Wei begins working for Winston Chu, a "Red Pole" (lieutenant) of the Sun On Yee. Wei has to balance his life as a thug—beating up rival gang members and collecting protection money—while secretly reporting to his police handlers, Inspector Teng and Superintendent Pendrew.
