Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Super Support

After a simple introduction, Aiden explained the importance of "Falna."

"...Therefore, in order to possess the power to protect yourself and fight in this world, you need Furina to inscribe Falna on you and become a member of our 'Focalors Familia'."

Robin listened quietly and nodded understandingly. "I understand. Then, I'll trouble Lady Furina."

"I'll go out for a bit."

Aiden spoke tactfully; after all, inscribing Falna required exposing one's entire back.

He turned and walked out of the wooden house, leaving the space to the two girls.

Not long after, Furina's call came from inside the room.

Aiden pushed the door open and entered, seeing that Robin had already tidied up her dress and was standing to the side with a smile.

Furina, on the other hand, waved the parchment in her hand at him with a face full of excitement.

"How is it?"

Aiden asked curiously.

"See for yourself; it's simply amazing!"

Furina stuffed the parchment into Aiden's hand.

Aiden didn't stand on ceremony. Although a Familia member's status was personal privacy, as the Captain of this new Familia, he had to have a clear understanding of every member's potential and abilities.

He believed that the intelligent Robin definitely understood this point as well.

He unfolded the parchment, his gaze scanning it quickly.

Name: Robin

Race: Human (?)

Level: Lv.1

Basic Abilities: Strength: I-0 / Endurance: I-0 / Dexterity: I-0 / Agility: I-0 / Magic: I-0

Magic:

[Pinion's Aria]

• Type: Sound Magic · Super Short Chant

• Effect: Excites magic power through minimalist syllables to release a sharp, highly penetrating directional sonic shockwave like a bird flapping its wings.

• Chant: "Resound!"

[Vox Harmonique, Opus Cosmique]

• Type: Enchantment Magic · Long Chant

• Effect: Burns a large amount of her own magic power to perform "Rank Sublimation" on a designated teammate (including herself).

• Sublimation Effect: Causes the target's basic abilities (Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility, Magic) to gain a massive boost equivalent to temporarily raising one Adventurer Level (Lv) for a short time.

• Target and duration are determined by her own Magic and Mind (spiritual force).

• Chant: "Listen to this stellar movement that weaves fate! With melody as a ladder, cross the barriers of mortality! At this moment, please journey to the firmament with me—[Vox Harmonique, Opus Cosmique]!"

Skills:

[Overture of Inebriation]

• Effect: When activating magic, recovers a portion of the Magic and Mind consumed by that magic.

[Tonal Resonance]

• Effect: When fighting side-by-side with teammates, produces a wondrous "Fate Resonance." Increases the efficiency of experience points gained from battle for herself and all teammates. Effect grows with the number of teammates and degree of tacit understanding (the more people and better the coordination, the higher the bonus).

After reading Robin's status panel, a trace of understanding flashed in Aiden's eyes.

Just as he expected.

Two spells, two skills—this initial configuration could already be called luxurious.

But what was truly astonishing were the effects of these spells and skills.

[Vox Harmonique, Opus Cosmique] turned out to be a "Level Boost" magic of the same type as "Uchide no Kozuchi," the magic of that lustful fox, one of the three big cheaters in the original work.

This meant that as long as Robin grew, she alone could raise the entire team's combat power by a tier.

And the skill [Tonal Resonance] was a perfect team growth accelerator.

Combined with the attack magic [Pinion's Aria] for self-protection and [Overture of Inebriation] to guarantee sustainability, Robin was simply a perfect support who could fight, buff, and brought her own team experience buff.

As a teammate, she couldn't be better.

At the same time, Aiden completely confirmed his previous guess.

Characters summoned by the System wouldn't bring the power from their original worlds.

They were like characters in a gacha game; whether they were a Demon King destroying the world or a hero saving it in their original story, once they entered the pool and were summoned, they had to start from the most basic Lv.1.

Robin was no exception.

In her own world, she was a pathstrider walking on the Path of "Harmony," possessing power unimaginable to mortals.

But coming to this world, everything reset to zero; she was thoroughly "washed" into a blank slate.

However, although the power was gone, that unique "potential" was completely preserved.

This was exactly the reason why she could possess such a luxurious skill and magic configuration right from the start.

A super support with infinite potential was now in place.

Night fell. The hustle and bustle of the northern village had long faded, leaving only the sound of wind lingering under the eaves.

Since the wooden house only had two rooms, sleeping arrangements for the three of them became a problem.

Finally, under Aiden's arrangement, Alfia's room was temporarily assigned to Furina and Robin.

"Wow, this room is so big and clean."

As soon as Furina entered, she looked around curiously. She bounced on the edge of that large bed, finding it very novel.

Robin didn't speak; she just stood quietly in the center of the room, her lake-green eyes looking around.

She could tell that no one had lived in this room for a long time, but it was cleaned very thoroughly. She also saw the flash of complex emotion deep in Aiden's eyes when he made the arrangements.

This intelligent songstress didn't ask much; she just smiled and bade Aiden goodnight, closing the door considerately.

The next day, the sky was still dim, with a trace of light just peeking over the horizon.

When Robin rose quietly, intending to do her part for her new Familia and take on the responsibility of preparing breakfast, slight sounds and the aroma of food were already drifting from the kitchen.

She walked over and saw Aiden busily working in front of the stove with practiced ease.

He put the sliced cured meat into the pan. Grease was forced out by the heat, making a sizzling sound, and a rich meat fragrance permeated the air instantly.

In another pot, oat porridge was bubbling and steaming.

He did it so naturally, as if countless mornings over the past six years had started alone like this.

Robin stood at the door, an inexplicable emotion rising in her heart.

There was surprise, approval, and a trace of heartache she didn't even notice herself.

She subconsciously felt a bit ashamed; letting a boy younger than herself prepare breakfast made her feel somewhat apologetic.

"Good morning, Aiden. Do you need help?"

She asked softly.

"Good morning, Robin."

Aiden turned his head, a faint smile on his face.

"No need, it'll be ready soon. You and Furina go wash up first."

As soon as he finished speaking, Furina wandered out of the room rubbing her eyes and yawning. She had been navigated precisely by the aroma of food. Sleepy-eyed, she asked, "Smells so good... Aiden, what good things are we eating this morning?"

For this carefree Lady Goddess, there obviously weren't that many complex thoughts; having good food was enough to make her happy all day.
