Third person point of view
The next day once they were done preparing for the opening, Oliver asked his staff to assemble. " You guys know that I wanted to give you a vacation. So I will not be coming for the whole week after the wedding. So you guys can also take two more days off and come back to work on Thursday. Is that okay for all of you ? "
They all cheered. " Of course we are happy. Please enjoy your honeymoon ". Oliver blushed and shooed them. " Go now. Get ready for opening ". They laughed and dispersed. Oliver always approved leaves unless it was really an impossible situation and he also gave holidays generously. The pay and food were all also good.
So they were very happy when they got more holidays. Oliver patted his red cheeks and got to work. Once the weekend arrived, he started packing his things and did it little by little over the week. They also checked the photos of the venue to confirm everything. Jacob also went in person to check again.
On Saturday, Oliver moved all the boxes to Christian's house. He labelled them all so he guided the movers in putting the boxes in the respective places. Christian was also there with him to help. Once all the boxes were moved, they stood in the bedroom looking at them. " So where shall we start ? " Christian asked, pulling his sleeves up.
Oliver took a deep breath and decided to start with the easier ones. " Let's go to the kitchen ". So they both opened the boxes in the kitchen. Christian did not have many utensils but now Oliver brought a lot of them which slowly filled up the space. Christian already had them cleaned up, making it easier.
They arranged them all neatly. And the once empty shelves and cabinets were full now. Oliver wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. " By the way, I have some books. Where do I put them ? " " I will show you ". Christian took Oliver to the study room he had beside his bedroom. It had a table with his computer, a couch, a sofa chair and some book shelves.
Oliver's eyes lit up when he saw it. He would love to sit there and read. The big sofa chair looked really fluffy and comfortable. Christian showed the half empty bookshelf. " You can put them here ". " Alright ". They went to the bedroom and came back with two boxes which were filled with books. Christian handed them to Oliver as he arranged them on the shelf.
Oliver sat down on the floor when he was done. " Ugh. I am spent ". Christian smiled. He checked the time and took out his phone to order food. " What would you like to have ? " " You know what is good around here. It is up to you ". Christian nodded and they washed their hands. Oliver fell on the couch and curled up in the corner.
Christian sat down to the other end. He placed the order from a place which was good and also arrive quickly. " We still need to arrange my clothes ". Oliver said in a hoarse voice. Christian poured a glass of water and gave it to him. Oliver gulped it all down. " We will be done after that ". He stretched and sat properly. Oliver turned to Christian.
" Did you live alone before moving in here ? " Christian shook his head. " I used to live with my parents ". Oliver nodded. " Then you haven't even lived for long and now you have to cohabit ". Christian chuckled. " It is living together after marriage ". Oliver also laughed. " Right ". The food arrived and both of them had it at the table.
They rested for a few minutes after eating and started with the wardrobe. They opened the boxes and put them in different places. Christian took them out and Oliver arranged them. " You made a lot of space ". Oliver said, hanging up the pants. Christian smiled. " It was just me so I put them wherever I like. But I actually think it is more organized now ".
Oliver smiled. He took another pair of jeans and folded it to put it in the cabinet. He took a few more from Christian and put them in. " In the future, if our clothes get mixed up, would you mind it ? " Oliver felt too nervous to look at Christian. He only saw Christian's face reflecting on the glass door in front of him.
Christian smiled and took out some more pants from the box. " No ". Oliver turned to take it and saw Christian's smile. " It would just show that our life together is going well, right ? " Oliver blushed and nodded. He turned back to hide the huge smile on his face. Christian could still see it in the reflection too. He shook his head with a smile. Really too cute.
By the time they finished everything, the sun already set. They also put away the boxes in the storage room. " Where are you planning to stay tonight ? " Christian asked as he sat on the couch. Oliver also followed him. " I am going to my parents house. My parents also took some of the things from my house. I also sent the suit with them ".
Christian nodded. " So would you like to leave after dinner ? I will make something quickly ". Oliver nodded. " Okay ". Christian washed his hands and took out an apron. Oliver sat at the counter to watch him cook. " I didn't see you wear an apron before ". " I always had it. I just didn't wear it before ". Oliver nodded.
He rested his cheek in his palm. The plain black apron seemed to give Christian a rather homely look. Oliver couldn't help thinking if this was the kind of image he would see after they are wedded. He looked down to not show the silly smile. By the time he looked up, his expression was back to normal.
Christian really did make the two dishes very quickly. They had a nice dinner and Oliver offered to clean the dishes. " It is fine. I will do it tomorrow. We had a long day. You should let it be ". He pouted a little and nodded. " Then... I will get going. I will leave my car here ". Christian nodded. Oliver booked a taxi and Christian walked him to the gate.
" Text me once you reach ". Oliver nodded and got in the car. He waved to Christian and the car drove off. Christian walked back in and went to take a shower. He put on a bathrobe once he was done and went to take clothes. He paused when he walked in. He looked around and let out a breath. The half empty wardrobe was now filled with things of two people.
He smiled and took his clothes and put them on. He sat on the bed and read a book for a while. Oliver texted him so they spoke a bit too before sleeping. Christian slept till he woke up naturally. He had a light breakfast before going to his parents house. They would go together the next day. He put away the suit in his room.
In the other house, they were all busy confirming everything and checking everything they should take with them. Oliver was also just as busy with his mom making him do everything. He fell on the bed. He was finally done. But thinking about the next day made him a bit anxious and restless. He unlocked his phone and opened his chat with Christian.
Oliver : Awake ?
Christian : Yep.
Oliver : My mind is too active to sleep.
Christian : Same actually. I am thinking of counting sheep.
Oliver laughed at those words.
Oliver : Does it work ?
Christian : I never tried it before.
Oliver shook his head with a smile and sat up, leaning against the headboard.
Christian : It will be fine. Try to relax and sleep. See you tomorrow.
Christian was also a little nervous. He was about to try to sleep when Oliver texted him. And those words were meant for himself and also Oliver. Oliver smiled and replied.
Oliver : Yeah. Good night.
Christian : Good night.
Oliver put his phone aside and got under the covers. He realized that they will be able to say good night in person from the next day. He smiled and closed his eyes. Maybe he was tired both physically and mentally, so he fell asleep quickly.
Christian also put his phone on the bedside table and slept on the bed. Jacob did tell him that the night before the wedding is almost a nightmare. Maybe he was not in such a bad state but he was not all fine too. He took a few deep breaths to calm his mind and gradually fell asleep.
