Renji woke up from his stupor and he squinted his eyes. He breathed air and it was not painful. His eyes welled tears even just feeling that he was alive.
"I am alive? He muttered. Where am I?" He muttered in disbelief.
He noticed that it was a dilapidated home with roof has droplets of water and outside was raining. He immediately went to remember the familiar feeling.
"Wait, is this....." He saw the calendar and it was 3026. He was sent back in the past! And by recognising the place, it was their home in the past!
He heard voices outside the room and he remembered it, the tone, the pitch of their voice. It was his parents!
He immediately slammed the door open and saw them talking outside. They felt famished and thin but still able. He immediately broke down in tears and then he hugged them.
"Mom! Dad!" He shouted while feeling the pain in his heart. He did not wanted to see them die again. Not ever!
"Oh, our son have a nightmare. Hush hush," Anna patted Renji on his back. Reynold also hugged him and then it felt several minutes that Renji was still sniffling in tears.
He immediately calmed down and then smiled. "I will never let you have hardships again. I promise that." He said to them.
"Um okay, but don't worry about us. You must take care of your own, son." Reynold said to him.
"Okay dad!" He replied. "But I will take care of you all, in the near future, I promise!"
"Okay, okay, we will look forward to that." Reynold said.
"With that, I have a present for you. Happy birthday!" Reynold then gave him a box.
He opened the box and then saw a cracked phone. A charger and a pin.
"Thank you dad! And mom!" He replied. He immediately went to check the phone and then charged it.

Renji gave her shyly and then she smiled when she grabbed it all. "Okay, one hour." She gave the password of the WiFi and then counter starts rolling.
Then he immediately went to create his Email and then went to the app store. He downloaded the apps needed for his second hand phone and then saw that there was an update in the UI. He downloaded it and then booted the phone again.
Waiting there was time consuming and he only had one hour to download the game. And also, there were tutorial phase which will consume more time.
He finished updating his phone and with that, it got fresh looks and also faster responses. The CP has now optimization and has a game turbo added to the apps. Also, he saw that it has cooling mode now. In which will make the phone to cool down. Though the crack could be replaced with a brand new screen but that was in the future.
He immediately saw the date today and he was surprised, it was the time for the release of the game he awaited. "Today is the day!"

He has to deal with it as for now and then will buy a new phone to play the game when he could. Especially the phone that has the best cooling system. It had a fan inside the phone and could run it to 120 hz gameplay without heating with its fan on.
As for now, he would make this his place to play games after school. Also, he could not wait to play with his friends in the school. They would have a bonding time with each other and could not wait till the event of their school. The yearly eSports contest of their intramurals was nearing and he would join.
Now that he has 10 years of experience, he would demolish their enemies!
As for the place, he could make this a gaming place from now on. Now that he has to play while earning. But it was for the future, he still has to play the tutorial phase.
