Chapter 7 - Tale #7

Dear Lady Norwood,

This is Prince Waco writing a letter of a call to action. As you may have heard our neighbors (Russocon) to the east have been quarrelling with us about placement of our borders. Garrisons have been built, troops deployed, and the occasional hooligans acts from each side are actions that have been taken in the past. I fear that those days are long past. Now talks of actual war spread through my father's hall.

The writing of this letter is because Castle Nor and Norwood woods lays near our eastern border. While it is true that a specter haunts the woods, and this might scare our enemies from attacking through that route, our generals believe that there still needs to be a military presence. You are ordered by my father, King Joseph the 9th, defender of our realm, to gather you arms and help aid our troops deployed in Norwood Woods. They will be stationed in your castle, and be allowed to move freely to the villages that surround Norwood Woods, so that they can patrol the area.

You will be still given authority over the region, as you know the territory and people better than even our top generals even want to admit (they still think a noblewoman shouldn't be in charge of anything except making the home look pretty). You will be aiding our brave troops and Major Poctor has been told to "play nice" with you. Along with aiding our troops if needed and our Russconian enemies attack, you are to go into battle to fight them, but as a member of the brave Norwood family, this won't be too much to ask for you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Being a part of the nobility—despite the loss of prestige throughout the years—means defending the realm. Your actions will be valued by me, his majesty, my father, and the people of our realm.

Sincerely,

Prince Waco
