Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 ⇁ Transforming into Oozaru, the Moon Sacrificed!

Goku stepped onto the martial arts arena. Jackie Chun hurriedly climbed onto the stage.

Goku assumed his fighting stance, watching Master Roshi while pondering how to defeat him and pave the way for Krillin. The old man had deliberately disguised himself to participate in the tournament for the sake of their future growth.

Letting him lose wasn't a big deal, but he couldn't let down his good intentions.

Before he could figure it out, the referee's call of "begin" interrupted his train of thought.

Jackie Chun attacked first, and Goku began exchanging moves with him.

Their speed was extremely fast, creating afterimages in the air. Their fists and feet collided with resounding thuds as attacks, defenses, dodges, and techniques alternated, fully displaying the prowess of masters.

The exchange between the two was clearly a level higher than before.

The audience watching such a rigorous battle widened their eyes.

"Spectacular!"

"So spectacular!"

"Both of these fighters are so skilled!"

The announcer grew enthusiastic.

"This is truly incredible! Both Son Goku and contestant Jackie Chun are amazing. Their kung fu has reached perfection — there isn't a single opening in their battle! So spectacular!"

After just a few exchanges, Roshi's heart began to sink, 'Oh no, this kid's strength seems to have surpassed mine. Those few exchanges left my arms feeling numb, yet he's completely fine, his breathing steady, moving with complete ease…'

After pondering for a moment, he prepared to use his ultimate technique.

Seeing Jackie Chun assume the Kamehameha stance, Goku took the same position.

At that moment, a golden cloud flew across the sky. Goku caught a glimpse of the Flying Nimbus and froze.

"Is that the Flying Nimbus?"

He looked carefully and saw a dark-skinned monk sitting on it.

It appeared to be Nam, who had just been defeated by Krillin. He was looking down and waving toward the arena. Goku didn't know him, so obviously, he was saying goodbye to Master Roshi.

In an instant, he understood. Master Roshi must have given him a capsule and the Flying Nimbus.

Just as he turned his gaze back, a full moon came into view. Instantly, his heart raced wildly, and his consciousness began to turn violent.

The next moment, his body began to expand, instantly transforming into a giant ape.

Seeing this, everyone around was stunned. Roshi looked up, his hair standing on end.

"Oh no, I didn't expect to see the moon in the evening here. And it just happens to be a full moon today. What a miscalculation!"

The announcer, seeing Goku transform into a terrifying giant gorilla, was scared half to death. But adhering to his professional spirit, he gritted his teeth and began commentary.

"Wh-what's happening here? C-contestant Son has turned into a giant ape? Waaaah, how terrifying! What kind of martial art is this? Truly remarkable!"

Backstage, the werewolf saw this and couldn't help but wonder, "Can this guy also transform under the full moon??"

Krillin, seeing Goku transform into a giant ape, broke into a cold sweat, "Goku, what's wrong with you? Is this your transformation technique?"

At that moment, Goku's transformation was complete. He had become a giant ape and began roaring, destroying everything wildly.

Roshi seemed to have thought of a solution and immediately shouted, "Thunder Shock Surprise!"

In an instant, two beams of lightning from his hands spread toward Goku. However, the moment they touched the giant ape, they bounced back.

Roshi exclaimed in shock, "Oh no, my attack was bounced back!"

At that moment, Goku tore apart the martial arts tournament building. Rubble, gravel, and building materials scattered everywhere.

The referee dodged the falling stones, crying out, "Waaaah, this is too dangerous! But as a referee, I cannot abandon my position!"

Roshi muttered, "I'm the unluckiest one here. If I step outside the ring, I lose the match!"

Seeing this, Krillin jumped onto the stage, "Goku, change back! This technique is dangerous for everyone!"

Roshi immediately shouted, "Get away! That's not a technique. When he sees the full moon, he turns into a monster. He's lost all reason."

Krillin was shocked, "What!… What do we do?"

Goku kept roaring and smashing things. He stepped down from the ring into the buffer zone, getting closer and closer to the spectators.

Roshi was alarmed. If others got hurt, this would be a disaster.

He gritted his teeth, "There's only one way!"

Roshi removed his jacket. His muscles bulged all over his body.

