Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: I'm Emiya Shirou

Looking into the mirror, I saw a handsome teenage boy with ginger-colored hair.

"Emiya Shirou."

The name escaped my mouth and scratched my head in annoyance.

I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, yet the place around me was completely unrecognizable. Even so, my body moved purely on muscle memory.

On top of that, I dreamed about Archer-Emiya. I thought I watched too much Fate, enough for me to dream about Archer in full detail.

Dang it… Of all people, Why did i become Emiya Shirou?

"Luckily, based on the memory of this body, I'm the version from Illya's magical girl timeline of Fate."

I wanted to believe this was just a dream, but the connection I have to the Reality Marble denied that hope.

Then I noticed it.

A floating panel above my head.

Unique Skill: Harem Protagonist — EX

This ability does not manipulate emotions directly; instead, it bends timing, chance, and circumstance so that sincere actions are perceived as deeply meaningful.

"I'm OP… well, not that overpowered, but at least strong enough to fight a weak Servant," I muttered while staring at the toothbrush.

But then—my soul is damaged? How? I don't remember why my soul is damaged at all.

I don't even remember a single thing about my past life.

Maybe I was Archer Emiya from the start. Yet if that's the case, how do I know about Type-Moon and so many things related to the Fate series?

Shaking my head, I decided to think about it later and focus on something cool—something Archer always uses.

"I am the bone of my sword." This feels like a wet dream.

"Trace—On."

Ding.

The instant I said it, several sub-skills activated on their own, and my brain was immediately assaulted with the complete construction of the toothbrush, and for some cursed reason, its entire usage history.

-_-

Why.

Why did I have to see Illya brushing her teeth in full HD, tongue included?

I staggered back

"This is disgusting," I said solemnly. "Note to self: never, ever use Trace On on a used toothbrush again."

I let go of the toothbrush, and it dissolved into blue particles. Just as I was about to leave the bathroom, I froze.

Standing at the door was Leysritt, staring at me with her mouth wide open.

Oh my god…It's only day one, and I already got caught.

_______________________

Leysritt called my mother and father.

Of course she did.

And, as if the universe itself was mocking me, they had just returned around this time, after being gone for a year.

Perfect timing.

"I blame Zelretch," I said to them.

My father and mother stood in front of me, arms crossed, eyes sharp enough to dissect my soul. They were clearly ready to start questioning me, but I beat them to it.

I knew my father was hiding a gun somewhere on him, and that my mother was controlling wire, or some kind of thread behind the scenes.

As for Sella… she wasn't even trying to hide it. She was openly holding a spear.

Then there was no point in hiding it. I decided to gamble.

"I, Emiya Shirou, have a dream."

Wait. Why does that sound so familiar?

Did I just say a meme without realizing it?

"Shirou?" Irisviel said sweetly. "Mama is waiting for your explanation. If you don't finish it…"

She smiled beautifully. "…I will decapitate your master."

The smile was gentle. But It still made me shudder.

"I dreamed about my future self. He was from a different version of me, someone who became a Counter Guardian known as Counter Guardian EMIYA, a man who inherited Kiritsugu's dream of becoming a Hero of Justice."

Kiritsugu's eyes widened.

That was a dream he had abandoned, for his family, for Illya, for Irisviel. He had never spoken of it out loud not to anyone.

So how could Shirou possibly know about it?

Irisviel was just as shocked.

For a moment, the room was silent.

Then, slowly, both of my parents calmed down.

"Did Zelretch send you here?" Kiritsugu asked. "Or did you use some kind of miracle to send your memories to the past?"

"No, I didn't. I have a contract with Alaya, and that contract turned me into the Hero of Justice I once dreamed of, while also becoming the curse of my future self." I paused then continue.

"I never met Zelretch," I said. "I only know of him because he's a well-known user of True Magic—specifically the Second Magic, Kaleidoscope—which allows him to travel between parallel worlds. All I can say is that maybe I got trolled into receiving the memories of my future self."

I hesitated, then continued.

"Well… it's not the first time Emiya Shirou has inherited memories from a future self anyway. In that timeline—the one where I became a so-called Hero of Justice—you continued the Holy Grail War."

The room grew quiet.

"That war caused a massive fire in Fuyuki," I said softly. "It killed my parents and turned me into an orphan. Kiritsugu saved me from the flames. And because I survived the fire…" I looked up at him. "I ended up saving Kiritsugu too."

