"Thank you for the purchase."
Satoru left the shop with a bag full of ice cream and sweets.
"No discount even after all my purchases," he clicked his tongue. "What a stingy owner."
Despite his irritated mood, the taste of chocolate quickly lifted his spirits, and he started humming as he walked the street, oblivious to the glances he received.
"By the way, where's that little sister of mine?" Satoru paused, remembering his twin sister, whom he hadn't seen all day.
Knowing she was unlikely to be home without bothering him, he headed to her usual hiding spot in the forest.
Upon arriving, he lifted his blindfold and activated the Six Eyes, causing his vision to expand further.
He didn't know if it was an initial ability of the Six Eyes or a mutation, but he could also use all Byakugan abilities.
In a few moments, he managed to locate his sister but was surprised to find her being pushed to the ground by three older kids.
"Son of …"
Without delay, he coated his legs with chakra and burst toward their location.
A bully grabbed Hinata's collar and was just about to punch her when a hand stopped him.
"What do you think you're doing?" Satoru looked at him coldly.
Without waiting for a response, he flipped the bully and threw him to the ground.
The other two tried to help, but two punches to the stomach caused them to collapse and vomit.
"Brother?!" Hinata called from behind.
"Just give me a minute, please."
Satoru didn't turn, trying to calm the rage in his heart before grabbing the hair of the oldest-looking bully.
"Seeing the amount of chakra you have, you must be in the ninja school, right?" Satoru asked. "You've seen her white eyes, so you should know that she's a Hyuga, right? Then how dare you bully her? Aren't you afraid, or just stupid?"
Satoru truly couldn't understand the mindset of such idiots. The Hyuga clan was Konoha's elite clan with numerous ninja under its banner. Yet, a few civilians dared to bully someone from such a fearsome clan. Were they brave, or had it been so long since the war that they'd forgotten their fear of the ninja who fought for them?
The bully in his grip tried to speak, but Satoru silenced him with a slap.
"Shhh, I don't want to hear your excuse. I'll just make sure you don't mess with people easily anymore."
Without hesitation, he coated his palm with chakra and hit several points, closing his chakra pathways.
"You'll never be able to use chakra unless you get help from a Hyuga Shinobi."
He did the same to the rest before sending them away with kicks.
After throwing the garbage away, he turned to Hinata, who was still sitting on the ground.
"Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." She tried to stand but slipped; fortunately, he caught her.
"Did you hurt yourself?" Satoru checked her and found her ankle a little swollen.
"Damnit. I shouldn't have let them go that easily." He cursed, trying not to touch the wound.
'If only I knew medical jutsu,' he thought.
Satoru tore his blindfold and wrapped it around her swollen ankle.
"Brother," Hinata tried to stop him, as she knew he liked that blindfold.
"Don't move and let me do it. It's just a blindfold." Satoru left no room for refusal and quickly finished wrapping.
"Now, can you tell me why you snuck away from home? Was the old man harsh on you again, or did you just want to watch that Naruto kid?"
Satoru didn't ask her why she didn't defend herself, as he knew she was soft and let herself get hurt rather than striking back.
Her cheeks flushed, and she buried her head in her knees, which made Satoru know the answer.
"Honestly, I have no idea why you're attached to that kid." Satoru shook his head helplessly.
The little girls of this world seemed brain-dead to think of these things at such a young age. Still, he had no intention of interfering in Hinata's life, despite not liking that his sister was smitten.
"What a hassle." Satoru stood up and started walking away.
"Where are you going?" Hinata asked hastily, afraid he would leave her alone.
"Relax. I'm just going to grab the sweets I threw." He waved his hand. "Those kids' parents will definitely come complaining to the clan. So, I'd rather avoid the old man's nagging and stay here for a while."
He returned a moment later with the bag and sat beside her. He handed her a chocolate bar. "Sugar helps with shock, and you'll feel better."
She accepted it with both hands. "Thank you... brother."
"Next time, call me if someone bothers you. I don't care if they're civilians, academy brats, or some arrogant branch member. I'll deal with it."
Hinata stayed silent for a while, munching the chocolate, before asking hesitantly, "Can I... train with you?"
Satoru looked at her and blinked in surprise. "Train with me? Why, isn't Father teaching you every day?"
"Yeah, but... you're much gentler and won't scold me."
Upon hearing her answer, Satoru burst out laughing. "Haha, yeah, sure. We could train together whenever you want... but Hinata, I need to know something first."
He looked at her seriously. "Are you training so you can prove something to the old man, or so you can keep up with your dear Naruto?"
Seeing his smirk, Hinata flushed and lightly hit his shoulder. "Shut up."
"Haha, sorry, sorry. I just couldn't help it." Seeing her embarrassed look made him feel happier. Maybe that's what it was like having younger siblings.
But his smile quickly vanished, and he suddenly hugged Hinata and jumped away.
A second later, two hands burst from the ground at the spot they had just been sitting.
"Ah, you escaped." A surprised voice rang out before a ninja emerged from the ground and looked at them in wonder. "I really thought I had you there. I didn't expect brats like you to be on guard."
Satoru ignored the chatterbox and focused on the ninja headband with narrow eyes.
"Kumo?"