He distanced himself from the giant ape, stood in a corner of the ring, and began gathering energy. His hands formed a calyx shape — clearly the Kamehameha stance.

Krillin was shocked, "Stop! You'll kill Goku!"

But his attempt to stop him failed. From Krillin's perspective, Jackie Chun wasn't holding back. He was preparing to blast Goku to death.

He shouted to the giant ape, "Goku, run!"

Hearing the shout, Goku paused. But the next moment, he didn't head toward the audience.

Instead, he turned and walked toward Krillin. That massive fist pounded the ground, ready to hammer him into the dirt.

Krillin's sphincter tightened, "Oh no! He's coming at me!"

At that moment, Roshi's ultimate technique finished charging.

"MAX Power Ka~me~ha~me~ha!"

Blinding white light engulfed everything. Everyone shielded their eyes.

Krillin covered his head and closed his eyes.

After the Kamehameha, the giant gorilla had disappeared.

The referee climbed out from the ruins and announced, "This is incredible! Contestant Jackie Chun unleashed an amazing Kamehameha and struck down contestant Son Goku, who had turned into a giant gorilla. He's disappeared…"

Krillin couldn't find Goku anywhere. Tears instantly flowed from his eyes.

He cried out, "Goku!!"

The next moment, he glared at Jackie Chun.

"You bastard, you killed Goku! You murderer — give him back!"

Jackie Chun's bulging muscles deflated.

He pointed to the edge of the ruins, "Don't panic. Look carefully — he's not dead!"

Krillin froze, then looked where Roshi was pointing. He saw Goku lying stark naked on the ground, as if asleep, his tail still showing.

He was overjoyed, "That's great! Goku is still alive!"

Jackie Chun smiled, "Of course. If I killed him, I would lose. I knew he would transform when he saw the moon, so my Kamehameha didn't push away Goku — it pushed away the moon."

"What?!"

"The moon is gone?"

The audience, announcer, and other contestants all looked up at the sky.

The sky was cloudless. The moon was gone.

"Oh my, it's true! The moon really is gone!"

Jackie Chun said, "This way, he won't be able to turn into a giant ape anymore."

He looked at the referee.

"Now that he's outside the ring, you should declare me the winner, right?"

The referee immediately shouted, "Oh my! Contestant Jackie Chun has done something incredible! He actually pushed away the moon — what tremendous power!"

Seeing the moon's disappearance, Krillin felt both shocked and relieved.

Relieved that Goku wasn't dead. Shocked that masters of such caliber existed in this world — capable of destroying the moon with mortal power.

Yamcha, witnessing this scene, was also stunned.

He couldn't help but praise, "Truly worthy of being Master Roshi! Goku can only extinguish a mountain fire, but Master Roshi can push away the moon — truly worthy of being his teacher!"

Though the technique was absurdly powerful, the audience wasn't happy about it. Knowing he had pushed away the moon, the crowd began cursing.

"Damn it, how are we supposed to enjoy the moon from now on?"

"Moon cakes have become meaningless."

"Werewolves can't transform anymore!"

"Without the moon, there's no romance left…"

Hearing the chaotic cursing, Roshi urged, "Referee, hurry up and make your decision — I won!"

Once the match was over, he wouldn't have to take the abuse. After all, they were cursing Jackie Chun — what did it have to do with Roshi?

End the match quickly, shed the disguise, and be free.

The referee shouted, "Congratulations, contestant Jackie Chun wins!"

Just then, Goku slowly regained consciousness.

"Huh, why is it so breezy?"

He looked down and discovered he wasn't wearing any clothes. Looking up, he saw countless spectators staring at him.

He quickly covered himself, looking utterly embarrassed.

"Oh no!"

Goku, who knew the plot well, already understood what had happened. He had accidentally seen the moon and transformed into a giant ape, bursting through his clothes. Master Roshi had pushed away the moon, and only then did he transform back.

Come to think of it, this was his fault — because the moon couldn't be seen during the day, he had almost forgotten about the transformation.

At this moment, Goku felt fortunate. If Roshi's Kamehameha had been aimed at him, it probably wouldn't have hurt him but would have enraged his out-of-control self.

However, with the moon gone, at least he wouldn't have to worry about turning into a giant ape for many years.

