POV: Scott
Let's be honest?
I'm sick of this shit.
Like, I've spent almost a year doing nothing but getting screwed over, trying to get the bare minimum of protection in this fucked-up world.
I count the days until I can finally spend my days in the Maldives, relaxing all day long.
But reality? The more I try, the farther away I get from that dream.
I've been "training" Chi with Qin for almost a month now.
And even though that old bastard knows what he's doing, that doesn't change the fact that he and the Ancient One are both massive assholes.
I feel like a pressure cooker.
Just accumulating more and more pressure, waiting for the moment when I finally explode and blow everything up at once.
I want my vacation, my car, and my peace.
Scott: "I wonder how long this is going to last..."
Qin: "Not much longer. And honestly, Your cognitive capacity compared to that of a starfish isn't helping either."
Yeah, the bastard always shows up out of nowhere.
Don't ask me how. After everything I've been through, I've learned not to question this shit and just accept it.
Scott: "Okay, when can I leave?"
I can't say I'm the strongest person in the world, but during this month, I've had almost explosive growth.
I'm not exactly on the level of a super soldier or anything like that.
But with what I've cooked up during this month? I can say with absolute certainty...
Even if a super soldier like the Winter Soldier or Captain America comes after me... I'd win.
That is, if I don't fry my neurons first... But even then, the odds are finally in my favor this time.
I've already solved my main problem, and honestly? I can't wait to get the hell out of here.
Qin: "Yeah, I can't wait to get rid of you either. The feeling is mutual."
Yeah, definitely a telepath. Nothing is going to convince me otherwise.
Qin: "As for your question? You already know the basics. Literally, the bare minimum of the basics, but you know them."
Qin: "And if I count that crazy shit you came up with? Nobody normal can take you down now. Which doesn't mean much, considering about 40% of the world isn't exactly normal."
Qin: "But technically? You're good. Not perfect, but meh. Experience will take care of that part."
Honestly? I'll take it. Especially because it came from him.
Say whatever you want about the old man, but when it comes to Chi? The bastard knows what he's doing.
Qin: "I took the liberty of leaving your car at the exit. Just don't get yourself killed by some random nobody out there."
Oh.
Seriously? What's the catch this time?
I swear, if she has even a single scratch...
Qin: "Relax. I'm an asshole. Not a monster."
Qin: "Besides, it would practically be a sin to destroy a beauty like that."
Huh, who would've thought.
He actually knows his shit.
My opinion of him just went up a little, because regardless of everything...
He knows how to appreciate art.
Which means he's not as clueless and superficial as the Ancient One, so yeah.
He just got off my Hit list.
Qin: "Again, just don't go around picking fights."
Qin: "Haaa, why do I even bother? I'm sure that with your underdeveloped cerebral cortex, you're going to end up biting off more than you can chew."
Yeah, forget what I said.
I'm definitely going to fuck him over later.
Scott: "Okay, okay, I get it. I'm not that stupid."
Qin: "I completely disagree."
Son of a bitch.
Scott: "Okay, okay. How do I get out of here?"
Qin gives me that old crooked smile of his and says.
Qin: "Oh, simple."
Qin: "The same way you came in."
Wait, what?
That's all I can think before I feel the wind blowing against my face...
It doesn't take long for me to realize that I'm in free fall.
From a height that's definitely fatal.
Scott: "GO FUCK YOURSELF, QIIIIINNNN!!!!!!"
Again....
I hate my life.

POV: Qin
Huh, he's definitely cursing me out right now.
Qin: "I remembered why I haven't retired yet."
I can't control my smile thinking about it.
I really love my job.
But putting that aside, I can see why that senile old woman told me to be careful with this one.
At first, I thought he would be mediocre, since his physical talent for Chi isn't anything special.
But as karma would have it, the kid is talented when it comes to the spiritual side of Chi.
Which, ironically enough, is what I specialize in too.
Qin: "One damn month... That's all he needed to create that broken-ass technique of his."
As long as he doesn't provoke anyone, there's a very good chance he'll be fine.
And if he keeps refining what he already has, he's set.
At least when it comes to the basics.
Qin: "Oh right, I forgot to warn him... Should I..."
Qin: "Nah, I'm too old for this shit. He can handle it.... I think."
Time to Scre— teach the others.
Hehehe....
Qin: "Life really is beautiful."

POV: ???
Seriously?
???: "Is that true?"
She maintains her composure and says.
???: "Yes. Apparently, this happened recently, and with Mr. Summers' disappearance, the professor seems to have... Bend... the rules a little."
Hah! Doesn't surprise me. Charles has always been weak when it really matters.
It doesn't surprise me that he went this far when things got tight.
???: "Anything else?"
She puts another document on the table and says.
???: "Apparently, the number of missing mutant cases has increased considerably over the last six months."
Hm?
???: "The informants found something while they were looking."
???: "Thunder. That's all they found."
So it finally started, huh...
???: "Call a meeting. I think it's time we make our position clear."
She pauses for a second and asks.
???: "Would it be a formal occasion, or..."
I give her a smile.
Of course she would think that way.
???: "In the name of the White Queen."
She immediately understands...
And leaves without saying another word.
???: "The time for waiting is over. Now..."
???: "It's time to act."
