Faye got home and met Princess right by the high-tech racing simulator, over in the quiet corner of the game room.
"I'm home, babe" Faye sang out cheerfully to the girl.
"Welcome back, baby. How was everything at the gym, and did you happen to bring pizza?" Princess asked without taking her eyes off the screen. She was still aggressively playing the game, her hands tight around the steering wheel as the simulator moved along with every sharp turn.
"Yes, this is the chicken pizza and the bag of orange chips for me. I also stopped by the convenience store on the way, and guess who are officially friends now? Beam and Bambi…" Faye said, dropping the pizza box onto one of the side table before opening her chips and eating a handful.
Princess's eyes remained on the racing track.
