Chapter 15 - Ch 15- The Difficult Client, Mavuika

#Chuychu's Vision Was Crafted by the Pyro Archon

#Is the Pyro Archon on Good Terms with Celestia?

The new video released by Genshin Impact wasn't very long. It showed Chuychu practicing against monsters across Natlan after receiving her Vision from the Pyro Archon. It was essentially a character demo with a bit of story content.

However, the few lines of dialogue at the beginning of the video truly caught the players' attention.

"The Pyro Archon can craft Visions, and those who receive his Vision can also enter the Event Wish."

"Does that mean more than half the people in Natlan will be Pyro users?"

The players speculated.

To this, Caelus replied:

"Incorrect."

"Only Chuychu and Kinich can enter the Event Wish."

Caelus was riding a Qucusaurus, heading toward the Children of Echoes tribe.

Some time had passed since he began crafting Visions, and more than a dozen people had obtained one from him.

However, among all those people, only Chuychu had entered the Event Wish so far.

Caelus asked whether it was a character modeling issue for the others, but the system replied that it wasn't. It was a rule set by the Genshin Impact developers.

Genshin Impact releases about 17 new playable characters every year.

[After the host and Chuychu enter the Event Wish, the number of characters released in a year will increase to 19.]

[The annual limit has been reached.]

"Wouldn't it be better to release more characters and make more revenue?"

Caelus sighed softly after learning the reason.

After Chuychu entered the Event Wish, the Emotion Points he gained increased significantly.

Moreover, after he revealed in Chuychu's character demo that he could craft Visions, the players' Emotion Points surged again.

Just as he wanted to keep up the momentum and let a few more people enter the Event Wish, he was informed that the quota had already been reached.

What a pity.

A truly great pity.

While Caelus was feeling regretful, the Qucusaurus he was riding arrived at the Children of Echoes tribe.

"Thanks for the hard work."

After thanking the creature, Caelus hopped off the Qucusaurus and landed right outside Xilonen's workshop.

He had purchased several weapon and equipment blueprints from the system—designs powerful enough that Natlan's craftsmen could forge them.

Besides crafting Visions, Caelus believed the people of Natlan also needed better equipment.

His Emotion Points were limited, after all, and the number of Visions he could produce was still far too small compared to the population of Natlan.

However, by exchanging for blueprints and having Natlan's craftsmen manufacture them, they could create powerful equipment usable by all Natlan warriors.

As Caelus was about to enter Xilonen's workshop, he noticed someone had arrived before him.

"Mavuika!"

A mature woman with leopard ears gnashed her teeth at the red-haired woman in front of her, looking like a cat with its fur standing on end.

"Didn't I just help you adjust the functions of your Flamestrider two days ago?"

"Why are you here again?"

Facing the irritated Xilonen, Mavuika remained as calm as ever.

"Xilonen, don't worry," Mavuika said with a slight smile. "I'm not here to discuss the Flamestrider today."

"That's good—"

"What I want to discuss with you are the details regarding the sunglasses."

"Mavuika, you—!"

Caelus stood outside, quietly watching the "friendly discussion" between the two.

Xilonen was the most skilled craftsman in Natlan. She could forge weapons, armor, and even inscribe Ancient Names.

Meanwhile, Mavuika was a wealthy and demanding client who not only had strict requirements for her commissions but also frequently requested additional imaginative functions.

For example, features like flying, burrowing underground, or drifting on water.

If not for the limits of practicality, she might have even asked Xilonen to add a transformation mode to the Flamestrider—the kind that turns a vehicle into a mechanical warrior at the press of a button.

Caelus watched quietly from the side.

He had been busy lately, and life lacked entertainment. Occasionally watching some lively banter was quite enjoyable.

As he was observing the exchange between the two women, he noticed someone approaching.

Turning his head, he saw Kachina from the Children of Echoes tribe looking over with a shocked expression.

"Lord Pyro Archon, you—"

"Shh."

Caelus put a finger to his lips, signaling her to stay quiet, then continued watching the scene with his arms crossed.

Kachina blinked in confusion.

"I thought Caelus would have completely changed after becoming the Pyro Archon."

"But isn't he just the same as before?"

Kachina had originally come to find Xilonen to repair her Skyward Drill.

But seeing Xilonen and Mavuika arguing as usual—and Caelus simply spectating—she decided she shouldn't get involved in adult matters.

Inside the workshop, the discussion continued.

"You mean you want your sunglasses to be able to breathe fire?"

Xilonen raised an eyebrow, looking at Mavuika incredulously.

"Exactly."

"Taking the enemy by surprise is a clever way to win."

"The Abyssal Monsters are becoming more cunning. They can even transform into the likeness of our loved ones to interfere with us."

"So I need a tool that can attack without me lifting a finger."

Mavuika explained.

"Since when did the Abyss become so cunning?"

"I haven't heard of that."

Xilonen asked.

"Just yesterday."

"When Kinich and I were suppressing Abyssal Monsters, one suddenly transformed into the image of my sister. It startled me."

"I haven't seen her in such a long time."

When Mavuika said this, her expression turned solemn.

Xilonen sensed the weight in her voice and fell silent.

Abyssal Monsters capable of transforming into humans.

That was part of Kinich's character story.

Hearing Mavuika's words, Caelus recalled how Kinich obtained his Vision.

When Kinich participated in the Night Warden War, he encountered Abyssal Monsters that could take on human forms.

The squad sent to suppress the Abyss suffered heavy casualties—one could even say they were nearly wiped out.

Even Kinich himself had died under the monsters' assault.

If he hadn't awakened a Dendro Vision at the final moment and turned the tide, players might never have met this character.

However, this time, the ones leading the suppression were Mavuika and Kinich, who already possessed a Dendro Vision.

The Abyssal Monsters that once nearly annihilated a squad were easily dealt with by the two of them.

Even so, during that battle, Mavuika saw the monster mimic her sister.

Although she ultimately defeated it, striking down a monster that looked exactly like one's own kin was still a heavy burden.

Just as Caelus was considering whether to give Mavuika a few days off—

Xilonen broke the silence.

"Mavuika, I can fulfill your request for fire-breathing sunglasses," Xilonen said.

"That's wonderful." Mavuika smiled. "Then... since you've fulfilled one request, could you satisfy another?"

"?!"

"I think the Flamestrider could use some additional functions. Perhaps a mechanical transformation mode like Fontaine's meka."

"Mavuika, don't push it!"

Seeing that the atmosphere had lightened again, Caelus decided it was time to step in.

"Xilonen, before you help Mavuika add a transformation mode to her Flamestrider..."

"Could you complete my commission first?"
