Chapter 5 - A Princess's Troubles

As Lina walked with the group, she gradually calmed down. Although the situation remained absurd, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was watching a play from the perspective of an outsider rather than actually participating in it. Everything seemed too strange to be real, from the sudden death of three princes to the prospect of inheriting a throne in a world she knew nothing about. Fortunately, mourning clothes didn't appear to be customary here, or at least nobody had suggested that she change into any. Otherwise, given her indifferent expression and complete lack of genuine grief for three men she had never met, she might already have been condemned by the royal censors before getting anywhere near the throne.
