How talent and skills ranks work:
Talents don't have a rank. Simple as that, talents are defined by the user: how they use them, evolve them, and utilize them.
Of course some talents are inferior to others, but that's just life.
Skills: Skill can be gained either by getting an inheritance, gaining them when you awaken or you get them when progressing in your 'talent' and awakening more skill.
You can think of them as 'sub-talents' on a lesser scale.
Affinities: these are born from your talent aswell, although an affinity isn't necessary and some talents don't grant some.
Affinities evolve with your understanding and control over it. You can have multiple. They can be awakened the same as skill, just a lot harder.
And they scale with the users rank.
If a person is S rank, all their skills with be S rank and have the power of an S rank. And let's say that person ranks up to SS rank the skills will evolve and grow with that new rank.
This makes fighting across ranks hard but not impossible do to the discrepancy between talents.
Of course fights aren't defined by just talents and skill, things such as fighting techniques or battle IQ and more factors are in the equation aswell.
Mana: mana is the fundamental energy of reality, it governs and fuels all powers within existence.
Mana can also be used to make 'pacts' such as:
"I swear on the mana that governs reality that I will forever serve and never betray Noah von vale"
With both party's consent the pact will take effect. This pact is literally impossible to break and unless the pact that was made itself has a loophole the actual 'pact' has no loop hole.
I'll update more once the Noah reaches S rank because that's were domains and other things come into play.
