Chapter 3 - The Announcement

The next morning didn't feel normal.

Jay woke up with a smile she couldn't hide, replaying last night over and over again—the confession, the kiss, the way everything had finally fallen into place. She hugged her pillow, half embarrassed, half glowing.

Across town, Keifer wasn't much different.

He had barely slept. Not because he was tired—but because he was too happy to sleep.

Every few minutes, he'd just grin to himself like an idiot, remembering her.

Today, though… today was important.

They had to tell their friends.

The section E room with its usual noise—laughter, chatter, the sound of people living their ordinary lives.

But for Jay and Keifer, nothing felt ordinary anymore.

Jay spotted her friends first—CI-N, Devid, and Felix—sitting on their usual bench.

"Why do you look like you just won the lottery?" CI-N asked immediately, narrowing his eyes.

Jay tried to act normal. Failed instantly.

"I don't," she said, biting back a smile.

Felix leaned forward dramatically. "Oh no. That smile? That is definitely suspicious."

Devid crossed his arms. "Wait… don't tell me—"

"Guys," Jay interrupted, her cheeks turning pink. "I need to tell you something."

At the same time, a few steps away, Keifer was facing his own group.

"Bro, why are you smiling like that?" Rory asked. "It's actually scary."

"Demm," Edrix added, "you look… peaceful. That's not normal for you."

Keifer laughed nervously. "Okay, chill. I just—there's something I need to tell you guys."

Back at Jay's bench, all three of them leaned in at once.

"Say it," CI-N demanded.

Jay took a breath.

"It's about me and Keifer."

Silence.

One second.

Two seconds.

And then—

"FINALLY?!" all three shouted at the same time.

Jay blinked. "Wait—what?"

"You guys are together, right?" Felix said, already grinning like she'd solved a mystery.

Jay couldn't help it. She laughed.

"Yeah," she admitted softly. "We are."

CI-N literally jumped up from the bench. "I KNEW IT! I knew it!

Devid shook his head, smiling. "Do you have any idea how long we've been waiting for this?"

"Like, painfully long," Felix added. "There were moments we thought you'd never confess!"

Jay smiled, softer this time. "We… we made it official last night."

All three of them squealed.

Felix clutched her heart. "I cannot handle this level of romance.

Devid laughed. "Keifer actually did it. Respect."

CI-N wiped imaginary tears. "This is the love story I signed up for."

Jay felt her heart swell.

This—this happiness, not just hers, but shared—made everything feel even more real.

Meanwhile, Keifer had just dropped the news.

"I'm with Jay," he said, trying to sound calm.

Dead silence.

Then—

"ABOUT TIME!" Rory yelled.

Edrix threw his hands in the air. "BRO, DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY?!"

Keifer grinned. "You guys already knew?"

"Knew?" Rory scoffed. "You were obvious. The way you looked at her? Bro, we were tired of watching you suffer in this."

Edrix smirked. "So who confessed first?"

Keifer smiled, remembering. "She did… but I was going to."

"Sure," Eman said. "We totally believe you."

They all laughed.

"And?" yuri pressed. "Did you at least kiss her or just talk like a poet for two hours?"

Keifer shook his head, smiling wider. "Yeah… we kissed."

The boys erupted.

Eren clapped him on the back. "My man!"

Calix pointed at him dramatically. "Character development!"

Rory grinned. "Finally, some progress."

Keifer laughed, but there was something softer in his expression now.

"I'm really happy," he admitted.

His friends noticed.

And this time, instead of teasing—they smiled.

"We know," yuri said. "You look it."

Jay and Keifer sitting side by side on their chairs , holding hands.

Their friends watched the two of them, exchanging knowing looks.

"Look at them," Felix whispered. "They're glowing."

Calix nodded. "Yeah… this was meant to happen."

Keifer looked at Jay, squeezing her hand gently.

"Guess it's official-official now," he said.

Jay smiled back.

"Yeah," she said softly. "It is."

And surrounded by laughter, teasing, and people who genuinely cared—

Their love didn't just feel real.

It felt celebrated. 💛

The end .
