Chapter 3 - Chapter 3:Zeus's Trapped Memory Is So Shameful, It'd Cost A Permanent Passage Way To Get Rid Of

When Wesley laid down to sleep, his eyes fell upon a wooden floor plank that wasn't quite nailed down. Which means it was removable, and probably there was something hidden under it.

But Wesley was done being curious!

He definitely wouldn't want to raise that plank and get disappointed again. He closed his eyes to sleep, ignoring it.

Minutes after Wesley closed he eyes, he felt like he was in a dream. In that dream he was in the tavern and he could hear the voices of people talking right outside the tavern.

"The God of Immortality's Tavern is still here?" One had asked. The voice was feminine and it sounded so sweet.

"I bet no one is inside. It was raided by the holies and everything was thrown out in the abyss." Another voice that was feminine but this time sounded so sluttry and seductive.

"It's such a pity. We used to have a lot of customers here, didn't we?" Came the third voice that sounded like she was rather moaning instead of talking.

Three, there were three feminine outside.

Although Wesley couldn't see them, he concluded they were women. They must be pretty and endowed too, so he though.

"Yes..I really missed this place."

"It's a good thing the passage way was open just in time for us to passthrough. I brought a Rabbi Jade Stone. As a parting gift for the god of Immortality's Tavern."

"Me too. I brought a Heaven Pure Plum from our famous spirit cultivation tree."

"And I brought 5 grains Spice Rice. Now I work in Inari's Rice garden now."

"Come, let us drop it here and leave. It will be unfortunate if the passage way gets closed again and we are stuck here."

"Yes!"

"True."

Wesley believed this was a dream, a dream in which he couldn't see anything. It was dark, he could only hear voices. After all, there was no way there would be a passage way in reality because he had looked around and this Tavern was floating on nothing.

There wasn't even a door to the tavern so how could it be that these ladies used to work here and even have customers here.

Was this dream trying to tell him something then? To go after three ladies, is it?

The pain of resting his head on a hard surface made him open his eyes. His eyes fell on the plank again and he sighed. He was bored.

He decided to put his hope, yet again on that plank! So he lifted it but wasn't really disappointed with what he saw. There were four black jars, trapped memory jars hidden. Each were labelled. Three had names he didn't recognize at all but the fourth one had the name 'Zeus' carved on it.

He wasn't disappointed even though he knew this jar was useless. According to the recipe book, trapped memories only return by default to the actual owners of the memories. And the red sand ingredients seals black wood, so only the owners of the memories can unseal the jars.

"I better go back to sleep," he dropped the jar and hid it with the plank flooring again. "Who knows, I might actually see the faces of the beauties with such enchanting voices this time."

Wesley closed his eyes, just for a minute....

Somewhere in Aether World, Mount Olympus was situated in the western axis, a god... rather, the King of gods of Olympus was busy being a god with thunderbolt in his hand.

Dusk was approaching but the light in that area of that city was as bright as day, with the gods, holies and heavenlies of Mount Olympus all dressed and awaiting 'the feast'. It was joyous atmosphere. Their warriors were out to fight a battle and would soon be returning victorious, hence the feast.

The god of Mount Olympus on the other hand, sitting in his throne didn't seem to be joyous.

He kept his hand under his chin and kept looking northward, towards the area where The Void was. His eyes had a trace of longing. Until that longing vanished and his eyes twinkled.

The aura of Divine Sin had warmed his nose and it seemed to be coming from where he was looking at.

Shock, confusion and curiosity filled his eyes. He got up from his throne—the throne of Zeus.

"I shall journey myself to The Void!"

*****

Usually, there was a passage way to The Void that used to be seeable and walkable to everyone but after the ban, Zeus along with other gods made the passage way invisible. They locked it and only unlocked it when they needed to use there as a short cut to travel to another region of Aether World.

When Zeus, the god of Mount Olympus, saw that his favorite—that the god of Immortality's Tavern was still in existence, he didn't know whether to be happy or angry.