Just then, Krillin brought over a set of clothes, "How lucky — good thing Launch made two sets. Goku, put them on quickly!"

Goku's face lit up, "Krillin, help shield me from the audience."

"Yeah, okay!"

Krillin blocked Goku from view, and Goku hurriedly changed.

After changing, he realized that unlike in the original story, he was already outside the arena.

He scratched his head, "I thought I'd have to keep fighting — turns out I already lost!"

Krillin nodded, "Yeah, old Jackie Chun is amazing. He actually pushed away the moon with the Kamehameha. I'm nowhere near his level."

Goku suddenly remembered his mission: to help Krillin win the championship.

He said, "Krillin, do your best. Old Jackie pushing away the moon consumed almost all his stamina. As long as you hold out and exhaust his stamina, you're guaranteed to win."

Krillin's eyes lit up.

"That's right! It's a bit ungentlemanly to win this way, but who says I'm not lucky!" He patted Goku on the shoulder, "Brother, thanks for wearing down his stamina. When I beat Jackie Chun and win the prize money, I'll treat you to a meal!"

Goku nodded, "Sounds good, I'll be waiting."

Soon, Krillin stepped onto the arena.

He was full of energy and immediately launched an assault on Jackie Chun, who quickly blocked and dodged.

After a few exchanges, Jackie Chun found he couldn't muster much strength. Pushing away the moon had consumed nearly all his energy.

Jackie Chun sensed trouble, but Krillin pressed forward relentlessly, leaving him no choice but to grit his teeth and counter.

The referee, watching the high-intensity battle, couldn't help but provide passionate commentary.

"Wow, contestant Krillin is truly an offensive fighter! His attacks are fierce, leaving no gaps. Contestant Jackie Chun is clearly struggling to keep up."

Hearing this, Jackie Chun cursed, "Are you kidding me? You're saying I'm struggling?"

While speaking, he retreated to create distance, then formed his hands into a calyx shape.

"Ka~me~ha~me~ha!"

Krillin was alarmed, "Oh no!"

Without time to think, he also assumed the Kamehameha stance.

Jackie Chun moved first, firing off the Kamehameha. However, it was like a dud firecracker — it sparked a bit and then fizzled out.

The referee commentated, "Oh my, it seems contestant Jackie Chun's earlier exertion was too great. The Kamehameha has lost its power — this is really bad!"

Krillin, seeing this, was momentarily stunned, then remembered Goku's words.

He smiled at Jackie Chun, "Heh heh heh, old Jackie, you don't have much stamina left, do you? Really sorry, but this championship is mine!"

As he spoke, Krillin thrust his hands forward, "Ka! Me! Ha! Me! Ha!"

Roshi was shocked and immediately dodged. To his horror, though he evaded it, the Kamehameha blasted toward the spectators behind him.

He cried out, "Oh no!"

Krillin saw what was happening and panicked. He immediately redirected the energy upward.

His quick thinking worked. As the Kamehameha left the arena, it angled slightly skyward and missed the audience.

Krillin, Roshi, and the spectators in that section all broke out in a cold sweat.

"Good grief, that was close!"

"I was just 0.03 millimeters away from that Kamehameha!"

A new round began.

Krillin charged at Jackie Chun again.

Jackie Chun's body became an afterimage. Krillin hesitated for a split second. In that moment, Jackie Chun appeared and kicked him in the abdomen. Krillin cried out and collapsed, clutching his stomach.

The referee shouted, "Contestant Krillin has been knocked down!"

He began the countdown.

"Ten, nine, eight…"

After just three counts, Krillin stood up. He looked at Master Roshi and smiled slightly.

"Heh heh, that kind of attack won't work on me!"

Roshi felt a surge of alarm, "This is bad. This kid has grown quickly, and I exhausted too much energy in the last match. With my current stamina, there's no way I can beat him!"

While he was still thinking, Krillin charged again. The two clashed once more.

Jackie Chun could barely defend himself. He could no longer mount an effective counterattack. He fought while retreating and was soon backed into a corner.

Krillin cut off his escape routes. The next moment, he fired another Kamehameha.

Left with no choice, Jackie Chun retreated and fell to the ground.

The referee shouted, "Out of bounds! Contestant Jackie Chun is out of bounds — contestant Krillin wins!"
