Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

I don't know how long I slept, however, when I woke up, I was once again in my room. For a moment, it felt like everything that happened was some kind of extremely realistic, feverish dream. But that theory failed the moment I tried to stand and felt a sharp, sudden ache in my groin. Talk about almost being loved to death.

I definitely have a problem.

I mean, I always knew she had a screw loose—maybe a few—after the whole being tied up and used situation, but I always end up falling for her temptation. Her husband is not only a deadly, diabolical adventurer who I heard intentionally looks for high-tier beasts to get some "fun," but he's also extremely possessive. I heard he nearly killed a guy he discovered to be his daughter's boyfriend.

I still don't know how I got myself entangled in this mess. Waking up in this damned world after choking on a fishbone back on Earth, I was stark naked in a literally freaking ginormous forest. The canopy above was a dense, suffocating emerald weave, blocking out most of the sun. Surrounded by corpses, I formed a theory from that scene: maybe the original owner of this body was part of a group headed somewhere on a journey, who were attacked by wild animals and killed. I then took control of the body after the original died.

It seemed like a good theory if you were well-versed in the reincarnation and transmigration trope. The first thing I noticed was my equipment. Might I say, it was the only reason I might reject an offer to go back to my world. It was substantial—abnormally long compared to my six inches back on Earth. I remember watching adult films back then and seeing girls getting pursued by well-endowed actors; I developed a sort of inferiority complex looking at what my genes had to offer. I did hear most of those were altered in some way, but it didn't help looking down every day while taking a bath to see… that. I did get over it, though, through a complete eradication of any content featuring such "LIES" from my well-curated collections over the years.

But seeing it on me, in the body of a lanky-looking young man that I was now inhabiting? The thought of going back to Earth faded into mist. I didn't even try to find out how I got here. I instead focused on surviving and understanding the situation.

The Escape from Linduff

Forty-eight days in the forest. I don't know if the lack of geographical knowledge made me move about in circles, but I couldn't find a way out. It was like I was trapped in some sort of loop; at some point, I feared this might not really be transmigration, but a nightmare.

By some stroke of luck, and a practical bear-like monster with matted, charcoal-colored fur chasing me, I veered into a path that led me face-to-face with a colossal stone wall. That was what saved me. I found civilization: a town acting as the last border of the eastern part of the kingdom—well, a part of the eastern part, to be precise.

But that doesn't mean it was all roses. It was still hell. I suffered for the next few days, realizing the painful way that this world was nothing like Earth. People here had access to magic, and given I didn't have any memory of the person I was inhabiting, I couldn't do anything. I was just a chance away from being kidnapped by illegal slavers who took victims to Mevodia, a lawless "no-man's-land."

It was a miracle that averted that, and that miracle was Fidelia, the daughter of none other than Jenny. Yes… I was sleeping with the mother of the person who saved my life, and that's the reason I'm leaving today. Staying with that carnal addict would only end two ways, and neither would be good. I've tried numerous times to resist her, but it always ends the same way: an intense, sweat-filled encounter. This body is conditioned for it; that's the only conclusion I've arrived at. It might be the downside of the "upgrade"—a heightened libido. She just has to grind against me a few times, and the next thing I know, I'm losing myself in her.

I'll have to find something to do about it. But not here, and not now.

Creeeeeee! I pushed the window open. I didn't have any clothes other than the ones she provided—a stark white linen tunic and sturdy, raven-black trousers. I couldn't use magic, which was still a major disadvantage and a primary reason I was leaving; I need to find a teacher.

I climbed out the window and closed it softly behind me.

The town of Linduff. It's said to be one of the most primitive, backwater regions of the empire, but it's actually pretty decent. There's an adventurer's guild in the popular part of town, a merchant's guild, and various businesses. It's the heart of the town, always crowded with the bustle of buyers and sellers.

Their house was in a quieter district—the neighborhood for the slightly well-to-do. The property was enclosed by a low stone fence, matching the neighboring houses. It was a three-bedroom home with every functionality a house should have. Perfect, if I may add.

Exiting through the window landed me in the backyard, amidst a couple of gnarled apple trees and beautifully manicured, deep-green bushes. I made my way for the gate. It's a hard decision to leave, but I can't keep doing this. If that girl doesn't kill me, her father surely will. That woman, no matter how alluring she is, is dangerous.
