Elen stirred slightly in her sleep due to a slight sound.

Tap....tap
This time it was enough to pull her from her sleep.Slowly she opened her eyes.The room was eerily dark,the pale curtains dancing slightly.
Tap...Tap....Tap
She heard the sound again.
She slowly peeled her blanket away and placed her small legs on the cold floor.She sat there on the bed straining her ears wandering if she was imagining things.
Just as she was about to go back to bed again.She heard the sound near the window.
With her hands shaking,and her small heart beating fast.She slowly got out of bed to check it out.
Slowly she inched closer and closer to the window the curtains swaying slightly. She peeked a little outside the window,aside from their crooked fence,and the faded moonlight nothing was there.She released a quiet sigh of relief and shut the window.
She then glanced at her baby brother,who was curled up on his bed hugging himself tightly,slightly shivering.
She went closer to him lowering herself on his bed and pulling his blanket over him.
Slowly she also stood up and went to bed.
A shadow shows up right outside the window near the crooked fence and disappears with the passing wind almost as if nothing was ever there.
