It's a blissful morning and children are running around the park . Some are bussy chasing butterflies whilst others are building sand sculptures and others are on the merry go round. Not far from the merry go round , a young girl less than 6 is sitting down and is crying. She sprained her angle and she can't move
" umm hello are you OK? What's wrong ? " A boy asked as he walked to where she was
" umm l...l... l sprained my ankle and l can't seem to find my mommy " the girl cried
" oh l see it's okay don't cry okay l am Damain Simpsons and l am.6 years old so why don't l help you with your ankle, here allow me " Damian Said as he bandaged her ankle with a peice of cloth he tore from his T shirt , such a gentleman
"Royaline Jameson, and l am 4 ouch that hurts " she winced as he finished patching up her ankle
" Royaline, that sounds like Royalt. Can l call you Royal if you don't mind " He said as he dusted her clothes
"Royal ,umm l love the sound of that , thank you " she said as she smiled through her tears .
"It's okay , now let us find your mommy okay " Damian as he carried Royal on his back and that was the beginning of a friendship that was going to last forever, from Kindergarten to middle school now they are in high school, the two been tight and every now and then he would always remind her that " I will always be there for you and Protect you all the time , you got me your brother from another mother "
But as of late that is about to change because of a certain a someone. History was not going to repeat itself especially with the stunt he pulled during PE class , he needed to be warned and this time make it clear,very clear .
He found .him already showered busy changing back into the school uniform.
"Brother would you mind telling what was that you pulled earlier in PE class , what were you thinking l thought l told you to keep your paws off her , so what was that?" Damian added trying his best to be calm
" Look brother, that was the force of gravity yes , it was gravity both of us didn't expect it so blame gravity " Zion said as he wore his shirt
" look l am in no mood for jokes and let me tell you this you need to keep a professional distance from Royal she is my bestfriend, have l made myself clear keep your dirty paws off her , understood "
" Don't you think it is hard to do considering she is my academic partner, l have no zero intentions of messing with Royal trust me she is a friend of mine and any wicked thoughts you have in your mind brother, erase them because l am not the vilian here ,so chill l promise l am not that guy anymore " Zion said as he prepared to go class
" hope you keep that way Zion or else l will forget you're my brother " Damian Said as he walked out . So it's is kind of what Zion imagined , he is overprotective of Royal yet he acts like he doesn't care , this is getting interesting.
It's lunch time the following day and Royal is sitting with Aliyah. The two girls are having French fries whilst talking well more of Aliyah os interrogating Royal about yesterday's PE incident.
" So you're saying you don't have any feelings for him, like think hard Royal are you sure ? " Aliyah asked adjusting her glasses.
" Gees Aliyah how many times must l tell you, that was a mistake, l barely know him and it's been 2 weeks since he arrived here at our school and if anyone is to know better it must be you Aliyah " Royal said biting a French frie
" I mean girl the way you two were into each other's arms for a second l thought I was seeing a romance drama and the way he looked at your lips , gosh that was to die for " Aliyah said, more like squeed like a teenage in love wait she is a teenage
" you were across the basketball court how did you manage to zoom at a long distance like that , Aliyah are you in love with Zion , does Damain know you're falling for another guy ? , this is so sad " Royal said
" no l am not its just l have four eyes remember , I mean l have pictures if you want that would definitely make you believe my perspectives. "She said handling her her phone .
" no thanks you can keep them , now let's go to class , Mrs Grey's literature class is coming up and that woman doesn't spare late comers "
" yeah l know but are you sure you don't want these pictures for rememberance sake "

The lecture was as always slow but there was one thing that made Royal wonder . Zion was calm very calm , calm like the sea and he seemed to go on like nothing had happened the previous day , was it her or he just teased her and that was it . He wasn't even paying attention to her or even looking at her direction. Gosh why was this so frustrating. Why was she thinking about him she must be thinking about Damian yes Damian and speaking of Damain she hasn't seen that boy since morning, he was her energiser and she needed to see him
After class That's when Zion decide to speak
" Royal hello , oh l meant howdy mate " he said with a smirk
" so now you finally realise l am alive so much for not talking to me ever since yesterday " Royal said, what is she saying
"Oh my bad l am sorry mate didn't know you craved my attention that much, tell you what l can give you plenty of attention if you agree to go to Evelyn's birthday party with me tonight trust me l will make sure you have all my attention " he said with a mischievous grin on his face .
" are you inviting me to go out on a date with you Zion because is so you're failing miserably. " Ruby asked
" no depends on how you define an invitation to a date so are you game ?"
" no l am not "
" such a shame considering Damain is going"
" I am game count me in "
"See you tonight then mate , adios " Zion winked at her as he left the classroom
" did you just accidentally invited yourself to a date or maybe l didn't here correctly " Damain asked
" no it's not a date Damain it's a party and besides you and Aliyah are going to be there so l will be fine " She said
" for someone who acts before thinking you're indeed stupid , you hate parties so what changed?" Aliyah asked
" It's all party of growing up " Royal said
Yes they were right she hated parties matter of fact hated public spaces but recently that has been changing and she doesn't know if it's because of Damain or Zion but either way it felt right for some funny reasons she didn't seem to understand.
