"It's the same as mine. Everything is the exact same." Gion concluded as she passed the diary to Bagard.
"Tsuru, Sakazuki, Garp. give us some space. It seems like the artifact holders can interact and talk to each other but are forbidden from leaking tot to non-holders. I will call upon another meeting when everything is figured out." Sengoku clearly wanted to test some things.
"Is it a devil fruit ability?" Tsuru asked.
"I don't know. But if it is, this has to be the weirdest devil fruit I've ever encountered."
Garp, Sakazuki and Tsuru left the fleet admiral's office but there was a specific frown on each of their faces.
Clearly, they were not as calm as they seemed to show.
Back in the office, Sengoku, Gion and Bogard finally managed to speak freely about the diary and about Soren without holding back. Sengoku was right after all. Diary holder can indeed hold a conversation without feeling that soul crushing pressure.
"What are your thoughts on Soren?" Sengoku asked.
"If we assume the information on his diary to be true, I think he is a pragmatic individual. He is not a cruel person but he is also not interested in the justice of Marines. From the diary we can also see that he doesn't hold the marines and the World Government at a high regard at all. In fact, for him the World Government, the five elders and that Imu he mentioned seem to be a greater threat to the world than the pirates themselves."
Bogard stepped forward and started speaking clearly. For a usually reserved individual like him to speak that quickly and speak as much, one could clearly see he had been holding it back for a while now.
"Not only that, he also firmly believes that the marines are completely powerless against the World Government even if we decided to go against them. He mentioned something called a Covenent but the information regarding that is still lacking."
Gion continued the thought process she had for the past two months.
"Not only that but he seemed to have considered the marines to be a viable choice to grow individually but as a faction he seems to have no hope whatsoever."
Sengoku felt silent and thought about the things he knew about the World Government. He knew about the Five elders and the God's Knights much more than the two in front of him but the Covenent and Imu, even he was clueless.
"Another thing to note is that Soren himself doesn't seem to realize his diary is being seen by the others." Bogard quietly added.
The three of them chatted for a long time about Soren and his entries but they were unable to reach a valid conclusion based on the current information.
"Do not mention this to anyone else. Continue to observe the diary. I will place Soren into Zephyr's hands for training. Even though there are mysterious forces involved here, I can tell that he still has the best of the world in his heart. We will allow him to grow and decide on future decisions based on the diary's information and future events. One month from now, call the admirals, Zephyr, Tsuru and Garp for a meeting. We will discuss this more in detail then. Also, from now on, come to my office every Sunday and Wednesday to discuss the diary."
Sengoku finally made a decision.
"Send Zephyr, Garp and Tsuru into my office. Dismissed."
"Understood." Gion and Bogard both saluted the fleet admiral and went out of the room.
'The situation is getting more and more complicated. Are the marines the only ones who hold the diary? Could there be other holders among us? What a mess.'
Sengoku went deep into thoughts.
It was clear now that Soren held some kind of future knowing ability and the information he wrote on his diary was something even he as the Fleet Admiral didn't know. He didn't know if this information was limited to the marines or if other factions also knew about it.
As Sengoku contemplated on the issue, Garp, Zephyr and Tsuru entered the room with grave expressions.
"What happened Sengoku?" As expected Garp was the impatient one.
"Sit down. I'll tell you what's going on."
"Me, Gion and Bogard have obtained a mysterious artifact. How it appeared or who gave it to us, non of us are sure but it just appeared to us. Every day, that artifact gives us random information ranging from the World Government to the marines to the pirates. As of now we are not sure whether this information is particularly reliable but I am leaning towards it being the truth. Gion heading to Sema Archepelago was also because of the artifact's information. Currently, all three of us are investigating the artifact but we can not involve any non holders into this."
Sengoku did not waste any time and laid out the facts directly.
"What do you need us to do?" Zephyr asked with his neutral tone. As of now he was still not that New World destroying Z that he would become eventually. He still cared about the marines and it's future at this point.
"There is no need for any immediate action but I want you guys to be prepared." Sengoku's voice was grave as he said it.
"Zephyr. As far as I remember, there is no military training camp for the next three months. There is a very high potential recruit in the marines. I want you to train him."
Zephyr's eye flickered as he heard Sengoku's words but Garp cut him off before he could say anything.
"Bwahahaha! It's that brat Soren right? How about you give him to me instead, Sengoku?" The grin on his face made veins bulge on the side of Sengoku's head.
"Garp! You bastard. If you are that free then scram to the new world and capture some pirates!"
