Chapter 2 - THE NEW MODERN LIFE.

In the year was 2003, the day of 14th June, far from a magical, old forest, a new chapter began for a soul that had once known immense power. In a simple human hospital, a baby boy was born into a loving family. The room buzzed with quiet energy. Nurses bustled, and the sweet sound of newborns filled the air. At the stroke of midnight, a tiny life took its first breath. His mother, eyes brimming with joy, held him close. His father beamed, his heart overflowing. Their precious son had arrived. They named him Adrian.

They had no idea that this name once belonged to a powerful Alpha, lost to time two centuries before. They couldn't guess that their baby boy carried that same ancient soul. And the life that awaited Adrian was beyond their wildest dreams.

Adrian grew up just like any other child. In his early years, he was quiet and observant. He rarely cried without a good reason. Even as a toddler, his eyes held an unusual intensity. His parents noticed it. His mother would tease, "Why does he stare at people like that?" His father would chuckle, "He's just curious." They never suspected anything out of the ordinary.

As the years went by, Adrian grew taller and stronger than most boys his age. But another side of him began to emerge. His temper. He could be calm for long stretches, but when pushed too far, something inside him would shift. At school, teachers saw him as bright but a handful. He couldn't stand being bullied. He hated seeing unfairness and he was lovable. Most of all, he detested anyone who picked on those weaker than themselves.

When Adrian was ten, an older boy tried to snatch his lunch. Adrian warned him to stop. The older boy just laughed. Instead of backing down, Adrian stood his ground. Their argument quickly escalated into a fight. Teachers had to step in and separate them. Adrian was punished, but strangely, he felt no fear. He felt something else. A deep satisfaction. It was as if fighting stirred something alive within him.

That night, Adrian had a dream unlike any before. He saw a dark, shadowy forest. He saw a woman weeping. He saw a man, a protector, standing between her and a pack of terrifying, monstrous creatures. Then, a voice echoed in his mind. "Protect him." Adrian jolted awake. His heart pounded like a drum. He looked around his familiar bedroom. Everything was normal. Yet, the image of the woman's face was crystal clear. The strangest part was that he had never seen her before. Not in this life, at least.

As Adrian entered his teenage years, his looks started to turn heads. He blossomed into a remarkably handsome young man. Girls at school were constantly drawn to him, and everywhere he went, people couldn't help but notice him. But Adrian wasn't interested in most of them. He preferred to keep his distance. His personality was a mix of things. He could be incredibly kind and protective of those he loved. But when provoked, he could become fiercely aggressive.

There were times when he himself wondered why his anger was so hard to control. During heated discussions, his heart would race. His senses would sharpen. He could hear sounds others missed. Smells that were undetectable to anyone else would suddenly become overwhelmingly potent. But he always found a simple, everyday reason for these strange occurrences. He never imagined they were whispers of something ancient and powerful, sleeping deep within his blood. Something waiting to be awakened.

By the time Adrian finished high school, he was a confident young man. He had dreams of creating a successful future for himself. He longed to leave his hometown and explore a different life. Then, an opportunity arose. He was accepted to study at Mzumbe University in Tanzania. The news brought immense joy to his family. His mother hugged him tightly. "I'm so proud of you," she said. Adrian smiled, "Thank you, Mom."

He packed his bags, preparing for his new adventure. To Adrian, Mzumbe represented the start of a fresh chapter. A new place. New friends. New challenges. He had no idea that this university would be the key to unlocking the buried secrets within his bloodline. Because somewhere beyond the ordinary human world, something had already begun to sense his presence. After two hundred years of slumber, the forbidden bloodline was stirring, ready to reclaim its power.
