Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

Raymond's POV

A call from a frantic mother in Marianna, Arkansas about a missing teenage girl and some other murdered women which ushered Janice and I into Unit Chief Peter Reyes' office where we were told to get on a plane to assist the Marianna Police so we should be there by this afternoon.

Janice and I meet at Washington National Airport so we can board our ten am flight to Bentonville, Arkansas so we can drive the rest of the way. I see Janice walk over with two cups of coffee, she sits down in front of me and hands me a cup of coffee.

Black coffee with one sugar.

"How many missing women are there again?" She enquiries

"Six murdered and another one missing as of yesterday afternoon," I tell her

"Age range?" She asks

"Between seventeen and twenty five," I inform her

"I assume all different backgrounds and classes," She stats and waits for confirmation

"Correct," I tell her as I look down at the case files we were sent by Detective James Anderson

"Where are we off to first?" She looks at her book and casually sips her coffee

"To the missing girl's home," I tell her and she nods her head in confirmation

Now boarding at Gate Four, flight 2394 to Bentonville, Arkansas

We hear a sweet sounding flight attendant call over the announcements so Janice and I collect our belongings and head to Gate Four for our flight.

We landed in Bentonville, Arkansas and collected a car from Budget Rent a Car which is one of the latest black Datsun Maxima so we set off for Marianna which should be a two hour drive.

We stop for lunch in Russellville at a little diner called The Milkshake Parlor and so I can call our Unit chief and the Marianna Police too. We need to keep people updated and well humans do have basic needs too, so I tell Janice to go get us a table while I find a phone to make some calls.

I walk into a tiny bookshop and see a young girl at the counter, organising a new shipment of books.

"Excuse me miss," I interrupt her

"Well hello sir, how can I help you?" She smiles sweetly

"I am in need to use a telephone if you have one available," I ask her

"Of course Sir, local call or national call?"

"One is to Quantico Virginia and the other is to Marianna Arkansas," I inform her

"Quantico? Oh, of course that should be okay, I will show you the phone,"

She steps out from being the counter and we walk down a hallway to a back office where the telephone is.

"Thank you miss," I tell her before she closes the door

"You're welcome Sir,"
