Chapter 5 - Omw To Forks.

 "Sit down."

Silas sat down on the sofa as he said that and pointed to the sofa opposite him.

Cessian helped Gregor to sit down and sat down himself.

"You two have special gifts, right?"

Cessian nodde.

"Indeed master, maybe you noticed that after Gregor attacked the second time that he was faster and stronger?"

Hmm, indeed, a little.

"Yeah, I noticed, so what's his gift?"

Cessian looked over at Gregor who looked even more disheveled than when they arrived.

"He gets stronger the angrier he becomes… "

"But… it's not as good as you might imagine, it comes with downsides, he has poor anger management, he gets agitated much easier than others, and when he gets angry it's hard to talk to him, all you can do is suppress him or wait for him to calm down."

"He has gotten us into a lot of trouble because he can't control himself and attack people he shouldn't."

Silas nodded, that fits with what he just saw.

"Then what is your gift?"

Cessian smiled.

"Mine, master? Its not combat oriented, it allows me to feel fortune…"

Silas raised his eyebrow.

Cessian smiled.

"It's not as strong as you might think, 'cause everything can have both fortune and misfortune. Like arriving here, before we went here I felt both fortune and misfortune, but that isn't so strange."

"It also has to do with mindset, if I don't have a clear goal or know what I'm sensing I can't see if it is fortune or misfortune."

"The further in the future I try to feel the less I see, except for immediate actions I see nearly nothing."

Silas looked thoughtful.

"Is that how you've dodged the Volturi for so long?"

"Indeed master, nothing escapes your eye. Without my ability we would have been dead long ago. But this ability brings misfortune, 'cause without it I would never have been favored by Aro, and he would've never tried to force me into the Volturi, forcing me to run."

Cessian seemed a little down.

Silas ignored that.

"When you feel me with your ability, what do you see?"

Cessian smiled self-deprecatingly.

"I see only chaos, fortune, misfortune intertwined, but in the end whatever you do, fortune favors you, but also can't affect you."

"It's strange… I've never seen anything like it, and it doesn't quite make sense with how fortune should work…"

Silas nodded, he was an Immortal Emperor, this world that can't even withstand his aura cant affect his choices with fortune or misfortune.

That means no amount of good luck can't influence him nor can any amount of bad luck.

"Then did you submit because you felt it was a choice that would be fortunate?"

"Indeed."

Washington.

Forks.

The Cullen house.

"Five days and you're still not feeling better?" a deep voice rang out.

"Shut up Emmett, can't you see she's in pain?" Rosalie said with an annoyed expression.

"I was just asking, she's been laying like that for five days, just curious."

"I'm… I'm fine, it's lessening.

"I should be fine in a week or so."

"Haha, that's good."

Emmett turned to Rosalie.

"See, she wasn't mad, why did you have to be?"

Rosalie rolled her eyes and went back to reading her book.

Random city.

Mikael mansion.

It's been a week now since Cessian and Gregor arrived.

They have settled in fine, Gregor's injuries after the fight healed in just 3 days. That along with some blood and he was in tip top shape again.

"Master, your car has arrived, it's just outside."

"Ohh."

Silas stood up from the sofa and stretched.

"Lets go."

As they walked out Mikael took the time to report.

"I've acquired the house for you master, you can move in on the 16th of January, then all the furniture, electrics, water, food, should be there."

Silas nodded, that fit perfectly.

"Have you signed me up for school yet?"

"Yes master, everything has been taken care of, you are set to enroll the same day as that Bella girl."

Mikael didn't understand why the master wanted to go to school. Most wanted to take every chance to get as far away as possible from that place.

He can't guess the thought process of the master, just follow orders.

"Right, here are the keys, master." Mikael said as they walked out the door.

Silas turned around and grabbed the key fab.

As he turned his head back he saw the black car.

Indeed. A dignified Immortal Emperor must maintain dignity and a good vehicle is part of that dignity.

Silas nodded with satisfaction.

He walked over and took a round around the car.

It was beautiful, spotless paint, beautiful curves and shapes, a nice back view, and an even nicer front view, those headlights looked mean.

He walked over to the driver's side door and opened. And sat down, the leather seats were soft and comfortable.

A good car.

After finishing inspecting the car, all that was left was to pack and prepare for the drive to Forks.

Tomorrow is the 16th, the day I can move in.

Silas walked upstairs to his room and looked in his wardrobe. All he had was nice clothes, its nothing you wear to school.

I need some sneakers, jeans, t-shirts, hoodies… ect.

"Mikael, come here."

A minute later.

"Yes master."

"I need some teenage clothes, sneakers, jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, ect."

"Yes master, I will get right to it."

Mikael was one again confused, why did his master want this?

Sigh.

Let's just not think about it.

Later that day Silas's bed was full of the clothes he requested.

"I didn't know what you liked, master, so I picked a little of everything, just take what you like and discard the rest."

Silas nodded.

After rummaging through all the clothes he picked out 6 pairs of jeans, 20 t-shirts, 12 hoodies, 4 zip hoodies, and 4 pairs of sneakers where two of them were boots… after all Forks is rainy.

He also picked out a wool coat… for when it gets cold, and also for style. Not that he fears the cold, but you gotta blend in.

Phoenix.

"So I can't bring myself to regret the decision to leave home."

"I would miss Phoenix."

"I'd miss the heat."

"I would miss my loving, erratic, herring mother… and her new husband."

"But they wanna go on the road, so Imma spend some time with my dad."

"And… this will be a good thing… I think."

Smack.

"Come on guys, I love you both, but we got a plane to catch."

…

"Come on Mikael, bring the bags over."

Mikael huffed.

"Shut up Viktor, just 'cause you get to go with the master doesn't mean you can start to command me."

Viktor rolled his eyes.

Just then Silas exited the door, walking over with the keys to his car in hand.

"Load up the last things, also check so we haven't forgotten anything."

"Yes master" 2x

They went over everything.

"Nothing missing, master."

"Good, now Viktor gets in."

Just then Cessian and Gregor walked over.

"Master, what will we do this time?"

Silas rolled down the window.

"Start heading in the Washington direction, and then stay within a day's distance in case the Volturi attacks."

"And if they do, call me. Otherwise, stay low."

"Yes master." 2x

Silas nodded and rolled up the windows.

To Washington's rainiest… no America's rainiest town, Forks.
