ninja in five days. If I fight in close combat, I'll die!"
Renji tilted his head slightly.
"Strange. I'm stronger than him, yet you dare punch me. But you're afraid to fight someone weaker than me."
"That's different."
Sakura blushed slightly and lightly punched his abdomen.
"Your Chakra reserves are very small. You cannot sustain high-consumption techniques. So your fists are your best weapon."
"Small?" Sakura asked in confusion.
Renji unwrapped a lollipop and placed it in his mouth.
"Pathetically small. Even smaller than your chest."
"I understand, but can you say it differently!" Sakura protested angrily.
"Because your Chakra is limited, you must rely on your fists," Renji walked toward a large tree and tapped its trunk.
"Hit it with all your strength."
Sakura hesitated briefly before punching the tree trunk.
The trunk shook slightly.
Leaves fell.
"That hurts!"
She immediately knelt while clutching her injured hand with tears forming in her eyes.
Renji nodded calmly.
"See? It hurts because the tree is hard."
