Chapter 404 - Chapter 414: Compromise

The course of the meeting went without any major disturbances.

Of course, Faen wouldn't naively believe it was simply because these people had become easier to talk to.

It was purely because, with the Noxian invasion as a precedent, these sages had more or less realized that the world today was no longer what they thought it was.

Even so, upon learning that Faen intended to readjust the Quinlons, many elders still instinctively voiced their opposition.

"Although the Quinlons may seem like nothing more than ordinary stone monuments on the surface, they are the manifestation of the Spirit of Ionia in the material realm."

Looking at Faen, a relatively moderate elder in the Temple of the Everlasting frowned and said:

"On this premise, any artificial alteration or contact could potentially cause unknown changes to the natural ecology of all of Ionia in the material realm."

"If this were in the past, it might have been fine. But the situation is different now; Ionia has just emerged from war. If we suddenly undergo such a drastic change again, it is highly likely that the people's fear for the future will violently impact the spiritual realm."

In a sense, what this elder said was reasonable. He didn't just blindly disagree, but voiced his genuine perspective—Ionia had just been freed from war, but the people's minds had not yet been freed from the tension of it.

Under these circumstances, if the lives people had grown accustomed to were swept away by wild nature, the ideological shifts caused by such drastic changes could cause Ionia to begin collapsing from the spiritual realm once again.

However, Faen didn't care about any of this. He simply stated calmly, "This is the will of the natural spirits."

There was no need for too much nonsense. Ionians revered the natural spirits, so Faen simply used the natural spirits to shut these guys up directly.

Just like right now—they were all fully prepared for a debate, but the moment Faen brought out the will of the natural spirits as his justification, everyone present fell into silence. Then, another person on the side spoke up:

"What about the Vastayans? According to ancient pacts, the Quinlons have been guarded by the Vastayans for generations. Those children of nature living in the ancient jungles will absolutely never allow us to approach the Quinlons."

To this, Faen was not surprised. Even Darha beside him gave an almost imperceptible shake of her head.

He had long anticipated that these sages would use the spiritual realm and the Vastayans as excuses. That was exactly why Faen had discussed it with Darha beforehand, resolving the potential issues they might raise in advance to prevent them from using them as bargaining chips once the talks began.

With this in mind, Faen said, "I am equally aware of this, and I have made ample preparations for it."

As he spoke, Faen clapped his hands. Immediately following that, a figure stepped out from a side door.

Tall and boasting a graceful figure. Although draped in a large cloak, the pair of ears standing erect atop her head confirmed without a doubt that the person before them was of Vastayan descent.

Glancing at Faen, a faint, hazy lust lingered in her eyes. Then, Xayah arrogantly shifted her gaze toward the other people present.

However, true to Xayah's own personality, excluding Faen, when looking at anyone else, her gaze couldn't just be described as purely arrogant—it was utterly and thoroughly apathetic.

It was as if she wasn't looking at a group of people, but rather a bunch of inferior lifeforms.

Although Riven had previously mentioned that after being thoroughly fucked, a heartfelt feeling would arise that Faen was the only true man, the only true alpha male, and everyone else was just inferior livestock.

If Riven still knew that this irrational comparison shouldn't be taken entirely seriously and required careful discernment, for Xayah, there was no need for such discernment at all.

Vastayans were inherently nobler and more superior to humans—this wasn't Xayah jumping to baseless conclusions, but a fact that Vastayans simply possessed far greater natural talents than humans.

Whether it was physical strength, stamina, bone density, or their perception of the natural spirits and connection to magic, Vastayans held unique and unparalleled advantages.

And as a race born from the union of humans and the Vastayashai'rei, in a sense, Vastayans were essentially one of the evolutionary paths for humans in Runeterra.

But Faen was different—with both her body and soul utterly conquered, in Xayah's eyes, comparing Faen horizontally to other humans was an absolute insult to him.

Even purely from a biological male perspective, Faen was vastly superior as an alpha. Being able to breed with such an outstanding male, to bear his offspring, and act as a cum-dumpster to relieve his physiological needs, was clearly her ultimate honor.

So much so that in Xayah's eyes, all females, whether human or Vastayan, should view getting knocked up by Faen and serving as his sexual outlet as their greatest pride.

Harboring this thought, Xayah swept a cold gaze over everyone present, then stated calmly:

"Representing the Raven tribe and the Vastayans of Qaelin Island, I choose to endorse Master Faen's decision to intervene with the Quinlons to ensure a better development for Ionia's material realm."

Pausing for a moment, a flash of pure bliss surfaced in the depths of Xayah's eyes, though her face maintained its composure as she added:

"At the same time, in order to bridge the long-standing conflict between our two races, I, as a Vastayan, will also become Master Faen's wife.

While serving Master Faen like a devoted slut, bearing his offspring, and continuing his bloodline, I will make greater efforts to strengthen the bond between our two races."

Hearing Xayah's words, a look of confusion flashed through the eyes of the many masters present.

While bearing Faen's offspring and continuing his bloodline? And then making greater efforts for the bond between the two races?

Isn't there something wrong with the order of priorities here?

Though internally puzzled, considering that Xayah, as a Vastayan, might not understand certain traditions of the Temple of the Everlasting, the sages and masters present didn't dwell on such minor details, turning their thoughts back to the matter of the Quinlons.

But whether it was the connection with the spiritual realm, the bond with the natural spirits, or even relations with the Vastayans, Faen was much more deeply intertwined with them all than any of the sages. Thus, this meeting concluded amidst the heavily concerned expressions of the numerous elders.

Once the meeting ended, Faen followed Darha back to her boudoir located within her spiritual realm.

"Although they agreed, those sages probably won't cooperate easily."

Darha sighed, speaking with some helplessness, "When it actually comes time to implement it, I'm sure they will constantly come up with new 'concerns'."