Kiritsugu's face had gone pale.

Irisviel's hand tightened around his arm.

"…The Fuyuki Fire," Kiritsugu murmured. "That future…"

"It's one of many. Because I have some memories of Counter Guardian EMIYA, I know about many future outcomes and singularities that could lead to humanity's extinction," I said. "But that one… it's the future that created Archer. The one where your ideals survived longer than you did."

The silence that followed was heavy—thick with regret, relief, and fear of a future that no longer quite existed.

"…So," Irisviel said gently, breaking the tension, "this time is different?"

I nodded.

"Perhaps my memories came here because the world always needs a nameless hero or the one who would become my future self. Whether I want it or not, contract or no contract, I always end up getting involved… and saving humanity."

Then I smiled at them.

Without my knowledge It was the same smile Archer gave Rin at the end of Fate/Unlimited Blade Works.

"I vouch for the kid."

A new voice suddenly appeared right behind Leysritt and Sella, both of whom stiffened in shock after hearing my story.

"Zelretch…" The moment I looked at the old man, I knew exactly who he was.

"I didn't expect you to figure out what I did so quickly," Zelretch said with an amused grin. "Perhaps becoming a Counter Guardian really does sharpen one's perception. Still, it's not much of a surprise, some versions of you were among the first to stop the birth of a Beast of Humanity."

Zelretch's eyes gleamed as he looked at me, he was clearly entertained.

Kiritsugu reacted instantly.

In the blink of an eye, the gun was in his hand, aimed squarely at Zelretch's head. The room seemed to drop several degrees as killing intent flooded the air.

Irisviel moved just as fast.

The threads she controlled tightened, invisible yet unmistakable, weaving a silent net between Zelretch and the rest of us. Her expression remained gentle—but her eyes were sharp, glowing faintly with prana.

"…A True Magic user," Kiritsugu said coldly. "In my house."

Zelretch chuckled. "Ah, that brings back memories."

"State your purpose," Irisviel said calmly, though the pressure in the air said she was ready to tear him apart at a moment's notice.

Zelretch raised both hands in mock surrender. "Easy now. I'm only here as a witness."

Kiritsugu didn't lower the gun. "You just admitted to interfering with my son."

Zelretch's smile widened. "Interfering is such a harsh word. Let's call it… correcting probability."

I swallowed. "You trolled me."

"That too," Zelretch admitted cheerfully.

Kiritsugu's finger tightened on the trigger. "Explain. Now."

Zelretch glanced at me, eyes sparkling. "Well, you see, Kiritsugu, your son has a nasty habit of becoming a necessary hero of justice in far too many worlds."

Irisviel's grip on the threads tightened. "…And you thought that justified dragging him into this?"

Zelretch tilted his head. "The world did. I just made sure he arrived early this time."

The room went silent again.

Kiritsugu finally spoke, his voice low and dangerous. "If a single harm comes to him"

"Oh, please," Zelretch interrupted, smiling. "In most timelines, he's the one protecting everyone."

"It's his fate." Zelretch's eyes gleamed as he looked at me. "Even the voice of the world has given you something."

That did nothing to ease the tension.

Zelretch glanced around the room, then sighed theatrically. "Really, these family are far scarier than any Beast."

I wasn't sure if that was a compliment.

"I don't want you interfering with the collection of the Class Cards," Zelretch said, ignoring the weapons aimed at him by Leysritt, Sella, and my parents.

"Why?" I asked. I already knew he was talking about Illya and the others.

"I want my students to grow," Zelretch replied. "If you help them, they won't grow at all. Though…"

He chuckled.

"Maybe if you put your life on the line again, it would make them stronger, and painfully aware of their own weakness."

Zelretch laughed and vanished before I could answer.

Just as everyone began to relax, the tension returned when his voice echoed through the room again.

"Also, this world is different from the one you know."

I looked at the voice recorder on the table. It vanished as well.

"Shirou…" Irisviel said softly. "Don't do anything dangerous. If it becomes too dangerous, tell us, and we will help you."

She gently pulled Kiritsugu upstairs with her.

Sella sighed and pulled me into a hug before leaving the room.

That left me alone with Leysritt. She pulled me next to her, turned on the TV, and we started playing games.

Ignoring the fact that it was already 2 in the morning, the two of us ended up playing for hours before i succumbed to sleep.
