Not far from the camp flowed a clear stream.
Neatly placed by the water were various garments—lingerie in light, misty tulle, delicate lace, body-hugging designs, and bold hollow patterns—all exuding a faint fragrance.

"Huh?" Song Xia blinked but then nodded.
Qingqing and Zhao Mingyue, catching on to the gossip, quietly approached Mu Nujiao. Each grabbed one of her hands, surprising her.
"What are you doing?" Mu Nujiao panicked.
"Jiaojiao~ You're familiar with Wang Feng, right? How do you know he won't peek? And we have two beautiful women here~" Qingqing teased, eyes gleaming with mischief.
Mu Ningxue, from afar, perked up at the name Wang Feng, listening in.
Mu Nujiao's fair cheeks flushed, voice low: "I… I'm his tenant, so I know a little about his personality."
"Tenant… living together?" Zhao Mingyue licked her lips.
"So the rumors are true~"
At that moment, Song Xia also joined, entering the stream and the gossip.
"What rumors?" Qingqing and Zhao Mingyue asked simultaneously, curious.
"There's a rumor in Mingzhu that goddess Mu and the big devil Wang Feng live together. Didn't expect it to be true!" Song Xia explained.
"Oh~ so you really live together!" Qingqing replied, secretly glancing at Mu Ningxue, curious about her reaction.
Mu Ningxue didn't react much, still washing her silver hair.
"No, we're not living together. Just tenants…" Mu Nujiao blushed and lowered her head, almost hiding her face in her chest.
But Qingqing, Zhao Mingyue, and Song Xia pressed on.

Desperate, Mu Nujiao explained how she and Wang Feng met and why they ended up sharing a house.
Finally, she added, "I really have no other relationship with him!"
Yet the phrasing implied a subtle cover-up, and the three girls' eyes flashed with cunning—they didn't fully believe her.
"Oh~ so that's how it is~" Qingqing stretched the words meaningfully.
"Jiaojiao, be careful. Wang Feng is handsome and powerful—very popular~" Zhao Mingyue smiled.
"Exactly! If I weren't 'Princess Taiping,' I would've confessed to him!" Qingqing added.
Mu Nujiao's blush deepened. She muttered, "Don't talk nonsense… he and I are really just ordinary friends…"
Mu Ningxue, still with her back turned, smiled faintly. She now understood the relationship between Mu Nujiao and Wang Feng.
"I'll have to ask Xinxia when I get back," she thought.

Late at night, only the embers of the campfire and Zhao Manyan on watch remained.
Lu Zhenghe quietly stepped out of the tent, his footsteps almost silent.
"Where are you going?" Zhao Manyan asked casually.
"To the bathroom," Lu Zhenghe replied, hurriedly.
"Remember to go downwind!"
"I understand." Lu Zhenghe nodded and quickly moved away.
He found a secluded spot, confirmed no one was following, then pulled out a pen-like device from his pocket. Pressing the button, it lit a red glow with a "tick-tick" sound.
He buried the signal stick under leaves and soil, ensuring it wouldn't be discovered. A sinister smile spread across his face.
"Wang Feng! Just wait… your death will come when my brother arrives!"
He returned to the camp, pretended to be drowsy, greeted Zhao Manyan, and went into his tent.
Unknown to him, Wang Feng had emerged from the darkness shortly after.
"Sure enough, he placed a locator. Exposing one more system was worth it…" Wang Feng smiled meaningfully. "Perhaps this puppetry talent can be useful."

After a week of trekking along railway tracks, the training team reached their destination: the deserted city of Jinlin.
"Captain, do we need to scout each location one by one?" Qingqing asked, referring to Wang Feng. Decisions along the way always defaulted to him, with Mu Ningxue following.
Wang Feng shook his head calmly. "No need. Let's split up to move faster."
"How do we divide the groups?" Qingqing asked.
Wang Feng thought a moment. "Mu Ningxue, Mu Nujiao, and Moon form one team. The remaining teams will be from the Imperial Capital Academy, the Pearl Academy, and I'll go alone."
"This… Captain, are you really okay alone?"
Zhao Manyan muttered, "I think we'd have problems, but Brother Wang won't. Even all of us together can't match him."
"Hmm…" Everyone nodded; Zhao Manyan's words seemed reasonable.
"Decided. Let's finish the survey in one day and return tomorrow!"
Wang Feng raised his hand, a moon-white light flashing. Moon appeared instantly before everyone.
"Meet at the church in Jinlin City this evening!"
With that, Wang Feng walked toward the center of Jinlin City.