He held his bolt tightly and speedily appeared into the Tavern.

The tavern didn't have a door because he had struck the door down and sealed the tavern up.

"Why is this place still in existence, and why do I smell Divine Sin emitting from it?" Zeus had walked in but had not get notice the sleeping heavenly.

Wesley snapped out of his sleep and stood up. He looked at the visitor who had just entered, shocked. Zeus!?

The way Zeus was described on earth was similar to what he was seeing before him. Only, humans in earth really exaggerated the body size and shape of Zeus. This Zeus didn't look that big. He barely had muscles.

But that thunderbolt in Zeus's hand....

Wesley wiped his eyes with his hand countless times but his eyes were still somehow seeing the list of ingredients that could come out of that thunderbolt. For example, a small dust of that thunderbolt could polish all the woods in this tavern!

On top of that was the fact that this Zeus-looking guy someone managed to come into the Tavern without a door. This was absolutely a ray of hope.

"And who might you be?" Zeus raised a brow, asking Wesley.

"Welcome to.... to here... my Tavern," Wesley stammered. He didn't mean to.

"How many I help you? Oh, I am Adeth, a heavenly. I am like a bartender here. I make brews you want and serve them to you. In. A. Cup."

Zeus stared at Wesley for a moment, trying to figure what Wesley was and if hie words were true. After some seconds he asked, "How can you say to me that this is your Tavern when it belongs to the god of Immortality?"

Wesley froze.

Zeus continued. "I was in my Palace of Zeus at Mount Olympus when I perceived the aura of Divine Sin. Usually, only the god of Beer and Immortality can create such an aura. Where is he?"

Wesley froze again. He was dumbfounded and didn't know what to say at all.

So the god of Beer and Immortality really existed but even Wesley didn't know where he was or even how he looked. But one thing was clear, he must not loose this Zeus. Else, he's stuck here.. again.

"Well, you see, the god of Immortality left me in charge. I used to be his servant for a while. And he also left something for you." Wesley's voice was quite professional, but inwardly he was hoping the plot he had in mind worked!

"Left you in charge means he is going to disobey my order of bringing down this Tavern. Regardles, what did he leave for me?"

"There. Under your feet," Wesley pointed to the plank flooring Zeus stepped on.

Zeus casually shifted to stand a bit away and Wesley bent down. He retrieved the memories trap jar for Zeus and handed it to him. With a smile he said, "this is it. Have it."

Wesley really hoped Zeus will get that piece memory back, alas it would be a good morning and then Zeus will reward him by telling him to ask of any favour. That was a good plot.

But the moment Zeus touched the jar, he frowned without opening it. "I do not want it. Destroy it."

"..."

"I remember telling the god of Immortality to take away a piece of my memory and afterwards I woke up stark naked with the name of my goddess wife tattooed on my arse. I do not want to know how the tattoo got there or why I was stark naked outside my Palace of Zeus."

"..."

Understandable. But now Wesley was at a loss. Or..not.

Wesley calmly took back the jar and shook it. "Sure thing, King of the gods—Zeus. I do remember what happened because my master the god of Immortality told me. He also taught me how to get rid of trapped memories for good!"

Zeus's eyes sparkled.

"But dear Zeus, your memory is so Shameful, it won't be so easy to get rid of it. If I just decide to quickly and easily do it, what if other gods and Myths find broken pieces of it?"

Wesley was playing mind games, and he really hoped it'd work.

Zeus's face turned sour. "Wukong?"

"..."

Wesley was conflicted for a minute but then understood. Zeus didn't seem to like the eastern myth Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. Perfect!

Wesley nodded slyly. "Yes. The Monkey King! It's up to you, King of the gods."

Zeus clenched his bolt. "Destroy it. All of it. Nothing to be left."

"Then that would cost you something very very small. Just a passage way to the Tavern. A permanent one. And then my door."
